HISTORY
Since the beginning of April 2011, assistance was provided for 20 school students
Currently (Dec 2018) Supporting 101 Students
Initially helped 13 University Students for 6 months from 2009 - 2010
Number of Students benefitted from this program steadily increased
Beneficiaries are selected from families : • living under poverty line • suffered losses • affected by psychosocial issues

While we continue helping these individual student’s need, we felt the need for promoting: Group learning Integration of Information Technology Cost effective sustainable process This led to the creation of Project Ooruni - ஊருணி.

Project Ooruni Objectives
• Computers to assist teaching and learning
• Provide assistance for skill training (for students who could not continue their secondary or post secondary studies)
• Explore using modern technology for teaching remotely

As we started to work on Ooruni (ஊருணி) objectives: • We came in contact with like-minded
