LONGINES JUMPING HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW 2016 FOSTERS

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT IN EQUESTRIANISM

全民參與馬術盛會 浪琴表 2016年度場地障礙馬王賽

(Hong Kong, 30th April 2016) – The finale of the Horse of the Year Show 2015/16 –

LONGINES Jumping Horse of the Year Show 2016 organized by the Hong Kong Equestrian

Federation and supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club was completed with breaking record

of 129 entries at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Beas River Equestrian Centre today, 30th April.

Over 1,000 visitors and 500 members of NGOs were provided with free shuttle bus services.

－浪琴表 2016年度場地障礙馬王賽，已於今天 4月 30日(星期六) 在雙魚河馬術中心完滿結束，

該賽事更刷新 129名騎手參賽紀錄。超過 1,000名公眾及 500名來自社福機構的市民享用免費穿

梭巴士服務入場參觀。

The famous Swiss watch brand LONGINES was proud to be the Title Partner of the Jumping

Horse of the Year Show for the third consecutive year. LONGINES’ passion for equestrian sport

dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount at

its case back. Today, LONGINES’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat

racing, endurance and eventing competitions. The brand share with equestrian sports its values

of elegance, precision, performance and tradition.

香港馬術總會感到非常榮幸連續三年獲得瑞士著名腕錶品牌浪琴表成為場地障礙馬王賽冠名合作

夥伴。浪琴表對馬術運動的熱情可追溯至 1878 年，品牌當時生產了一枚刻有騎師及其馬匹圖案

的計時碼表。時至今日，浪琴表涉足多項不同的馬術運動，除馬術障礙賽以外，還包括平地賽及

耐力賽等等。浪琴表與馬術運動擁有同樣的價值理念，注重優雅、精準、卓越表現與傳統。

A total of seven show jumping competitions which consists of Clear Round Jumping for kids,

exhilarating Fancy Dress Relay and up to the LONGINES Grimshaw Plate at the end were held

on the event day. In the morning, Aden Yeung sealed the win in the LONGINES Jumping Class

w/o jump off (70cm); Samantha Di Cristina impressed the spectators by finishing the

LONGINES Speed Challenge (90cm) in the shortest time of 57.05 seconds; Team Bee Happy

from Tuen Mun Public Riding School won the LONGINES Fancy Dress Team Relay (80cm) and

Stephen Ng succeeded in winning the LONGINES Wrinklies Rice Bowl (Accumulator with Joker)

(70cm).

今日合共七場賽場，包括少年騎手熱身賽，令人目不暇給的隊際鬼馬服飾賽，以至壓軸賽事

Grimshaw 盃。楊竣溢得到浪琴表 (70 厘米) 場地障礙賽冠軍；Samantha Di Cristina 以最短時間

57.05 秒完成浪琴表 (90 厘米) 速度賽，吸引全場目光；來自屯門公眾騎術學校 Bee Happy 隊憑

實力奪得浪琴表 (80 厘米) 隊際鬼馬服飾場地障礙賽第一名；吳仕德成功挑戰浪琴表 (70厘米) 先

進盃計分賽。

Class 6 LONGINES Jumping Class with two rounds (105cm) and Class 7 Grimshaw Plate with

two rounds (120cm) sponsored by LONGINES were the most fiercely fought competitions of the

day. Lennard Chiang and Florence Fu were the winners of two classes respectively. On top of

all, Eric Wei with his horse Uncle Sam won the title as the LONGINES Jumping Horse of the

Year of the season 2015/16. Lennard and Eric both received the LONGINES Master Collection

Moonphase timepiece while Florence received the LONGINES Equestrian Collection timepiece

from Ms. Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of LONGINES Hong Kong.

浪琴表 (105 厘米) 場地障礙賽及浪琴表贊助：Grimshaw 盃(120 厘米)為比賽當日最激烈的賽事。

最後由蔣景麟和傅筱晴分別贏出這兩項賽事。最後，韋漢泉與愛駒 Uncle Sam奪得 2015/16年度

浪琴表場地障礙馬王殊榮。蔣景麟及韋漢泉均獲得由浪琴表香港區副總裁歐陽楚英小姐頒贈浪琴

表名匠系列男士腕錶，傅筱晴則獲得浪琴表騎仕系列女士腕錶，以表揚他們出色的表現。

On top of these, the annual awards were presented at the End of Season Celebration Dinner

right after the competition. The prestigious Jose Remedios Memorial Trophy together with a

special cash prize of HK$2,000 sponsored by LONGINES was taken home by Lennard Chiang,

who is the best performing junior this season. For the Eventing and Dressage Horse of the Year

Show held in March and earlier April, Sunny Smiles ridden by Boris Yue was crowned the

Dressage Horse of the Year while Quick Money ridden by Tang Mei Shuen came first for the

Overall Horse of the Year Award. As the highest-scoring horse in all three disciplines, Chariots

of Fire ridden by Dennis Cassidy championed as the Overall Horse of the Year.

除此之外，其餘年度大獎則於季終晚宴頒發。蔣景麟獲頒 Jose Remedios紀念盃及浪琴表贊助的

特別現金獎港幣二千元。至於三到四月舉行的三項馬王賽及盛裝舞步馬王賽，余民浩跟拍檔

Sunny Smiles 奪得本年度盛裝舞步馬王獎，鄧美旋及 Quick Money 則獲得盛裝舞步馬王獎。

Dennis Cassidy策騎的 Chariots of Fire於三種馬術比賽中均表現出色，獲得年度總馬王獎。

In addition to the equestrian competitions, a fun area including face painting booth and photo

corner with miniature ponies and LONGINES Jump as well as the Bouncy Horse area was set

up for kids and families. The highlights of the day were the refreshing dance by Cool Kids

Academy, the exciting demonstration by three police dogs of the Hong Kong Police Force Police

Dog Unit, and finally the Dog & Horse Jumping Relay by the Hong Kong Kennel Club.

除了馬術比賽，場內更設有遊玩攤位區，當中包括臉部繪畫，與迷你小馬及浪琴表障礙欄拍照留

念，以及適合一家大小參與的繪畫馬匹動物工作坊。而當中精彩節目更包括由香港警務處警犬隊

的花式表演及日常工作示範、Cool Kids Academy 打氣團表演以及香港狗會的狗狗及馬匹接力賽。

More than 1,500 people of all ages flocked to the LONGINES Jumping Horse of the Year Show

2016 in celebration of the end of competition season. Most visitors had a fun day, watching

equestrian events and guessing the winning horses. We wish to introduce the first bond of

horsemanship to the general public, especially young children. Volunteers were there to provide

assistance and share interesting experience in attending equestrian competitions with

spectators.

當日超過 1,500 名市民入場，不論男女老幼均蜂擁而至參與浪琴表場地障礙馬王賽這年度盛會，

一同慶祝本年度馬術賽季結束。到場市民渡過了充滿樂趣的一天，在雙魚河馬術中心享受與馬匹

親密接觸。是次活動更給予了很多家庭及社福團體首次與馬匹相處的難忘體驗，富有經驗的義工

更提供協助及向現場觀眾分享關於參加馬術比賽的有趣經歷。

The Hong Kong Equestrian Federation would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all

riders for their achievement in the season 2015/2016 as well as to thank all Judges, Stewards,

Course building team, Veterinarians, St. John’s First Aid team as well as all volunteers for their

contributions and efforts. Last but not least, we would like to extend our gratitude to the Hong

Kong Police Dog Unit, Hong Kong Kennel Club and Cool Kids Academy who brought smiles

and happiness to many faces.

香港馬術總會藉此機會祝賀所有 2015/2016 年度得獎騎手，並表揚他們的優異成績，以及感謝所

有技術官員，包括裁判，賽事監管，比賽場地建設團隊，獸醫，聖約翰急救隊以及因為所有的義

工，感謝他們作出的貢獻和努力。同時亦要感謝香港警務處警犬隊，香港狗會及 Cool Kids

Academy舞蹈團為在場市民帶來笑容及歡樂。
