Answers to any queries you have in relation to costs Alternative sources of Funding Insurance Employees should check insurance policies; even some house contents policies may have legal expenses insurance which cover employment matters Employers may have an employment tribunal extension to their employee liability insurance Employers may alternatively wish to arrange cover for employment tribunal claims through an arrangement we have with an insurer providing such cover Trade Organisations and Trade Unions Employers may belong to a trade association which might provide assistance with legal costs Employees belonging to a trade union may have cover for legal costs as part of their trade union membership No Win no Fee and Conditional Fee Agreements We do not do “No Win No Fee Agreements” for employment cases but we may be able to enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement with you A Conditional Fee Agreement is an agreement where we postpone payment of some of our fees until an outcome has been achieved. When an outcome is achieved you will become liable for the fees. Where the outcome is successful we are likely to charge a success fee which is an additional fee on top of our fees which we are allowed to charge to reflect the fact that we have agreed to delay receiving fees for our work and for achieving a successful outcome Fixed Fees We offer fixed fees for a number of services including: An initial interview during our first meeting with a new client - £80 plus VAT Supply of a standard template contract of employment - £300 plus VAT Supply of a standard template compromise agreement - £300 plus Vat We also can provide tribunal representation on a fixed fee basis. If you wish to see our rates for various stages in the process, please phone one of our employment lawyers to discuss further Capped Fees We are happy for you to place a limit on the work we do for you or to ask us to let you know when we have reached a pre determined limit so that you can decide whether to continue once that limit has been reached. There is a risk with this approach that we may not be able to do all of the work that your case requires.
