Introduction about KEEP

• In April 2016, Kumamoto Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan, suffered two major earthquakes of an intensity not seen since the Tohoku earthquake of 2011.

• After seeing the hardships of the foreign residents during the earthquakes, especially those who could not speak Japanese and struggled to get help and information, Kumamoto Earthquake Experience Project (KEEP) was started in May 2016 with the support of Kumamoto University.
