KaranganyarRegencyislocatedinthesoutheastofCentralJava,Indonesia.ItisnearMagetanRegency(inEastJavaProvince),SragenRegencyinthenorth,WonogiriRegencyandSukoharjoRegencyinthesouth,andSurakarta(Solo)andBoyolaliRegencyinthewest.

Thenumberofstudentsofprimaryschoolswere81,057studentswith4,483teachers,whichmadethestudentteacherratio1:18.08.Thenumbersofjuniorhighschoolswere37,558studentswith2,818teachers,withastudentteacherratioof1:13.33.Therewere20,507highschoolstudents,with1,639teachers,whichmadethestudentteacherratio1:12.51.
