Cars have changed. So have the traffic rules, driving conditions and the roads you travel every day. Some drivers age 55+ have never looked back since they got their first driver's licenses, but even the most experienced benefit from brushing up on their driving skills.

By taking this course, you can expect to learn current rules of the road, defensive driving tech-niques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. You’ll learn to adjust to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.

This eight-hour program is a classroom refresher course for drivers 55 years of age and over. Please call or stop in the Parks & Recreation Office to reserve a spot (phone – 847-677-9740). Fees are paid to the instructor on the first class. Please bring a check made payable to AARP. You must attend both days to receive certification for insurance discounts.

Dates: Tues., May 3 & 10 Code: 305302.D Min/Max: 10/30

Cost: $12 – AARP Member; $14 – Non-AARP Member Registration Deadline: April 26
