Structure

Past simple tense

The simple past is used to talk about acompleted actionin a timebefore now

You always use the simple past when you saywhensomething happened, so it is about certain past time expressions:frequency:often, sometimes, always EX. AFFIRMATIVE- I went for a walk up the mountain. - It was a beautiful sunny day. With most verbs the past tense is formed by adding -ed:call >> called, like >> likedIrregular verbs change their form in some other way: see >> saw, drink >> drankI walked up the mountain.
