Should I use the Address Book ? If you are familiar with using the iPhone or iPad address book then you should keep right on adding
contacts in your iOS device and import them singly or en masse into Phone Tree. If you don’t need
contacts other than in Phone Tree you can add them in Phone Tree and still have the option to save
them to the address book.
iPad Address Book Contact
If you do use the address book then when you send
sms or iMessages the recipients’ names will appear
not just their contact number. This can be quite
helpful as an aid to knowing that the recipients are
as expected. In addition the app will use a contact’s
photo from the Address Book if they
have one.

the spaces provided here.
If an address book contact has multiple phone
numbers or email addresses the Choose

a contact from the address book) you will have
the option of adding this contact into the
address book.

your choice and silently add manually created
contacts into the address book as well as into
Phone Tree.
The No, don’t Add button will not add to the
address book and you will be offered the
choices next time.
The Add this Contact button will add to the
Address book just this once and you will be
offered the choices next time.
The Never Add to Address Book button will
not add to the Address Book and you will not be
offered the options again.
* Add contacts to the Address book when manually entered
Contact Photographs
In this version of the Phone Tree app contact photos are shown if a
contact was added from your Address Book and that contact has a
picture. Any new picture you apply in the Address Book will be
used.
In a future version of the app it is likely that you will be able to
use photos from your camera roll for contacts created in the app.

Updating Contacts
When you add a contact to Phone Tree it is available to be used in all Phone Trees you create.
When you export a Phone Tree the contact details are able to be imported into another device
allowing you to use your contacts on any devices you own and to send them to others who wish to
use the same Phone Tree contact lists.
Phone Tree uses email as the export / import mechanism not iCloud.
From the tools menu choose the delete contacts button. Initially you will see a list of every contact in the App.
Use the phone tree button to filter the list for only one phone tree.
Use the item type button to filter the list based on missing information. You can search on last name, phone text, email and twitter name.
Touch on the contact you wish to update and complete the required fields. Remember to touch save when complete.
