Attraverso le nuove collezioni, Lumen Center Italia delinea il suo scenario per il futuro: MENOXPIÚ / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020. Un piano di sviluppo che prevede meno inquinamento per più qualità della vita, meno consumi energetici per più risparmio, meno speculazione per più etica.

L’obiettivo è la creazione di un futuro più sostenibile e responsabile garantendo prodotti dall’alto contenuto tecnologico, estetico e qualitativo che, allo stesso tempo, siano “giusti” nei confronti dell’ambiente e delle persone.

Lumen Center Italia delineates its future scenario: MENOXPIÚ / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020. A development plan that involves less pollution for more quality of life, less energy consumption for more savings, less speculation for more ethics.

FOLIAGE è la nuova linea di applique e plafoniere a sorgente LED disegnata da Enrico Azzimonti per Lumen Center Italia. Il progetto si propone di riportare attraverso linee essenziali e giochi di luce indiretta, le emozioni luminose che si provano standosene sdraiati sotto la chioma di un albero e osservandone le foglie.

In linea con la strategia aziendale MENOxPIÚ / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020, i prodotti della collezione FOLIAGE garantiscono un elevato risparmio energetico grazie alle sorgenti LED utilizzate: costi di manutenzione e consumi si abbattono garantendo più risparmio e più qualità della vita.

FOLIAGE is the new collection of wall and ceiling lamps with LED light sources, designed by Enrico Azzimonti for Lumen Center Italia. This project aims at reproducing the bright emotions you can feel by lying under the crown of a tree and observing its leaves.

According to the company’s strategy MENOxPIÚ / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020, the lamps of this collection guarantee high energy savings thanks to the LED light sources used: maintenance costs and consumption are reduced allowing more savings and a better quality of life.

ENRICO AZZIMONTIIL DESIGNER

Enrico Azzimonti, 1966, architetto e designer. Nel 1994 apre il suo studio di progettazione a Busto Arsizio, in una fabbrica inizi ‘900 che si affaccia sull’ottocentesca strada napoleonica del Sempione che collegava Milano con Parigi. Ha collaborato con lo IUAV di Venezia e di San Marino, l’Università La Sapienza di Roma, l’Istituto Marangoni di Milano. Da alcuni anni svolge attività didattica presso lo IED di Milano. Ha progettato per aziende quali : Lumen Center Italia, TVS, Lavazza, Fratelli Guzzini, Pavoni Italia, Coop, Jvc, Diamantini&Domeniconi, Risolì, Zava, BLM Group e altre. I suoi lavori si sono fatti notare in concorsi, mostre, esposizioni internazionali e sulla stampa specializzata in Italia ed all’estero. Alcuni suoi progetti fanno parte della collezione permanente del Museu de les Arts Decoratives di Barcellona.

THE DESIGNER

Enrico Azzimonti, 1966, is an architect and designer.In 1994 he opened his Design Studio in Busto Arsizio in a factory, a twentieth century building, that faces the Napoleonic nineteen century road that linked up Milan and Paris. He collaborated with the IUAV of Venezia and San Marino, the University La Sapienza of Rome, the Istituto Marangoni of Milan. He has been teaching since 2006 at Ied, Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan. His works have been shown at international competitions and exhibitions, have been commented by press staff both in Italy and abroad. He has carried out some projects for: Lumen Center Italia,TVS, Lavazza, Fratelli Guzzini, Coop, Jvc, Diamantini&Domeniconi, Risolì, Zava, BLM Group and others. Some of his works are shown at the permanent collection of the Museu de les Arts Décoratives in Barcelona.

YOROI è un progetto che si ispira alle antiche armature giapponesi, nato all’insegna del nuovo piano MENOxPIÚ / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020, si sviluppa in una nuova famiglia di lampade adatte all’illuminazione di tutta la casa. Tutte le versioni YOROI - applique, sospensione e terra - sono dotate di attacco universale E27.

YOROI is a project inspired by the ancient Japanese armours, born under LCI motto ‘MENOXPIU’ 2020 / LUMEN CENTER ITALIA 2020’. It has been developed as a new lamp collection – with universal E27 socket - of wall, hanging and standing lamps, for the illumination of the whole house.

SEGNI&VIRGOLA sono le nuove proposte a sorgente LED di Lumen Center Italia. Una famiglia di punti luce a parete caratterizzati da un design estremamente minimale che risponde al piano MENOXPIÚ “sottraendo”: le lampade sono infatti progettate per ottenere il miglior rendimento luminoso con il minore ingombro e utilizzo di materiale. Il risultato: un concentrato di luce in cui il corpo lampada sparisce sulla parete per dare risalto alle potenzialità dei nuovi LED utilizzati.

SEGNI&VIRGOLA are the new Lumen Center Italia lamps with LED light source.A collection of wall spot lights, characterized by an extremely minimal design, in accordance with the plan MENOXPIU’, ‘subtracting’: the lamps are in fact designed to obtain the best lighting performance, though by a minimal use of space and materials. The result: a ‘concentration of light’ where the lamp body disappears on the wall emphasizing the potential of the new LED used.

ALBERTO SAGGIA e VALERIO SOMMELLAI DESIGNER

ALBERTO SAGGIA nasce a Novara nel 1978. Laureatosi nel 2004 al Politecnico di Milano in Disegno Industriale con specializzazione illuminotecnica, subito inizia la collaborazione con lo studio Metis Lighting di Milano, occupandosi di lighting design e industrial design, oltre allo sviluppo di soluzioni illuminotecniche custom made. VALERIO SOMMELLA nasce a Cortona nel 1980. Si laurea con lode in Disegno Industriale al Politecnico di Milano nel 2004, anno in cui inizia a lavorare con Stefano Giovannoni. Nel 2007 lascia Milano per trasferirsi ad Amsterdam dove entra a far parte del team di Marcel Wanders. Dal 2009 vive e lavora a Milano progettando prodotti che spaziano dall’illuminazione all’elettronica di consumo per clienti italiani e internazionali.

Dal 2010 collaborano insieme allo sviluppo di apparecchi e sistemi di illuminazione per note aziende italiane.

THE DESIGNERS

ALBERTO SAGGIA was born in Novara in 1978. In 2004 he graduated in Industrial Design with a specialization in Lighting Design.at Politecnico of Milan. Soon after he has started his collaboration with Metis Lighting Studio in Milan designing for both the industrial and lighting field and where he also projects custom made lighting solutions. VALERIO SOMMELLA was born in Cortona in 1980. He graduated cum laude in Industrial Design at Politecnico of Milan in 2004 and, in the same year, he started working with Stefano Giovannoni. In 2007 he moved to Amsterdam to join Macel Wanders ‘s design team. Since 2009 he lives and works in Milan designing a wide range of products, from lighting to consumer electronic appliances for both Italian and international companies.

Since 2010 they work together developing lighting products and systems for important Italian Lighting companies.

Lumen Center Italia è un’azienda che “fa lampade” attraverso un processo produttivo semi-artigianale. Non è una grande industria per milioni di copie, ma un grande laboratorio che insegue l’eccellenza, in cui designer, architetti, ingegneri, tecnici e artigiani si incontrano per mettere a punto apparecchi ispirati dal cuore e dalla fantasia, ma guidati dalla ragione e dalla funzionalità. E’ una fabbrica italiana a vocazione internazionale che, per il design dei propri prodotti, segue una metodologia ben precisa: ricettiva nei confronti del pensiero contemporaneo, con forti radici culturali, sensibile all’estetica.

Lumen Center Italia è - e vuole continuare ad essere - una fabbrica italiana del design, in cui produrre apparecchi di illuminazione, prototipati, testati e costruiti interamente in Italia. Lumen Center Italia is a factory ‘producing lamps’ through a semi-artisanal production process. Not a big manufacturer turning out millions of copies, but a great laboratory that pursues excellence, where designers, architects, engineers, technicians and craftsmen meet to develop lighting equipments inspired by their heart and fantasy, but guided by reason and functionality.

An Italian factory, international in scope which, for the design of its products pursues a precise methodology: receptive to the contemporary thinking, with deep cultural roots, sensible to aesthetics.

Lumen Center Italia is – and wants to continue to be, an Italian design factory, where lighting systems are manufactured, from the prototypes to the end tested products, entirely in Italy. A factory of integral Made in Italy products, sustainable, reliable, approachable, open-minded, where valuable objects are manufactured for the homes of today and tomorrow.
