Situated in the south-western part of Tibet bordering the Kumaon hills and Nepal, is Mount Kailash. It is supremely sacred mountain, cosmologicaly related with Mount Meru,
the great mythological mountain that forms the axis of this world system. Being a central watershed of Asia, it
has always been the most sacred of mountains for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bons.
DAY 01 - Arrival KathmanduArrive at Kathmandu International Airport. Aradhya Tour Officer will greet and transfer you to
the HOTEL. Tour briefing and orientation programme, dinner and overnight at hotel (twin sharing).
DAY 02 - Half Day Visit To Temples And Briefing About The YatraAfter breakfast yatris will be taken on a half day visit to Pashupatinath Temple,
Guheshwari Mata temple, Jal Narayan Temple (Sleeping Vishnu). Evening at leisure in Kathmandu.
DAY 03 - Drive From Kathmandu To The Border Town Of KodariAnd Then To Nyalam
After breakfast, we will drive to the frontier town of Nepal at border town of Kodarienjoying a scenic drive through Dhulikhel. From here, there would be a short walk to the friendship bridge for further drive to Zhangmu, the main entrance of Tibet, China at the height of 2,300 m. which is about 145 kms from Kathmandu. In Zhangmu, you will be received by guide from our Tibetan counterpart. After all the immigartion formalities at the check post here, our journey continues for another 35 kms which can take almost 3 hours through the up-winding road to Nyalam with beautiful scenery as the drive brings us for the overnight stay at Nyalam (3,700 m.). Overnight at Hotel Nyalam or similar.
DAY 04 - Nyalam – Day Free For Acclimatization.Free day for acclimatization. Taking a short hike up the nearby hill in the morning will help you to get acclimatized to high altitude.
DAY 05 - Drive To New DrongbaAfter breakfast, drive to New Drongba. After breakfast, drive through the windswept territory passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with the distance view of snow capped mountains. We will be passing through the first highest pass of Lalung La Pass (5000 m) where a superb view of high Himalayas can be seen. Drive past Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and PeigutsoLake (4400m). We continue driving crossing the river Bhramaputra, to reach New Drongba. (4600 m) 240 Kms./ 4 -5 hours drive. Lunch will be served on the way. Night halt at New Drongba. 500 km (6 hrs drive)
DAY 06 - Drive To Manasarovar (Chiu)This is the most eagerly awaited day of the Holy Yatra, We reach Holy Lake Manasarovar and catch the first glimpse of Mount Kailash if weather permits. On the way, we will be crossing through the highest motor-able pass of this journey (Mayum-La; 5200 m.). Lunch will be served somewhere near HorchuRiver, before Mayum-La pass. Here we will have to leave our bus/jeep and travel by bus provided by the Tibetan authorities. We drive along the banks of Lake Manasarovar till Chiu Gompha enroute visiting Rakshas Lake. Pooja/Havan can be done after a dip in the holy lake. One may indulge into relaxation, meditation, devotion or hawan etc.
DAY 07 - Manasarovar – DarchenAfter breakfast, we will drive towards Darchen. Darchen is located beneath the majestic holy Mount Kailash, a small village with couple of guesthouses. During the auspicious pilgrimage time, this place will be flooded with Pilgrims with hundreds of tents all around. Darchen, the beginning and end point of the Kora. We may proceed for trek to Serrlung Monastry to visit Asthapathwhich offers an excellent view of Nandi Parvat and Mount Kailash, subject to permission by Public Security Bureau at Darchen. Overnight at guest house.Total circumference of Lake Manasarovar: 88 km Manasarovar -Darchen : 1 hour
DAY 08 - Darchen – Tarboche – Dirapuk
Morning after breakfast, drive to Yama Dwar (15 minutes drive). From Yama Dwar, we would begin our first day of trekking to Dirapuk (north face of Mount Kailash). The first day of our Kora is a gradual walk with multitudes of other local pilgrims chanting and praying. The trail leads us to few ups and downs till we reach our camp/guest house at Dirapuk (4860 m) 7 km/ 5 - 6 hours trek. Those not feeling themselves fit to continue parikarma will drive back to Darchen and wait for the Parikarma group to return. Overnight at Camp / Guest House.Yama Dwar – Dirapuk (10km): 5 - 6 hour trek.
DAY 09 - Dirapuk – Zuthulpuk
Today our circumbulation (Kora) leads to much higher side of the holy path just beneath the Holy Mount Kailash. The walk will bring us to one of the highest point at Drolma La, 5,200 m. (4-5 hrs.) before descending to the gradual field towards Zuthulphuk for the overnight stay after 4-5 hours walk. Zuthulphuk (4760 m) 18 km/ 9 - 10 hrs. The trekking right from the beginning will be uphill till Drolma La pass (5620 m.) the highest point of the trek. On the other side of Drolma La pass, we witness a spectacular view of Gaurikund, the pond of compassion and birth place of Lord Ganesha. The last leg of the journey is along the river bank till Zutulphuk. (8 -9 hours trek)
DAY 10 - Kailash Kora End Drive To New Drongba
After breakfast trek downhill to the pick-up point near Darchen. This easy and flat trekking trail could be covered in 3 to 4 hours. The winding gradual tracks finally ends our holy pilgrimage walk 10 kms. Once we reach at the trek end point near Darchen, our Coaches / land cruisers will be waiting to take the group to New Drongba. Overnight at a guest house in New Drongba.Zutulpuk - Pick-up Point - 8 km (3 to 4 hrs trek)Ending point to Lake Manasarovar: 25 km (45 minutes drive)Lake Manasarovar to New Drongba: 550 km (6 hrs drive)
DAY 11 - Drive To Nyalam
After breakfast drive to Nyalam.
DAY 12 - Drive To Kathmandu
After breakfast drive to Zhangmu. After reaching Friendship Bridge, we'll be leaving our Tibet side vehicles on the other side of border and after completing custom and immigration formalities, we shall walk for approximately 15 minutes towards Kodari Border - Nepal Immigration Post where our coach for Nepal would be waiting for us. Our Border guide will assist us to shift our belongings towards Nepal Side of the bridge. Lunch shall be served at a local en-route restaurant.
DAY 13 - Transfer To The Airport For Departure - Home Sweet Home
In time transfer to International Airport to board your onward flight else you may extend your stay in Nepal to visit Muktinath Temple or Manokamna Temple or just relaxing. The twin destinations – Mount Kailash and the calm waters of The Lake Manasarovar, considered the most sacred and revered pilgrimage for Hindus, Jainsand Buddhists – lie in the southwestern part of Tibet. According to legend, you have to be called by the divine to perform The Holy Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.

Muktinath literally means "Lord of Salvation". It is a site revered by both the Hindus and the Buddhists equally. Each year it witnesses thousands of devotees flocking for worship in a hope to receive moksha (salvation) from the cycle of birth and rebirth. The temple of Muktinath is situated at the base of KhatangKang(Thorang Peak) in Baraha Gaun (lit. Twelve village) in the district of Mustang in the north central part of Nepal,and it is about 110 Km from Pokhara and 20 kmsnortheast of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3800 meters from the sea level. It is a gate way to Mustang from Manang in famous Annapurana circuit Trek route. The holy shrine at Muktinath is in a grove of trees and includes a Buddhist Gompa and the pagoda style temple of Vishnu Temple, Containing an Image of Vishnu.
Itinerary :
DAY 01 - Arrival At KathmanduPick up from Airport, transfer to HOTEL, Evening Visit to Pashupati Nath Temple after arati and Puja
back to HOTEL, overnight.
DAY 02 - KathmanduAfter breakfast Kathmandu city Sight Seeing place to visit Pashupatinath, Bouddha Nath,
Budhanilkantha, Balaju water, Swayambhu Nath stupa (Monkey's temple), Patan durbar squar and Krishna temple and back to hotel, Evening leisure, overnight.
DAY 03 - Kathmandu - PokharaAfter Breakfast, Drive / fly to Pokhara, Arrival in Pokhara transfer to HOTEL, Evening leisure, overnight.
DAY 04 - Pokhara - Jomsom - Muktinath- JomsomAt Morning fly to Jomsom, drive to Muktinath by Jeep (1.30 hrs ) along the Kaligandaki Valley. After holy
bath in Kunda,108 Dhara and have darshan /worship to Muktinath drive back to Jomsom by jeep (130 hrs.), Evening leisure, Overnight.
DAY 05 - Jomsom - PokharaAt Morning fly back to Pokhara, Pick up from Airport transfer to HOTEL After Breakfast Pokhara city
Sight Seeing place to visit - Bindhabasini Temple, Seti River gorge, Gorkha Museum, Devi's waterfall, Mahadev Cave and visit the Barahi Temple by boat ride in Fewa Lake, Evening leisure, overnight.
DAY 06 - Pokhara - KathmanduDrive/Fly back to Kathmandu, Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to HOTEL, overnight.
DAY 07 - Final DepartureAfter breakfast, transfer to Airport and fly to yours onward Destination
