LIBRARY USER POLICY CVCC student ID cards are used aslibrary cards and print/copy cards. The maximum number of books astudent may check out is ten. The loan period is four weeks andtwo renewals are allowed. The overdue fine is 20 cents per dayper book with maximum fine of 25dollars per book. Students will be placed on libraryhold if they have overdue booksand/or fines. Library fines can be paid and libraryholds can be cleared at theInformation Center. 4. LIBRARY AGREEMENT WITHCOLUMBUS TECHNICAL COLLEGE(CTC) Currently enrolled CVCC studentsmay use the CTC library facilitiesand resources. Students need to present the librarystaff at CTC: a current CTC/CVCC Library Card a valid photo ID CTC/CVCC Library Card can beobtained at the Information Centerin the library. 5 items can be checked out at anytime at the CTC library. Students are responsible for thereturn of all library materials andpaying fines associated with theaccounts. 5. LIBRARY WEBSITE Library website can be accessed at www.cv.edu/library. LIBRARY FACEBOOK The library Facebook canbe accessed atwww.facebook.com/cvcclibrary. The library Facebookpage provides: A platform for students tocommunicate with thelibrary staff. INTERLIBRARY LOAN SERVICE Interlibrary loan (ILL) service is acooperative effort amonglibraries to share resources.Through ILL, we are able toborrow materials that are notowned by our library. You may obtain ILL requestforms from the librarysInformation Center or submitthe requests online throughlibrary blog. There is no charge to studentsfor ILL service. 11. TEXTBOOKS ON RESERVE Library has textbooks onreserve for most CVCCcourses. Textbooks are for in-libraryuse only. Valid picture ID is requiredto use reserved textbooks. 12. LIBRARY RESOURCES Print Resources: Books: 46,000 volumes Periodicals: 40 titles Non-Print Resources: Audio-visual materials:1,200 items Bookmark collection E-Books: 20,000 volumes Online databases 13. LIBRARY ONLINE CATALOG The library online catalogcan be accessed throughthe library website or blog. BOOKMARK COLLECTION-DELICIOUS Delicious is a social bookmarkingweb service forstoring, sharing, and discoveringweb bookmarks. The library bookmark collection isavailable atwww.delicious.com/cvcclrc. The bookmarks are categorizedby subjects (tags). All bookmarks are selected byfaculty or by library staff. All bookmarks are reviewed andevaluated regularly. 15. E-BOOKS AT NETLIBRARY The library e-book collectioncan be accessed atnetlibrary.com . No user ID or passwordrequired when accessing thee-book collection oncampus. Remote access is availableby registering for a freeaccount at netlibrary.com byusing any computer oncampus. 16. ONLINE DATABASES Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) is primarily a group ofonline databases that have magazine, journal, andnewspaper articles on various subjects. The AVL can be accessed at http://www.avl.lib.al.us No user ID or password required to access the AVL inAlabama. Out of state access is available by obtaining a user IDand password from the library. 17.
