One of the most important challenges you will face as professional staff will be working together with people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, while developing a mutual understanding and commitment to diversity. Diversity is about empowering people. LLCs are most effective when they capitalizes on all the experiences, strengths and contributions that each resident brings to the community.  In addition diversity requires understanding, valuing, and respecting the differences in every community member.
