Objectives:1.The objective of ANPhA is to strengthen ”Collaboration” among Asian nuclear research scientists through the promotion of nuclear physics and its transdisciplinary use and applications.

2.The objective of ANPhA is also to promote “Education” in Asian nuclear science through mutual exchange and coordination.

3.It also aims at “Coordination” among Asian nuclear scientists by actively utilizing existing research facilities.

4.Furthermore, at a later stage, it will help to discuss future planning of nuclear science facilities and instrumentation in Asia.

1. Are you able to consider positively the formation of the Division and involvement in your area as a founding partner of a Division of AAPPS?

It is highly appropriate that ANPhA should be involved as a founding partner of the Nuclear Physics Division of AAPPS.

2. The next APPC (Asia Pacific Physics Conference) will be held in the summer of 2013. Your active participation in a Division starting from this APPC meeting is highly desired. Are you willing to contribute to this meeting?

Yes, we would be pleased to assist in organizing nuclear physics sessions in APPC 2013.

Preliminary Conversation with AAPPS

(Nov. 2011)

Page 21: Introduction to A isian N uclear Ph ysics A ssociation( ANPhA ) 亚 州核物理 联合 会

3. What type of activities can you think of within a Division?

ANPhA could contribute to the AAPPS Bulletin by taking some responsibility as a member of the editorial board.

ANPhA would like to invite AAPPS member organizations which are not members of ANPhA, when some nuclear physics activities exist but the size is not sufficient to form a community in order to strengthen their activities in their country/region by collaboration.

4. Any other comments on the formation of Divisions at AAPPS.

We are willing to assist in the formation of a viable Division of Nuclear Physics.
