As industry faces broadening environmental regulation and growing pressure to demonstrate responsible business practices, there is an increasing need for services to support organizations in understanding and integrating the principles of sustainability and demonstrating credibility through robust and accurate reporting of performance in relation to climate change impacts and environmental and social performance. The Opportunity: Our Sustainability Services practice in Vancouver is recruiting a motivated and high performing Senior Associate to support the delivery of sustainability assurance and advisory services to public and private sector clients across a range of industries. Responsibilities: Participating in the delivery of various sustainability-related engagements, including greenhouse gas verifications, management system or forestry certifications and assurance over sustainability- related information. Assisting clients in the development of greenhouse gas and sustainability reporting systems. Assisting in the development of thought leadership around climate change topics for both internal and external use. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills. Support client relationships and practice development initiatives. Skills and Qualifications: Degree in a relevant discipline (engineering, chemistry, biology, environmental studies, forestry, sustainability). Industry, consulting or auditing experience in progressive roles associated with sustainability and/or environmental management. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Ability to work in a fast paced professional environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work on multiple or complex projects simultaneously. Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintaining strong client relationships. Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service in the performance of duties.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in quantifying and reporting GHG inventories under provincial regulatory systems.

Experience in developing and managing reporting and communications in accordance with global sustainability reporting frameworks.

Exposure to or audit experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA 8000, ISO 14064.

Knowledge of / experience with sustainable forest management, including forest certification.

Professional designation in a relevant discipline (RPF, RPBio, EP, P.Eng.).
