Duties and Responsibility:

PIPING / PIPING REFINARY/ NDT:

Read & Review Project specification, Project Quality test plan, procedure, inspection check lists, Piping Isometric drawings, P&ID and Construction plan drawings.

Pre fabrication Piping spools welding inspection & Follow up production activities, HSE walk around.

Inspection of all fit up in before, during & after welding. Review Welder Qualification Test (WQT) and Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). Responsible for the Inspection of all welding activities in the Projects covering Power

Piping, Pressure Piping, in accordance with Quality plan, Codes and Standard. Review Preheat, PWHT and Procedures for welding the Alloy steel materials such as

ASTM A519 Gr.4130, SA 335, P91, P22 & P11. Carrying out Welders Qualification Test to Qualify welders for Similar and Dissimilar

materials of Pipes and Plates as per ASME Sec -V, IX, Applicable Codes ASME Sec-I, VIII, B31.1 & B31.3.

Familiar with codes ASME- SEC V, IX, 31.3, 16.5, AWS D1.1, API 1104, BSEN 462, 499, API 570, API 6A & ABS & DNV Standards.

To check and identifying Flange material, Flange facing defect, maximum and minimum

gasket seating stress, allowable bolt stress gasket for compact flange & Hub connections.

Suggested bolting-up sequence and number of tools to be used for Hydraulic bolt

tensioning.

Studs & Nuts before used to flange to check free of dirt, corrosion and damaged.

To check Flange Qualified personnel, torque calibration certificate& check suitable gasket

as per piping ISO drawing.

Witness and verify all tests (such as Hydro test, Flood test, Vacuum test on Pipes). Materials handled so far carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex & super duplex

stainless steel, Cu-Ni, Incoly,GRE/GRP piping, tubing’s & fittings etc.

High Pressure & Low pressure all piping systems inspections carried out Line check, hydro test, Pneumatic test & Re-instatement before hand over to commissioning according to the test projects schedule.

Prior to acceptance of a system, a final walk will be conducted. Any punch list items will be noted and entered into the contractor’s data base. Punch list items will be classed as A or B. All “A” items will be cleared prior to acceptance of the system.

Complete the discipline scope safely and monitor field construction activities to ensure design requirements are met in compliance with drawings, specifications and applicable codes. Ensuring adequate inspections are carried out by contractor’s QC Department.

Support Commissioning teams. Witness on chemical cleaning & Oil flushing, pickling and passivation of Stainless steel

pipes. Witness FAT test of HP Choke & kill manifold, Mud manifold, BOP diverter control unit

& review the documents. Review of RT film interpretation and review all NDT Reports & test procedures. Raise the NCR & Punch list against the project specifications and follow up action to close

out. To inspect piping the mechanical completion inspection and found against the ISO & P&ID

raise the punch list. Final documentation review & signing for the inspection reports & NDT reports.

STRUCTURAL / OUTFITTING / NDT:

Review mill certificates and test certificates during material receiving to ensure compliance to specifications.

Read & Review Hull drawings (Primary, Secondary & out Fittings) for Approved for construction.

Familiar with project Specifications, Procedures & Inspection test plan (ITP). Controlling & Inspections of all hull/outfitting fabrication & erection activities like materials,

fit-up, welding process, preheating, visual, NDT & PWHT. Ensure that work is done with acceptable quality by monitoring daily inspecting work done

according to specification, procedure and applicable standards.

Involved in the daily inspection activities based on the Inspection request from the yard for Structural and Outfitting jobs.

Quality Control / Quality Assurance of all fabrication and construction works for project undertaken by the company.

Carry out regular internal quality audits on fabrication, construction, welding consumables, drawing and documentation control.

Witness PT, MPI, UT, RT, PWHT, PMI & Hardness testing. Review of RT film interpretation and review all NDT Reports & test procedures. Ensure that all welding procedures for the projects are identified to meet project

requirements. Witness and verify all tests (such as Hydro test, Flood test, Vacuum test on Tanks & Chalk

test, Hose test on W.T Doors & windows) applicable to discipline, and prepare reports after such tests are conducted.

Monitoring welding activities during fabrications & erections and ensure qualified welder on board and following WPS.

Review & witness Welder Qualification Test (WQT) and Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).

Raise NCR, Punch list and Surveillance reports whenever necessary and ensure corrective actions are taken timely to close all NCRs & punch lists including those issued by the clients.

Inspections carried out on the Pre fabrications & erections of HULL, PANTOON, COLUMNS, JACK CASE, UPPER & LOWER GUIDE, TRIANGULAR LEGS, SPUD CAN, CANTILEVER, DRILL FLOOR, HELIDECK, LIVING QUARTERS (ACCOMMADATIONS), CRANE COLUMN, HAVC DUCTING & OUTFITTINS JOBS.
