Επίσης παρέχει πληροφορίες για το κόστος συμμετοχής στην εν λόγω έκθεση.
Την εν λόγω έκθεση επισκέπτονται εκπρόσωποι και αγοραστές
λιανοπωλητών του κλάδου της ενδυμάτων – υφασμάτων, χονδρέμποροι, εμπορικοί αντιπρόσωποι, βρετανικά και διεθνή επιμελητήρια και σχεδιαστές μόδας. Κατά το 2013, οι εκθέτες εκτιμώνται σε 120 ενώ οι επισκέπτες της έκθεσης σε 2.000.

Key Features
The London Garments Expo (LGE)
is a 3 day apparel trade show which has created a platform for British and international
manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and designers to enter the UK apparels market. Through
providing exhibition assistance, marketing and promotional
support and supplying exhibitors with the right contacts, press and buyers, we assist in helping our
exhibitors make a substantial impact within the market. The event area covers ready-made
garments in womenswear, menswear, lingerie and swimwear as well as fabrics held in alignment
with the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons.
The London Garments Expo took place from the 29th to 31st August 2012 at the Islington Business
Design Centre.
Philip Walker, Sourcing and Buying
Director for New Look, opened the show by cutting the ribbon at the venue entrance. During the 3-day
trade show, visitors and exhibitors were treated to two catwalks each day giving an up close look at some
of the amazing garments that London Garment Expo had on offer
in 2012. On the second day of the show, the London Garments Expo hosted a
VIP Gala which saw buyers from the likes of Asos and Topshop come through the doors to see the LGE'12
experience at its very best.

EXHIBITORS
The LGE gave a platform to a 122 exhibitors to showcase their
garments. There were different types of exhibitors from manufacturers to up-and-coming designers. The 3 day
trade show was versatile and had something for everyone.
VISITORS
The visitors at the London garments Expo are a mix of businesses such as retailers, distributors, agents, brands and educational bodies in the
fashion industry. Visitors came to the trade show for various reasons. Some came looking to outsource their production abroad, to find new designs, new fabrics and textiles. Important names attending the show
from retailer sector: Asos, Arcadia Group, Mothercare, Next, Lispy, Tie Rack, Monsoon Accessorize.

Press
During LGE'12 various media
publications attended such as Tropics Magazine, DivaScribe, The Upcoming and the Evening
Standard. The allocated press area was fairly busy between fashion
writers, bloggers, event presenter and media crew. In addition, all
media professionals were given London Garments Expo's goodie bags which contained leaflets,
brochures but also products from the event's sponsors. The Gala enabled exhibitors and
press to network during the evening. This was an amazing opportunity for exhibitors to
introduce their company to journalists and editors but also
buyers over a drink.
Catwalk
LGE gave both exhibitors and visitors the
chance to catch up on current trends with daily catwalks featuring the best of our emerging designers and manufacturers.
Catwalks were organized by the LGE team with a top UK stylist and an Italia Conti trained choreographer to ensure the
exhibitors collections were displayed to their best potential. With a huge mixture
of designers and manufacturers eager to take part in the catwalks, LGE held two shows a day with a smart/casual catwalk
at midday followed by an eveningwear and lingerie catwalk in the afternoon.

participants included the AEPC, Sonata Lingerie, Sparkle Mode, Lena
Santana, GTIG, Nico Didonna, Rebecca Torres and many more.
Marketing
Several marketing promotions tools were
made such as a preview magazine but also LGE brochures. In addition, the London garments Expo
was advertised on many platforms such as Drapers.co.uk, biztradeshows.com, diarydirectory.com, fashionunited.co.uk.,
fibre2fashion.com. The advertising on both Drapers and Fibre2Fashion were
done both online and on their respective magazines. In order to support those advertisement,
the use of social media was enforced in order to create a buzz but also build relationships with the target market.
In terms of media, the main sponsor Tropics Magazine promoted the event before, during and after the trade show.
LGE'13 Goals
London Garments Expo will return for its
third show in September 2013, highlighted to be the number one international sourcing event in the UK.
This will be an ideal opportunity to source from some of the best
manufacturers and fabric suppliers in the industry.
