Laurence Tureaud, aka Mr. T (Chicago, Illinois, May 21,1952) is an American boxer

and actor.

When he was young, he played

football and studied martial

arts. He came to college on an

athletic scholarship to

finish his studies and worked as a

military policeman in the U.S. Army.

In 1970 he changed his

name by Lawrence Tero and in 1978 by

Mr. T. His famous hair is inspired on a

Manding warrior; This look showS his

African origins.

In 1982, Mr. T worked with Sylvester Stallone in the movie Rocky III, as the

boxer Clubber Lang. His life changed in 1984 when he started to work as Mario

Barracus in The A-Team.

diagnosed with

lymphoma which MADE him to leave

the show business up

to his recovery in

2001.

He has also lent his voice to animated series as The Simpsons

and Johnny Bravo.
