Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 30,000/-
Overdraft facility of Rs. 5000/- after six months.

Overall 20 crore accounts opened
US 4.5 billion $ deposited under this sceheme.

Sukanya Samridhi Account
(Launched on 21st Jan 2015)
The scheme was launched to meet the expense of girl child’s higher
education and marriage.
SALIENT FEATURES:
1. Highest interest rate of9.2%
2. Exempted from Tax u/s 80c
3. The maturity of account is 21 years from date of opening account
or marriage of girl child whichever is earlier.
4. Initial deposit of Rs.1000 and thereafter any amount in multiple of
Rs.100 can be deposited to maximum of 1.5lakhs.

MUDRA BANK YOJANA (Micro Unit Development and Refinance Agency
Bank)
Launched on 8th April 2015 by Narendra Modi
Objective & Salient Features:
To encourage entrepreneurs and small business units to expand their capabilities and to reduce over indebtedness.
Shishu-the starters-covers loan up to Rs.50,000
Kishor-the mid stage finance seekers-covers loan above Rs.50,000 and up to Rs.5,00,000.
Tarun-growth seekers- covers loan above Rs.5,00,000 and up to Rs. 10,00,000
As of 26th of Sep 2015, Banks had already disbursed ₹240 billion (US$3.6 billion) to 27 lakh small entrepreneurs under this scheme Career Launcher

Pradhan Mantri Jeeva Jyoti Beema
Yojana (Launched on 9th May 2015)
As of May 2015, only 20% of India's population had any kind of insurance, this scheme aims to increase the insurance coverage.
Salient Features:
Available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ₹330 excluding service tax,which is above 14% of the premium.
The amount will be automatically debited from the account. In case of death due to any cause, the payment to the nominee will be ₹2 lakh.
This scheme will be linked to the bank accounts opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana scheme. The government aims to reduce the number of such zero balance accounts by using this and related schemes. Career Launcher

YOJANA (Started on 9th May 2015)
As of May 2015, only 20% of India's population had any kind of insurance, this scheme aims to increase the insurance coverage.
Salient Features:
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ₹12 excluding service tax, which is about 14% of the premium. The amount will be automatically debited from the account.
In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be ₹2 lakh (US$3,000) and in case of partial disability ₹1 lakh (US$1,500). Full disability has been defined as loss of use in both eyes, hands or feet. Partial disability has been defined as loss of use in one eye, hand or foot.

ATAL PENSION SCHEME (Launched
on 9th May 2015)
It is a government-backed pension scheme in India targeted at the unorganized sector. As of May 2015, only 11% of India's population has any kind of pension scheme, this scheme aims to increase the number.
Salient Features:
In Atal Pension Yojana, for every contribution made to the pension fund, The Central Government would also co-contribute 50% of the total contribution or ₹1,000 (US$15) per annum, whichever is lower, to each eligible subscriber account, for a period of 5 years.
The minimum age of joining APY is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. The age of exit and start of pension would be 60 years.
Therefore, minimum period of contribution by the subscriber under APY would be 20 years or more. Career Launcher

Make in India (Launched on 25th
September, 2014)Make in India is an initiative of the Government of India to encourage multinational, as well as domestic, companies to manufacture their products in India.
The objective of the initiative is:
To promote India a manufacturing hub.
Economic transformation in India
To eliminate unnecessary law and regulation.
25 sectors have been included in Make in India scheme. Some of sectors are automobiles, chemicals, IT, pharmaceuticals, textiles, leather, tourism and hospitality, design manufacturing, renewable energy, mining and electronics.
A Notable point is now allowing 49% FDI in Defence and 100% in Railway Infrastructure.

Swaach Bharat (Launched on 2nd
October 2014)
The scheme intends to achieve the vision of Clean India by 2nd October 2019 (150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi).
Specific objectives:
Eliminate open defecation by constructing toilets for households, communities
Eradicate manual scavenging
Introduce modern and scientific municipal solid waste management practices
Enable private sector participation in the sanitation sector
Change people’s attitudes to sanitation and create awareness

Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP): Re-
launched on 18th Nov 2014
Saving Scheme by Post Office which was started in 1988,
discontinued in 2011, but re-launched in 2014.
Unlike earlier times, the amount here will be doubled in 100 months
(Earlier, it was 66 months)-Interest rate of 8.8%
Not making much sense, as many Public Sector Banks offer more
than 9% interest for 1 year fixed deposit.

2015)Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India with an aim to train over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022.
The govt has decided to revamp the antiquated industrial training centres that will skill over 20 lakh youth annually and creating 500million jobs by 2020.
PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKAS YOJANA
A unique initiative by the Government of India that aims to offer 24 lakh Indian youth meaningful, industry relevant, skill based training. Under this scheme, the trainees will be offered a financial reward and a government certification on successful completion of training and assessment, which will help them in securing a job for a better future.
DEENDAYAL UPADHYAY GRAMEEN KAUSHAL YOJANA:
It was launched on 25 September 2014 by Union Minsters Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu on the occasion of 98th birth anniversary of Pandit DeendayalUpadhyay. It aims to target youth, under the age group of 18–35 years.

HRIDAY (National Heritage City Development and
Augmentation Yojana)Launched on 21st Jan 2015
The Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, launched
the (HRIDAY) scheme on 21st January, 2015, with a focus on holistic
development of heritage cities.
With a duration of 27 months (completing in March 2017) and a total

UDAAN PROJECT
The Special Industry Initiative J&K ‘Udaan’ Scheme is to provide skills
and enhance employability of 40,000 youth over a period of five years
in key high growth sectors.
The scheme is being implemented by the National Skill Development
Council (NSDC) and the corporate sector in PPP mode.
Udaan also aims to provide a platform that empowers girl students and
provides them with better learning opportunities.
Human resource development (HRD) ministry programme is designed
to provide a comprehensive platform to deserving girl students aspiring
to pursue higher education in engineering and assist them to prepare
for the IIT-JEE while studying in Classes 11 and 12.

Sansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana
(Launched on 11th October 2014)
It is a rural development programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community.
Each member of parliament needs to choose one village each from the constituency that they represent, fix parameters and make it a model village by 2016.
Thereafter, they can take on two or three more villages and do the same by the time the next general elections come along in 2019, and thereafter, set themselves ten-year-long village or rural improvement projects.
Villages will be offered smart schools, universal access to basic health facilities and Pucca housing to homeless villagers.
