Jesus, joy of man’s desiring,Holy wisdom,

love most bright;Drawn by Thee,

our souls aspiringSoar to uncreated light.

Word of God, our flesh that fashioned,

With the fire of life impassioned,

Striving still to truth unknown,Soaring, dying round Thy

throne.

Page 12: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Our FatherWhich art in Heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.Thy Kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earthas it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we

forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, for Thine is the Kingdom and the

power, and the glory forever.Amen.

Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a

decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of

Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of

David, which is called Bethlehem;

(because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife,

being great with child.

Page 14: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

6 And so it was, that, while they were there,

the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and

wrapped him in swaddling clothes,

and laid him in a manger; because there was no room

for them in the inn.

Page 15: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Away in a manger,No crib for His bed,The little Lord Jesus

Laid down His sweet head; The stars in the heavens

Looked down where He lay,The little Lord Jesus

Asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing,The poor Baby wakes,But little Lord Jesus,No crying He makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus;Look down from the skyAnd stay by my cradleTill morning is nigh.

Ó cask egy jászolban talált pihenést,

Hajtota le Jézus Drága kis fejét;

Csillagok a mennyből Lenéztek Őrá,

A mint a szent gyermek aludt a szénán.

Page 16: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Ki ez a gyermek, aki édesdeden

alszik Mária ölében?Akit az angyalok himnusszal

köszöntenek míg a pásztorok elé járulnak?

Ő Krisztus a király,akire pásztorok vigyáznak és

angyalok köszöntenekSiess, siess, imádni őt

A gyermeket Mária fiát

A gyermek Mária fia

Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Angels We Have Heard On High

Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o’er the plains,

And the mountains in reply Echo back their joyous strains.

Gloria in excelsis Deo, Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing;

Come, adore on bended kneeChrist the Lord,

the newborn King!Gloria in excelsis Deo, Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Page 19: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

The angels came down from Heaven shepherds, shepherds,

so that you would go to Bethlehem quickly, quickly.

The Son of God Who was born in

a manger, a manger,He will be your Savior

truly, truly.

Page 20: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

His mother watches over him, Mary, Mary;

As He lies in the hay, resting in the manger, her holy Son, holy Son.

They go to greet Him straightaway, straightaway.

Within their hearts they bring beautiful gifts,

To give away, give away.

Let us all worship the child Jesus together,

worship Him, worship Him.The great Lord God

for His great, good deed we all bless Him, all bless Him!

Page 21: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Holy Christmas NightSzent karácsony éjjel

Oh, wond’rous night full of mystery

A child with eyes blue as the sky,

He is as small as a roseleaf, The sweet Lord is

born as a baby, He is sleeping in the manger

On the holy night of Christmas.

Page 23: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Hark! The herald angels sing,“Glory to the newborn King:

Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinner reconciled”Joyful, all ye nations, rise,

Join the triumph of the skies; With the angelic host proclaim, Christ is born in Bethlehem!”

Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Christ, by highest heaven adored; Christ, the Everlasting Lord!

Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the Virgin’s womb; Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;

Hail the Incarnate Deity,Pleased as man with men to dwell,

Jesus, our Emmanuel.Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Page 24: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace!

Hail the Sun of Righteousness! Light and life to all he brings, Risen with healing in his wings.

Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die,Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth.Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Page 25: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were

gone away from them into heaven,

the shepherds said one to another,Let us now go

even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing

which is come to pass, which the Lord

hath made known unto us.

Page 26: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

I wish I could have seen

the star of Bethlehemand present gold, frankincense and

myrrh before my Lord.

Don't you wish you could have been there, among

the host of wise men?Oh, have you ever asked,

“My Jesus, come and dwell in my heart today!”

I wish I could have gone to the manger

to share the joy of my heart with the Messiah.

Page 27: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

I wish I could have given him kisses of welcome

and greet the mighty Savior with gratefulness.

Such sacred sacrifices are like precious stones,

They can shine just like the star Bethlehem.

Oh, have you ever asked, “My Jesus, come and dwell

in my heart today!”

Page 28: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

16 And they came with haste,

and found Mary, and Joseph,

and the babe lying in a manger.

17 And when they had seen it,

they made known abroad

the saying which was told them

concerning this child.

Page 29: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

O shepherd, what do I see? Listen, the angels of God

are singing in the sky.

One of them shines brightly, he stands among the rest of them like a sun in the sky.

The angel choir proclaims joy and goodness, that God was born today as a child.

Page 30: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

In a little manger in a stall, among the animals, you will see Him in a

manger in swaddling clothes.

Come, shepherd, come, leave your guarding place, and see the

sleeping holy child.

They reverence and worship Christ. This is how we saw the

Savior together.

Well, shepherd, you saw the great and holy miracle, Go, let everyone

hear and pass on the news.

Page 31: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

While angels, winging, His praise are singing, Heaven’s echoes ringing,

peace on earth bringing,Good will to men.

Page 32: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

18 And all they that heard it wondered at those

things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things, and

pondered them in her heart.

Page 33: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,

With glowing heartsby His cradle we stand.

O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,

Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.

The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born

to be our friends. He knows our need,

our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King!

Before him lowly bend! Behold your King!

Before him lowly bend!

Page 37: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

that they had heard and seen,

as it was told unto them.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he

gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to

condemn the world; but that the world through

him might be saved

Page 39: Karácsonyi Zenés Est , An Evening of Christmas Music

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.15 …whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
