Maccha Cupcakes

Try these making maccha cupcakes in the cooking room. Students love them and they are a good introduction to まっちゃand the blending of Western and Japanese cooking cultures.

Ingredients

150gm plain flour

70gm whole meal flour

1 tsp baking powder

100cc vegetable oil

2 eggs

100gm sugar

100cc milk

1tsp maccha powder

¾ cup white chocolate buttons

Almonds for decoration

Method

Preheat oven to 170C

Beat oil and sugar in large bowl

Mix in egg and milk

Sift flour, baking powder and stir into wet ingredients lightly until just combined.

Do not over mix.

Add maccha and white chocolate buttons

Bake 15-20 minutes
