Vernon R. Klock Member of Little Falls Maennerchor
LITTLE FALLS—Vernon R. Klock, 60, of 5 High St., Little Falls, passed away 30, 2002, at his residence after a long battle with cancer.
He was born March 22, 1942, in Herkimer, the son of the late Kenneth and Rose M. (Michols) Klock. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School Class of 1959.
Vernon Klock Services Held
Military rites for Deputy Sheriff Vernon I. Klock, 21 of Kirkville, who died in an automobile accident Tuesday morning were held yesterday.
Members of the 249 th Armored Medical Detachment of which Mr. Klock was a sergeant, officiated at the services in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Sheriff Albert E. Stone and 58 Deputies attended the funeral services in Ninoa Methodist Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. David Bunville officiated, assisted by the Rev. Herbert D. Lommis of James Street Methodist Church.
Bearers were Sgt. Henry Coughlin, Deputies John Hennessy, Frank Rice, Theodore Ziegler. Raymond Ellis and Harry Ginsberg.
Additional Information: Vernon was the son of Vernon G. Klock (Newton W., William Jr., William, Jacob Clock, Jacob Conrad, Conrad Clock and Hendrick Klock) and Alice Louise Klock. (Hiram H., William Jr., William, Jacob Clock, Jacob Conrad, Conrad Clock and Hendrick Klock).
He was united in marriage to the former Janet M. Benson on July 30, 1966 at the United Methodist faith. He was a member of the Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club, past member of the Little Falls Moose Lodge 615, LOOM, and the Little Falls German Maennerchor. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Vern was employed for 28 years by the City of Little Falls as a senior maintenance man for the Valley View Courts Housing Development, retiring in 2000.
Vern is survived by his wife, Janet M.; a son, Vernon R. Klock Jr. and his wife Earlene, Herkimer; three daughters, Jean Marie Fowler and her husband, Adam, Ilion, Michele Maiorano and her husband, Michael, Herkimer and Robin Klimacek and her husband John, Little Falls; two brothers, Howard Klock and his wife Catherine, Herkimer and Kenneth Klock and his wife Joyce, Maine; two sisters June McPherson and her husband Robert, Mohawk and Rose Rockwell and her husband Ronald, Herkimer; the devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren, Marisa and Cory Fowler, Joshua Klock, Evan Maiorano, John and Evan Maiorano, John and Nicholas Klimacek and Paige and Jacob Klock; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, James and William Klock and a siser Sharon Herringshaw. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. from the Chapman Moser Funeral Home Inc., 42
N. Ann St., Little Falls, with Rev. Wrightson Tongue, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Herkimer, officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls, in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 2, from 5‐8 p.m. and to attend the funeral services Friday morning.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Vern be considered to the American Cancer Society, Oneida and Herkimer Counties, 420 Court St., Suite 205, Utica 13502. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for this purpose.

Obituary of Willard Klock
Brier Hill‐‐Willard Klock, 80, a former resident of this village, passed away at his home in Ogdensburg last Friday evening, after a short illness. The funeral was held from the late home, Sunday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. Dr. Wm. C. MacIntyre of Ogdensburg. Interment was made in the Ingham cemetery near this village.
Mr. Klock was born at Oak Point, Nov. 13, 1857. He conducted a music store here for many years, being located in the residence formerly owned by the William Brown.
Mr. Klock moved to Ogdensburg a number of years ago, where he also conducted a music store for
many years, on State Street. Several from here attended the funeral rites Sunday.

in Brier Hill Cemetery. Ogdensburg, Nov. 13. ‐‐‐ Willard Klock, 80, died at his home, 808 Washington street, Friday night at
6:20 after a brief illness. Death was caused by a kidney ailment. He was born on Nov. 12, 1857, near Oak Point. He conducted a music store in Brier Hill for several
years and later moved to this city where he operated a piano and music store in State street for many years. For the past few years he had conducted his business from his home.
Surviving besides his wife, Sarah E. Klock, are two sons, Fred Klock of Towanda, Pa., and Dean Klock of Potsdam, and a granddaughter, Miss Norma Klock of this city.
Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. William C. MacIntyre, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Iingham cemetery at Brier Hill.

Lafargeville ‐‐ Willard C. Klock, 71, well known farmer of this village, died Thursday at the state hospital in Ogdensburg where he had been a patient for ten days. A heart attack caused his death.
Mr. Klock had been in poor health for several years but had been able to be about the farm. He was born in the town of Orleans in 1863, a son of Levi and Peggy Ann Zellar Klock, and had always
resided in this section. He married Miss Dell Myers who with one daughter, Mrs. Fern Richardson, both of Lafargeville, survive.
Mr. Klock also is survived by one brother, Jordan Klock, and two grandchildren, all of Lafargeville.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the home, Rev. Bernard DeGraw, pastor of the Methodist Protestant church, officiating. Burial will be in Grove cemetery here.

William Klock, born at Chase's Lake, May 30, 1857, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Klock, died Sunday at his home in Carthage, where he had resided for 22 years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Agnes Klock; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Rathburn, of Watertown; one step‐daughter, Mrs. Arthur O'Shaughnessy, Carthage; two sons, Joseph and Charles, Carthage, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held yesterday.

Obit ofWilliam A. Klock
Herkimer‐‐William A. Klock, 64 who for 44 years taught in rural schools in this section of Herkimer County, died yesterday afternoon July 3, 1936, at his home in Shell’s Bush, following a brief illness from complications.
He was born near Little Falls June 9, 1872, only son of the late Charles P. and Manda L. Bucklin Klock. When a small boy he moved with his parents to the present homestead on Shell’s Bush Road.
Mr. Klock was well known in the Mohawk Valley. At the age of 16 he started his life long career as a rural school teacher and taught in many of the district schools. When he reached the age of 60 he was pensioned. At that time he was in Shell’s Bush School, where he had served 11 years.
Mr. Klock was a member of Shell’s Bush Grange 568, and of the First Universalist Church in Herkimer.
Sept. 4, 1895, he married Miss Maude Eysaman, Shell’s Bush. Besides his widow, he leaves a daughter, Mildred Flint, a grandson and an elderly aunt, Mrs. D. D. Small.
The funeral will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock (DST) from his late home with Internment at Oak Hill in Herkimer.

William Roy Klock Sr. Enjoyed CB radio and making Adirondack pack baskets
HERKIMER—William Roy Klock Sr. “Windy,” 62 of Shells Bush Road, died Thursday afternoon, April 29, 1999, in Little Falls Hospital with his family at his bedside, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
A livelong Herkimer resident, he was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Herkimer, son of the late Kenneth S. Sr. and Rosella Mae (Rose) Mickle Klock. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School class of 1954. On Sept.1, 1956, he married Elizabeth Walters in Herkimer, a loving union of 25 years until her passing Jan. 19, 1982. For more than 22 years, he was a machinist for Herkimer Tool and Machinery, retiring in 1975. Anyone who knew Bill could appreciate his positive attitude and good humor, dealing with the challenges life gave him. He was of the Methodish faith. He served with and was honorable discharged from the National Guard.
An avid outdoors man, he was a member of the East Herkimer Fish and Game Club and the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club. He was a “CB‐er” and went by the handle Windy.
He also belonged to the Herkimer Polish Club and Little Falls Moose Lodge 615. His hobby was making Adirondack pack baskets, and he was quite accomplished at doing them. Bill’s family always came first. He loved his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Surviving him are four sons, William Roy Jr. and his wife Bonnie Klock of Little Falls, James Robert and his wife Lisa Klock, Thimothy John and his wife Linda Klock, and Larry Michael Klock, a daughter Donna Jean and her husband Gregory Hunter, all of Herkimer; three brothers and their wives, Howard and Cathy Klock, Kenneth Jr. and Joyce Klock, all of Herkimer, Vernon and Janet Klock of Little Falls; two sisters and their husbands, Rose and Ronald Rockwell of Herkimer, June and Robert McPherson of Mohawk, five grandchildren, Lorraine, Sonja and Courtney Klock, Colby and Shelby Hunter; and great granddaughter, Marissa Hudson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Klock and a sister, Sharon Herringshaw. Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St. with the Rev.
David Oertel officiating. Internment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gradens, town of Little Falls. Calling hours are Saturday from 2‐4 and 6‐8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the
funeral home. Members of the Little Falls Moose Lodge 615 are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 5:45
p.m. for ritualistic services.

HERNDON ‐‐ Wilson Henry Klock, 74, of RR1 Herndon, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at his home. He was born June 18, 1933, in Herndon, a son of the late Wilson J. and Lucinda (Raker) Klock. His wife,
the former Betty R. Kissinger, passed away Dec. 28, 2004. Mr. Klock served in the Army during the Korean conflict, and he retired from Creative Playthings, Herndon.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, and he also was a member of American Legion Post 504, Herndon; Alvin E. Long Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 504, Dalmatia; and Woodmen of the World of Millersburg.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynette S. Miller and her husband, Charles, of Tower City; a sister, Margaret Heim, of Gratz; two brothers, Chester Klock, of Halifax, and Robert Klock, of Sunbury; three grandchildren; and three great‐grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were a daughter, Brenda L. Stuter; two brothers, Clarence Klock and Alvin Klock; and a sister, Clara Klock. Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 by the Rev. Glen Keidel. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dalmatia Area Ambulance Association, RR1, Box 1659, Herndon, PA 17830.

Miss Bonnie V. Klock, Hailesboro, Killed Instantly in Car Accident. Gouverneur
July 5.‐‐Five persons were injured, one fatally, about 8 last night when a 1935 coupe in which they were riding swerved off the highway and rolled over 3.1 miles northwest of Gouverneur beyond Natural Dam.
Fatally injured was Miss Bonniebelle Venita Klock, 19, Gouverneur, R.D.1. Also injured were Miss Lucinda Irene Klock, 14, and her brother, Franklin Eugene Klock, 17, both of
Gouverneur, R.D. 1; Gordon E. Peck, 23, Gouverneur, R.D. 5, and John L. McNally, 18, 0f 9 John street, Gouverneur.
All the injured were taken by Sprague ambulance to the Edward John Noble hospital. Miss Bonniebelle Klock died at the hospital at 9 of a fractured skull. She had also sustained lacerations of the right hand and abrasions about the face.
Seriously injured were her sister, Lucinda, who suffered a fractured left thigh, fractured left collar bone and concussion.
Franklin Klock sustained abrasions about the head and elbows and contusions. McNally suffered abrasions of the face, head, arms and back, while Peck suffered lacerations of the upper and lower lips, lacerations of the face and back. All but Franklin Klock were hospitalized. He was released shortly after examination and treatment. Gouverneur state police conducted the investigation. Authorities reported that the coupe was owned and operated by Peck. The vehicle swerved off to the right as Peck was endeavoring to negotiate a curve in the road in Bolton's Woods about one and a half miles from Natural Dam. The vehicle swerved from one side of the highway to the other and back again and finally turned over landing upright diagonally and facing the opposite direction from which it was traveling. As the car rolled over, the two girls fell through the canvas roof and landed in the middle of the highway. Franklin Klock stated that he jumped clear of the vehicle as it swerved.
The five people were on their way to Sylvia Lake to attend Fourth‐of‐July festivities. Dr. Robert V. Persson, Newton Falls, St. Lawrence county coroner, ordered release of the body of

(Ordetta) Sharpe, Madrid; Lucinda, 14; Beverly, 12; Zelpha, 10; Martha, 8 and Frances, 6, all of Gouverneur; seven brothers, Basil Klock, Morris Klock, Henry Klock, all of Balmat; George Klock and Donald Klock, both of Star Lake, and Franklin and Frederick Klock, both of Gouverneur.
Miss Klock was born in the town of DeKalb, July 14, 1929, a daughter of George Henry and Edna May Simmons Klock. She attended schools in Parishville and Antwerp.
Miss Vonniebelle Klock's Funeral Service Is Held. Gouverneur, July 8. ‐‐ Funeral services for Miss Vonniebelle Venita Klock, 19, Gouverneur, R.D. 1, who died Monday after having been fatally injured in an automobile accident near Natural Dam, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 from the Sprague funeral home. Rev. Harold A. Thomas, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Bearers were Carlton M. Bressett, Earl Klock, Leslie Richard, Joseph Shatraw, Everett Bowman and Maynard R. Simmons.
Additional Information: Yvonniebell Klock (George Henry, Bates Aaron, Luther, John J. Jr., John J., Johannes J. and Hendrick Klock) was killed in a car accident at the age of 19, just days before her 20 Birthday. She was born July 14, 1929 in DeKalb, St Lawrence, N.Y. and died July 4, 1949 in Gouverneur,
