The feng shui of the family dining room is very important if you want to activate for wealth and abundance luck for the family. The best shapes for your dining table are round, rectangular or Pa Kua shaped (8-sided). All the numbers that popularly make up the dining table – 6, 8 and 10 are auspicious numbers. On the round table, a “lazy susan” is an auspicious feature best placed in the center. This slightly raised, second layer for the food to be placed on and rotated, is extremely auspicious. Dining rooms and especially dining tables should not be placed directly below toilets situated on the floor above, nor should there be anything heavy like a piano or a large cabinet pressing down on the dining area. These are inauspicious.
