* Verbs that end in –ar or –er that are stem-changing don’t change the stem vowel on the preterite tense.

The verbs DAR, SER, & IR*The verbs dar, ser, and ir are also irregular in the preterite. Dar takes the endings of regular –er, -ir verbs, but without a written accent in the first- and third person singular forms. Ser and ir have the same forms in the preterite.
