I  worked  with  machine  embroiderer  Louise  Gardiner  during  the  summer  term.  I  worked  alongside  Louise  in  her  studio  and  while  teaching  in  her  ‘Supersticher’  workshops.  I  enjoyed  working  with  Louise  so  much  and  gained  a  lot  of  insightful  information  about  being  a  freelance  designer.  Her  work  is  fun,  exciting  and  colourful  and  inspired  me  a  lot  during  my  Foundation  year.    

October  2010  –  October  2011:    Oasis  –  Retail  assistant  House  OF  Fraser  -­‐  Altrincham  Working  for  Oasis  helped  me  keep  up  to  date  with  the  fashion  trends  and  movements.  It  was  especially  important  to  keep  up  with  the  changing  seasons.  I  provided  great  product  knowledge  of  clothes  and  accessories  to  customers  while  also  delivering  excellent  customer  service.  I  handled  monies  and  was  given  the  authority  to  look  after  the  stand  alone.    

 August  2010  -­‐  August  2011:  The  Rope  &  Anchor  –  Waitress  -­‐  Cheshire  Working  in  a  popular  restaurant  in  the  Cheshire  countryside  meant  I  had  to  be  responsible  for  giving  great  customer  service  while  dealing  with  the  demands  of  a  busy  restaurant.  Using  skills  such  as  time  management,  organisation  and  good  communication  between  staff  and  customers.
