IntroductionWith days passing, time has brought me to acompletely new situation. When I was study-ing in high school, I used to visualise the pic-ture of the world in which I am living at pre-sent. It was just like a dream world for me atthat time. Things have changed and newones have arrived. Now deforestation hasbecome an abandoned practice and build-ers have shifted to waste lands. Humanshave landed on Mars. Scientists have madeit possible to neutralize greenhouse effects.Robots have taken over human labour. Allcountries ruled then by communists andmonarchs have become democracies. Lifehas become just like in the heaven and livingconditions are exceptionally good. In short, things have turned opposite of what wewere anticipating in 2010’s.

After completing grade 10in India, I immigrated to Canada and joinedJohn Fraser High School for my further educa-tion. Here, I passed my high school with flyingcolors by scoring 97% in grade 12 academicstream. Soon after I received a call letterfrom the University of Toronto to pursue theundergraduate course in biological sciences. The summer before I entered the University Iwent to a summer school to do a Frenchcourse. It now plays a facilitating role whilecommunicating with my patients speakingFrench.

I did my four year graduation from the Uni-versity of Toronto in Life Sciences and Hu-manities and got 3.97 on a 4.0 grade scale.Subsequently, I took the MCAT and scored9/10/10 and became eligible for the under-graduate program in the Faculty of Medi-cine, University of Toronto. After undergoinga tough selection process, I was offered anMD seat at the Mississauga campus. I re-ceived a good scholarship. The time I spentat the medical school was just awesome. Inthe mean time, I used to work at McDon-ald's as a part time worker to supplementmy living expenses. The course I did was aPhD combined with MD and this fetches at-tention of many hospitals towards me. An-other aspect worthy to mention is that thecourse even included one year of intern-ship which helped me a lot in gaining prac-tical clinical experience .

I want to do further research in the area ofOculoplastics to improve upon the existingmodel of artificial eye. But before that Iwant to gain rich experience by working inthis field. But this is not the ultimate aim in mylife. I have many more plans which I want toaccomplish. After earning handsomeamount of money, I will shift to any underde-veloped country, like those in Africa or Asia, and help the people out there in medicalissues, especially I will help blind people tosee the beautiful world. So, that’s my careergoal, my livelihood and my passion.

My FamilyI have been studying for last thirty years, so Ididn’t get any time to think about raising myown family nor I am thinking about this as Ihave many people whose responsibility is onme, I have to help them first of all. But still afamily is a necessity to keep up with the kindof stressful job which is being done by meand being a doctor I can’t neglect this fact. Thus, I have a pet which makes up my fami-ly. He is a brown German Shepherd- “Leo”.

My Family contd...

We both have an outing every weekendand enjoy that a lot. Usually, after havingbreakfast, we pack up our lunches and walkinto a nearby forest trail. There we get offthe trail and move into the dense forestwhere after having the lunch we movearound and sometimes, if we have a goodfortune, get a sight of a Fox or even of aSnake. Then after a long and tiring walk, wereturn home and fall down in our beds. Ihave had many pleasant time with Leo andwe together make my sweet family .

Where do I live?I live in a residential community near Down-town, Toronto which has been developedon a wasteland. Though the place was awasteland, it has been in the list of the bestresidential community in Toronto since itsconstruction. It is a 100% green project. Ihave bought a Townhouse with 2-bedrooms, 2-bathrooms, a Kitchen and aLiving room. I have good neighbours andthey are always ready to take initiatives. There is no sign of pollution or traffic jam inthis locality. Additionally, there is a smallpatch of forest with a trail across it. It’s the

best place to live in theheart of Toronto.

Community InvolvementBeing a doctor, I am involved in my commu-nity in each and every aspect of my life. Fur-ther, my life is completely dedicated to thecommunity around me but apart from myprofessional life, I am very much involved inmy community. During any long term vaca-tion, I contribute my precious time by volun-teering in an old age home. Even in someweekdays I take time off from my job andvolunteer in a school by making kids awareof some new ways to keep themselvesaway from disease and be healthy. Anotherway by which I keep myself involved in thecommunity is by organizing small BBQ par-ties by calling my neighbours and somefriends. So basically, you can call me an ac-tive man in my community and is filled withdesires to help the community whenever it’sin need of me.

12

My HobbiesI have a lot of hobbies and some of themare rare to find in a doctor. First of all, I amsimply mad for tennis and this has evenmade me a good tennis player. I love ency-clopaedias since I was in grade 4 andwhenever I am free, I am hooked to it.Sometimes, I take up a pen and a sheet ofpaper and start writing any story or poemwhich would strike my mind. These are someof the hobbies which I usually do but thereare many others occasionally pursued.

With this I end the story about my life in 2030and hope you would like it very much.
