The AD100Pro Key and Remote tester offers Auto Locksmiths and Diagnostic Specialists anopportunity to enter a new and lucrative market normally only available tomanufacturers dealers.

Since approximately 1996 vehicle manufacturers have increased thesecurity of their vehicles by the introduction of transponder vehicle keys.This involves the inclusion of a small transponder chip placed inside theignition keys. When the keys are presented to the ignition switch thetransponder communicates with an aerial around the ignition switch andidentifies it as the correct key for the vehicle. If the correct key ispresented the vehicle immobiliser system communicates with the vehicleECU (electronic control unit) and allows the vehicle engine to be started.

The inclusion of transponders into vehicle keys means that whenever anew key is required the new keys require programming into the vehicleECU memory. Most vehicles require any additional key to be programmedusing a diagnostic tester. Some vehicles have a master key or keys thatare required to enable programming to take place; when these masterkeys are lost or not passed on to the new owner the vehicle requiresconnecting to a diagnostic tester held only by the vehicle manufacturers

dealer, until the launch of the AD100Pro.

Since 1996, unless you have an AD100Pro programmer, you have beenunable to carry out this task, resulting in the vehicle having to be returnedto the manufacturer's agent for programming; this often involves recovery of the vehicle to the garageand a long and expensive cure.

The latest types of keys cannot now be copied, which means even the simple task of supplying anextra key is now impossible for anyone without the ability to program the key into the vehicle securitysystem with a diagnostic tester.

The AD100Pro key programming tester enables Locksmiths and Diagnostic specialists to once againcarry out this work. The hand held tester allows you to program new keys and remote plips into thevehicle, while the customer waits, even by the side of the road.

The following accessories are available for your AD100Pro Key programmer.

These dongles are required for the latest vehicleapplications. These dongles are already included in newkits from 1/3/2010.

A special dongle to programslave keys on Daihatsuvehicles.

Coded access systems

consist of obtaining achallenge code from thevehicle which needs to beconverted into a responsecode that the vehicle willrecognise, therefore allowingaccess to the programmingfunction to be performed.

Currently, the response codeis generated via the Advanced Diagnostics website, which obviously requires aninternet connection.

The Security Calculator allows response codes to begenerated without the need for an internet connection(although there are a couple of systems that will still require

the response code to be generated by the AD website).

Ensures the vehicle's OBD socket isfunctioning correctly. Confirms 12V poweravailable in socket and checks for wiringerrors on pin 7 comms terminal.

What is Pre-Coding?Many modern vehicles have a special transponder that is specific to the individual car. Vehicle manufacturers have started to create

these transponders to increase security and to stop the aftermarket from being able to supply and program keys. The disadvantageto the customer is that the key needs to be specially ordered from the manufacturer, using the chassis number.

With the latest Advanced Diagnostic software it is possible to produce a Precoded transponder for a specific vehicle by reading thevehicle software. To achieve this, you will need an AD90Pro with specific software and either an AD100Pro or MVPPro with thecorrect software.

Read the transponder information from the car with an AD100Pro or MVPPro Write the transponder special precode information onto atransponder using AD900Pro (this may take several attemptsdepending on the amount of information (bytes) we are ableto read from the vehicle. Check the transponder will be accepted by the car

Students will be taught the known procedures, systems and rules of opening various locks and instructed onthe touch and feel required to best defeat the locks; once picked they can be decoded.
