A Perspective on Interprise Modeling Research stem in the New Millennium

Abstract

Modeling of Internet-based Enterprise, Interprise in short, will be a key to success in business in the

new millennium. Information Technology supports interprise modeling-in-the-large in many ways

for (re)inventing business model and process. and relevant information systems. Such (re)inventing

methodology research is definitely needed to undertake for vitalizing soffware industry that will play

more crucial role for (r)evolving financial and every industrial sectors and IT as well.Keywords: Enterprise modeling-in-the-large, business model (re)invent, Prescriptive and

1. Introduction

New come up from Information Technology(IT) community enables us make (r)evolutionhappen not only for financial but also almostevery industrial sectors with respect to business

challenges. Application of Internet over to

enterprise organizations and activities drawsmuch more attentions in financial and

industrial sectors. The Interprise which is a neweconomical body generating synergy of IT and

business must be worth to research, since it isstill unclear that how much extent IT caneffectively support business (r)evolution whilebusiness itself can be evolved triggered by IT.Interprise modeling is needed, since the

modeling brings formation of core portion ofbusiness as a methodology of inventingpromising business model and relevantbusiness process and as a way of formingsolutions that are enacted as informationsystems. The modeling can provide several

advantages such as enhancing competitivebusiness notion, accelerating its externalization,pushing forward its market penetrating timing,reinventing all relevant business activities. Whyexisting methodologies could not contribute tosuch industrial, business and enterpriseinnovation? Because most of the existingtechnological methodologies or methodologicaltechnologies have been trying to prcvide some

helps to merely those postmortem activities as

quality and productivity improvements. TheTQM for example places much emphasis inproduct and services quality improvements thathave been but would be no longer an (most)integral issue in business for the next

millennium. It would be noteworthy that wehave to watch out much more on look forwardmethodology/technology rather thantactic-oriented one.
