老生常谈云：百分之十的钓鱼人钓到百分之九十的鱼，这句话是千真万确的，因为成功钓鱼者多半掌握了天时地利人和三大法宝。

Climate, Location, and Skill

气候往往是钓鱼成败的主要因素，很多人不择时机，只等有空时才去下水试两竿，结果常常败兴而归，捧个黄鼠狼回来。适于钓鱼的天气是： 1 。气压高而且稳定， 2 。西南或南风吹縐湖面， 3 。不测风云到来之前夕，4 。气压下降且西风徐来之际。不适于钓鱼的天气是： 1 。东北风猛吹，全湖遍翻白浪， 2 。低气压， 3 。寒潮过境时。

阴天或者是微风吹縐湖面时也常是钓鱼的佳期，因为风吹浪打降低了光线穿透的深度，将鱼群引近水面，而且风浪增加了水中的氧气。随着风向，水中的小鱼和其它食物会被吹到浅水，石滩和水草岸边，使这些地方成为大鱼聚餐胜地。当然风太大，引起所谓白浪（ White Cap ）就过于危险，不宜下船。

笔者最喜欢下竿的地方是沉没在水中的石堆岛，这些石堆周围水深三十几尺，石堆中间水深不过十尺多，正是小鱼苗栖身寄居之地，大鱼常来光顾是肯定的。

Where to go Fishing?

在良辰美景之际找到热门鱼洞之后，能不能满载而归就要看钓鱼人的本领了，人的因素成为关键。他应该知道钓鼓目鲈鱼时必须将鱼饵沉到水底，春天用活鱼苗，夏天用蚂蝗，秋天用蚯蚓为饵，有风时用顺风飘船法，无风时用马达驱船逆水行舟来回巡廻，引鱼上钓。钓大小嘴鲈鱼应该在沙或石底的水域作业，岸边的树最好是松柏之类的常青树。想钓卡拉啤（ Crappie ）最好的饵是小鱼苗，或是一种名叫Mini Jig 的人造饵，其构造是在一个 1/16 – 1/32啢重的铅（钢）球钩子上穿上裙状软朔料尾巴。
