LE RN HMOOB Always had a desire to learn Hmong but haven't had the opportunity to do so? Well, it’s your lucky summer! You’re in for a treat! This summer a basic Hmong class will be offered at no cost if you’re interested in learning how to read, write, and speak Hmong. Who’s teaching? Hi! My name is Khoua Vang, and I am humbled to have this opportunity to serve as your instructor. Together we will have fun learning and growing together . I’m an educator in the Eau Claire School District . In addition to teaching second graders, I’ve taught Hmong to precollege students through the Upward Bound and UWEC Youth Leadership program. I look forward to working with you! Tell Me More… Where will the class be held Fellowship Alliance Church 1814 Bellinger Street, Eau Claire When will the class start and how often will we meet The class will start August 1st and end the 29th. We will meet every Monday and Tuesday evening from 6-7:30 PM. Who can sign up Preferably age 12 and older but will make exceptions for younger students who have the motivation and desire to learn. What will I learn This is a beginner’s course so no experience in Hmong is required. At the end of the course, you will be able to read and write in Hmong. You will be able to use basic sentences to hold a conversation. My hope is that you will be able to utilize the skills you obtained from this course to expand your Hmong vocabulary and strengthen your Hmong communication skills.
