May  2012    Dear  mission  partners,    Over  the  past  month,  we  have  been  doing  much  ministry  both  in  our  Milton  Keynes  Mission  Centre,  as  well   as   other   field   locations.  God   has   added   to   us  many   spiritual   new  born   and  we   have   been  strengthening  many  young  believers.  As  our  ministry  expands  and  the  Kingdom  of  God  advances,  we  are  also  experiencing  resistance.  God’s  enemy  is  busy  trying  to  disrupt  our  work  and  discourage  us.  Though  this   is  expected,  we  are  reminded  the  importance  of  reliance  upon  the  Lord  in  every  situa-­‐tion.  We  need  to  be  alert  in  prayers.      Ling  and  I  have  been  on  the  mission  field  for  almost  5  years  now.  The  longer  we  are  in  the  field,  the  more  we  realise  how  much  we  need  to  look  upon  the  Lord  for  his  providence  and  power.  Mission  is  expanding  God’s  Kingdom  in  frontier  areas  where  people  still  do  not  yet  know  God  and  are  under  the  bondage  of   the  enemy,  so  we  are   involved   in  spiritual  warfare.  We  have  come  to  understand  how  important  it  is  to  have  a  strong  team  back  home  to  hold  us  up  in  prayers  and  with  financial  support.  Without  such  unconditional  support,  we  won’t  be  able  to  stay  committed  to  long-­‐term  mission  ser-­‐vice.        I  spent  the  last  2  weeks  of  April  to  visit  our  supporters  in  Melbourne  Australia  where  our  missionary  workers  Gordon  and  Maggie’s  home  church  is.   It   is  encouraging  to  see  many  interested  to  find  out  more  about  the  details  of  how  our  missionaries   live  their   lives   in   the  mission  field.  They  ask  about  their   living   conditions,   type  of   transportation   they  use   in   Europe,   the  people   they   encounter  with  every  day,  and  how  their  team  works  together.  I  give  thanks  to  God  that  Gordon  and  Maggie  have  a  strong  group  of  supporters  who  not  only  care  about  their  ministry  effectiveness,  but  also  their  per-­‐sonal  well  being.  As  our  missionaries  become  more  involved  in  the  field,  their  time  will  be  taken  up  by  various  ministry  needs.  Therefore  they  tend  to  face  the  dilemma  of  devoting  time  and  energy  to  the  people  they  serve  in  the  mission  field  and  staying  connected  with  people  who  support  them  back  home.  My  deepest  appreciation  goes  to  those  who  faithfully  and  whole-­‐heartedly  support  our  work-­‐ers  and  our  ministries  through  thick  and  thin.    Praise  the  Lord  for  adding  many  new  members  to  our  COCM  missionary  team.  At  the  same  time,  we  are  challenged  to  mobilise  more  people  to  support  behind  the  scene.  We  need  prayer  warriors  who  will  stand  behind  us  and  pray  to  fill  the  holes  and  stand  in  the  gaps  so  that  all  our  missionaries  are  covered  with  prayers  in  every  aspect.  We  need  people  whom  God  has  empowered  with  the  financial  means  to  support  our  missionaries  in  all  their  needs.      “And  pray  in  the  Spirit  on  all  occasions  with  all  kinds  of  prayers  and  requests.  With  this  in  mind,  be  alert  and  always  keep  on  praying  for  all  the  Lord’s  people.”  (Ephesians  6:18)    Serving  together  in  Christ,                                                                                                                                                Rev.  Henry  Lu                                                                                                                                                                                                      General  Director  

二零一二年五月    親愛的宣教夥伴們，            在過去的幾個月中，我們同時在 COCM的宣教中心和其他歐洲的宣教工場上開展多項事工，藉著這些事工，神加添給我們很多屬靈的嬰孩，我們也藉此機會堅固年輕信徒們在神裡面

的信心。隨著我們事工的發展和神國度的拓展，我們也經歷到了屬靈的征戰，仇敵們沒有一刻

放棄做破壞和拆毀的工作，這也再一次提醒我們需要在一切的事上倚靠神的能力，並隨時多方

警醒禱告。 我和妻子鐘凌踏入歐洲的宣教工場已經有五個年頭了，隨著時間的推移，我們越來越多意識到我們是何等需要時刻都來仰望神的供應並倚靠祂的能力。宣教就是在那些還未認識神的人

群中擴展神的國度，並打破仇敵的綑綁，因此每個宣教士都置身於真實的屬靈戰場之上，而托

住這些宣教士的就是來自後方眾弟兄姊妹的禱告和奉獻支持。沒有這些來自後方的無條件的支

援，就不可能有長期堅守在前方的宣教士。 四月的最後兩個星期，我前往澳大利亞，探訪了我們差會林堅、蕭咏梅宣教士夫婦在墨爾本的母會。在那裡的很多弟兄姊妹都十分關心我們宣教士的需要，也迫切想要知道他們在工場

上的工作和生活情況，諸如宣教士們的生活條件如何，在歐洲各地巡迴開展事工時使用甚麼樣

的交通工具，每天遇到甚麼樣的人，以及他們所帶領的團隊是如何一起合作的。感謝主，我們

的宣教士在後方有這樣一群支持者成為他們強有力的後盾，這些弟兄姊妹們不僅關注他們在前

方宣教的果效，同時對宣教士也有全人的關懷。當我們在前方的宣教士越來越多投入到當地的

事工中時，他們的時間就逐漸用來關注工場上的各樣需要。這讓他們不得不陷入一個兩難的境

況中，若是他們投入時間和精力與自己所牧養的人群建立關系，那麼就不可能投入同等的時間

和精力來讓他們的支持者時刻知道他們在前方的狀況。我在此真誠感謝那些在後方全心全意支

持我們宣教士和我們各項事工的弟兄姊妹們，感謝你們無論在何等樣的境況中，都忠心地給予

我們很多支持和鼓勵。 我一方面感謝主加添給我們的宣教隊伍很多新的成員，於此同時，我也意識到我們所面對的挑戰，那就是如何召募和動員在後方能有更多的弟兄姊妹支持我們。首先，我們需要更多禱

告的勇士，在我們的背後藉著禱告的大能堵住一切的破口並托住我們所有的宣教士。同時，我

們也求神能興起更多願意在經濟上支持我們的弟兄姊妹，供應我們宣教士各方面的實際需要。 願我們眾人都能“靠著聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求；並要在此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求”（以弗所書六章 18）。  在主裡與你們同工的，          呂子峰牧師  總幹事
