Different ways to use the software…
· Whole groups lessons in front of the room with a Promethean Board or data projector
· Center time on class student computers
· Whole class activity in the computer lab
Find the Kidspiration icon and double click to open
This is what you should see if you have ActivInspire on
your machine…
You can create a new activity or choose a subject template already
made!
Turning off the sound· Go to teacher· Enable Teacher Menu· Application Options· Uncheck talking interface
(You can still click on the ear at the top of the main page to hear certain sounds and directions if needed)

Find an activity already made…

Math View· Manipulatives· Workbook Pages
Find a template to change
· Add or remove pictures· Add words or labels to pictures· Add voice
How to add voice to pictures or words…
· Click on a picture· Choose Sound · Record
1. Record2. Stop3. Play4. Save (or cancel)
It saves to the object chosen
How to save as a template
· Go to Teacher
· Enable Teacher Menu
· Do NOT set a password
•Save with Activity Wizard
Saving as a template cont…
• When you get to this box:• Make sure theactivity description isaccurate.
• Save to another location (i.e. your flash drive)
• You will see .kia which means it saved as a
Kidspiration activity
Students saving their work…
· Have the student choose name
• This names the file for the student so when they save it to the student H: drive, it is already named with the student’s name.
