    Mahamayuri Mandala: At the top are the Seven Buddhas, from Kasyapa Buddha to Shakyamuni Buddha;

    just below the Seven Buddhas is the future Buddha, Maitreya Bodhisattva. Next comes all

    Furthermore, Mahamayuri is the nirmanakaya of Amitabha Buddha. The

    WesternParadiseismanifestedbyAmitabhaBuddha;thus,parrots,peacocks,

    jivajiras, kalavinkas [in the Western Paradise] are manifestedby Amitabha

    Buddha as well. Mahamayuri is considered the nirmanakaya of Amitabha

    Buddha,becausepeacocks are residents of theWestern Paradise.Therefore,

    Mahamayuri has the same power as Amitabha Buddha. It is known that

    AmitabhaBuddhaiscapableofdeliveringthosewithkarmichindrancestothe

    WesternParadise,sohecanchangefixedkarma.Ifyouhavefixedkarma,but

    you pray wholeheartedly to Mahamayuri, that is equivalent to praying

    wholeheartedly toMahavairocanaBuddha andAmitabhaBuddha.Aperson

    whoprayswholeheartedlytoAmitabhaBuddhacanberebornintheWestern

    Paradise.Isntthattransformingkarma?Thisdemonstratesthetranscendental

    powerofMahamayuri.

    Mahamayuriisalsoasambhogakaya.Inapreviouslife,ShakyamuniBuddha

    reincarnatedasthePeacockKing.Asaresult,Mahamayuriisregardedasthe

    sambhogakayaofShakyamuniBuddha.ThePeacockKing is identifiedasan

    embodiment of Shakyamuni Buddha. Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of

    Buddhism,attainedbuddhahood in thesahaworld.Hispower isboundless.

    To sum it all up, Mahamayuri is the embodiment of three buddhas: the

    nisyandakayaof

    Mahavairocana

    Buddha,

    the

    nirmanakaya

    of

    Amitabha

    Buddha, and the sambhogakayaofShakyamuniBuddha. Ifyouattainyogic

    unionwithMahamayuri,youwill alsobe inunionwith the threebuddhas.

    Thecombinedforceoftheirinconceivablepowercandefinitelytransformfixed

    karma.Abuddhacannottransformfixedkarma.Onebuddhacannotdoit,but

    manybuddhascan[audienceapplause].

    For example, theres the story of Maudgalyayana saving his mother.

    Maudgalyayana possessed great transcendental powers and went to the

    hungryghostrealmtosavehismother.Heusedhispowerstocreatefoodto

    feed his mother,but as soon as the food came near her mouth, it would

    immediatelyturnintofire,soitwasntpossibleforhertoeat.Afterexhausting

    allmeans,Maudgalyayana turned to ShakyamuniBuddha for help and the

    Buddha said that therewasaway to savehismother.TheUllambanaSutra

    relates thatMaudgalyayana convened all holy laymen, alongwith the holy

    sangha,andwith their combinedpower,Maudgalyayanawasable to rescue

    hismotherfromthehungryghostrealm.Justliketoday,ifonevajramasters

    powerisinsufficient,wehaveoverseventyvajramastersheretoday.Withthe

    becomeMahamayuris shrine.Then,howdoweenshrineMahamayuri?You

    cansimplywritethedeitiesnames.Youcanjustwritethemdown:theSeven

    Buddhas, Maitreya Bodhisattva, pratyekabuddhas, sravakas, the Eight

    Heavenly Gods, the TwentyEight Yaksas, the Nine Luminaries, and the

    TwelveZodiacs.WritetheSevenBuddhasonthetop,writetheTwelveZodiacs

    on the bottom, and then write rest of the retinue around Mahamayuri.

    Mahamayuricanberepresentedasathangka,orastatue,orevenonepeacock

    feather in themiddle.The simplestmethod is tobuyand stickonepeacock

    feather in the center, and write the retinue on the red paper the Seven

    Buddhas, Maitreya Bodhisattva, pratyekabuddhas, sravakas, the Eight

    Heavenly Gods, the TwentyEight Yaksas, the Nine Luminaries, and the

    Twelve Zodiacs. These are Mahamayuris entourage, some of whom have

    attainedthenisyandakaya,nirmanakaya,andsambhogakayaofMahamayuri.Thatishowwesetuptheshrine[audienceapplause].

    Next,youmustfosterbodhicittabeforecultivatingtheMahamayurisadhana,

    which is necessary for any sadhana anyway.Withbodhicitta, or a heart of

    benevolence,compassion,joy,andequanimity,youwouldbringhappiness to

    others, happily alleviate otherspain, and sacrifice anything and everything

    An

    external

    offering

    is

    quite

    familiar

    to

    us,

    because

    we

    have

    been

    doing itregularly.An internaloffering ismoresecretive,which isanoffering

    ofbody,speech,andmind.Whatisadharmaofferingthen?Thatisanoffering

    of Buddhanature. You transform your Buddhanature to Mahamayuri by

    beinginyogicunionwithMahamayuri,inwhichstateyourbody,speech,and

    mind are indistinguishable from that of Mahamayuri. That is the

    Buddhanatureoffering.TheBuddhanatureofferingisverypowerful,butyou

    cannotmakeanymistakeswithitatall.ThatistheBuddhanatureoffering.

    I have explained the external offering, the internal offering, and the

    Buddhanatureoffering.Wehaveperformedthegreathomage,fourfoldrefuge,

    fostering bodhicitta, mandala offering, and then we continue to the

    visualization,asguidedbytheTBSsadhana.MasterLianninghaspreviously

    asked how to form the mudra. First, our [two hands] form the internal

    handclaspmudra, and then the two pinky fingers cross each other [in the

    officialMahamayurisadhana,thethumbsandpinkyfingersshouldjusttouch

    eachother],andthetwothumbscrosseachother,asifourhandshaveturned

    intoapeacock.Ourthumbsformthehead,whilethepinkyfingersarethetail,

    and themiddle [of ourhands] is thebody of thepeacock.There is another

    externalhandclaspmudra forMahamayuri.That is[GrandMaster forms the

    mudra]thepeacockshead,feather,andbody.Theexternalhandclaspmudrais

    used topractice theflyingsadhana.TheseareMahamayuriswings, flapping

    wings to show she is flying.That is theMahamayuriFlyingMudra.Okay, I

    havetaughttwomudras.

    Afterformingthemudra,youcanstartvisualizingemptiness.TheEmptiness

    Mantra is Om, sibawa, suda, saerwa, daerma, sibawa, sudohang.

    VisualizeemptinessasyourecitetheEmptinessmantra.Visualizeacircleand

    recitetheEmptinessMantraonce;emptinesscanbepicturedasacircle.First,

    theseedsyllableYUemergesfromtheemptiness,symbolizingtheappearance

    ofthepeacock.Alternatively,youcanvisualizethepeacockfeathersappearingfirst, and from among the feathers emerges the seed syllable YU, which

    resembles a peacock. The seed syllableYU then transforms into a peacock.

    Next,wevisualizetheseedsyllableBAM,whichlookskindoflikeacircleand

    adot,asymbolofabird.In themiddleofthepeacockandpeacockfeathers,

    thewhiteseedsyllableBAMappearsandtransformsintoalotusflower.Lastly,

    theseedsyllableMO,whichisalittlebitliketheChinesecharacterformouth,

    transformsintoMahamayuri.YUisthepeacock,BAMisthelotusflower,and

    MOis

    Mahamayuri.

    The

    lotus

    flower

    is

    white,

    the

    peacock

    is

    golden,

    and

    Mahamayuri is a mix of gold and white. Mahamayuri also wears the

    FiveBuddhaCrown,likeGrandMasteriswearingnow.

    The fourarmedMahamayuri, fromwhomwe receive transmission, holds a

    white lotus flower inher first righthand, and in the second righthand she

    holdsaredbijapura.Inherfirstlefthand,sheholdsayellowauspiciousfruit,

    and thesecond lefthandsheholdsapeacock feather.Thepeacock feather is

    dark in color, darkblue, dark grey, sometimesblue orblack, or sometimes

    multicolored.Thefirstrighthandholdsa lotusflower,thesecondrighthand

    holdsabijapura, the first lefthandholdsanauspicious fruit,andapeacock

    featherinthesecondlefthand.Eachimplementischaracterizedwithdifferent

    colorsandfunctions:lotusflowerforpacification,bijapuraforharmonization,

    auspicious fruit forenhancement,and thepeacock feather is forsubjugation,

    allservedifferentpurposesrespectively.

    AftervisualizingMahamayuri,thereisapeacock,andalotusflower,youcan

    reciteOm,ah,humtobeseechblessingsfromthethreebeamsoflight[white,

    red,andblue].Uponreceivingblessingsfromthethreelights,Om,ah,hum

    [GrandMasterrecitesagain],Mahamayuriwillempoweryouandmergeinto

    you;youwillalsomerge intoMahamayuriandbecomeMahamayuri.This is

    theRuwo (deityenteringoneself)WoruVisualization (oneenteringdeity),a

    process ofuniting and transforming.Aftervisualizing theBlessingofThree

    Lights andbefore practicing the RuwoWoru Visualization for uniting and

    transforming, you should recite the Mahamayuri Mantra. Right before

    entering the samadhiofRuwoWoru,you should recite themantra.We can

    recite the short version of theMahamayuriMantra: Om, moyuli,geladi,

    soha,om,moyuli,geladi,soha,om,moyuli,geladi,soha,om,moyuli,

    geladi,soha.MosignifiesMahamayuri,yuliisthepeacock,geladiis

    greatdharmapower, and soha isaccomplishment.Om is interpretedas

    the consciousness of the universe, as well as the accomplishment ofMahamayuris great transcendental power [audience applause]. Themantra

    wejustlearnedistheshortestversion.

    There isalsoanotherversionnot seenonany sutra:Om,dika, lala, soha.

    Dika is something Indonesian studentswouldbevery familiarwith.Sadu,

    duwa,dika [audience laughandapplause].Dika is three.Om,dika, lala,

    soha.Thereisthisshortmantra,whichisalsoMahamayurismantra.Thatis

    Taiwanese] [GrandMaster laughs]. In thepast, Imemorized sadu,duwa,

    dika[1,2,3inIndonesian][GrandMasterlaughs].ItisDiKa,notdika[pigs

    leg in Taiwanese]. Om, dika, lala, soha is also a short version of the

    MahamayuriMantra.Eitheroneofthetwoversionsisacceptable.Youshould

    dothevisualizationandrecitethemantrabeforeenteringsamadhi.

    What issamadhi?Samadhi isunitingormerging intoone.RuwoWoru is to

    mergeintoone.Mahamayurimergesintome,andIbecomeMahamayuri,that

    is merge into one. When I enter into Mahamayuris heart, that is Woru.

    Whatsabout transformation?Youcanquickly transform into thesamadhiof

    Mahamayuri.

    What is the essenceofVajrayana?The essence lies inmerging into one and

    transformation. Ihavementionedbefore,whenManjushriBodhisattvaenters

    the heart of Lord Yama,Manjushri BodhisattvabecomesYamantaka.When

    AmitabhaBuddhaenterstheheartandsamadhiofAvalokitesvaraBodhisattva,

    AmitabhaBuddhabecomesThousandeyed,ThousandarmedAvalokitesvara

    Bodhisattva;whenAvalokitesvaraBodhisattvaenters thebodyofahorse, in

    the animal realm, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva becomes Hayagriva. These

    accounts illustrate uniting and transformation. The power of uniting is to

    become one,whereas that of transformation is tobecomemany.Manjushri

    Bodhisattva only has two hands, but after merging into Lord Yama and

    transforming into Yamantaka, his hands are multiplied. The outcome of

    transformationaugmentshispower,empoweringhimtobeaheruka.

    ThepracticeofmergingintooneinVajrayanaenablesonetobecomeabuddha

    or a bodhisattva, whereas the practice of transformation is evolving into

    myriads of deities and acquiringmore power. In a nutshell,RuwoWoru is

    unitingandtransformation.Vajrayananotesthatenteringistoenterintomy

    body,dwelling is todwell inmybody,andmerging is tomerge thetwobodies into one. You have to clearly understand the concept of entering,

    dwelling,andmerging.Enteringsamadhiiswhenyouenterthesamadhiofa

    specific deity. You are now entering Mahamayuris samadhi: Mahamayuri

    becomingyou,youbecomingMahamayuri.Afterexiting from samadhi,you

    shouldpraiseMahamayuriwiththeMahamayuriPraisebelow:

    LordBuddha,thegreatcompassionateone,

    Yourdharmakaya

    isendowed

    with

    the

    tranquility

    of

    nirvana.

    Yourpowerandabilitiesareboundless,

    Andallofyourmeritsandvirtuesareperfect.

    This verse is to praise Mahamayuri. Since Shakyamuni Buddha has great

    compassion, he once reincarnated as the PeacockKing.His dharmakaya is

    endowedwiththetranquilityofnirvana.Whenheexertshisgreatpowerand

    abilities,heaccomplishedallmeritsandvirtues.

    After praisingMahamayuri, you should repentant. You should repent for

    yourwrongdoingsinthepastandapologizeforthemistakesyouhavemade.

    Whatisthesignificanceofrepentance?Withoutrepentance,youcannotpurify

    and removeyourkarmichindrances.Youhave to repentandpromisenot to

    repeatthesamemistakes.SoyourecitetheVajrasattvaMantra(alsoknownas

    theHundredSyllableMantra),repentforyourtransgressions,anddedicatethe

    meritsasbelow:

    TheBuddhadharmaisboundless.

    TheMahamayurisadhanacanbecultivated formajororminorpurposes. In

    Japan, the Mahamayuri Mandala is worshipped as a means to pray for

    nationalpeace.TheMahamayurisadhanacanalsobeutilizedtoresolveminor

    issues,suchastheswineflu,H1N1[audienceapplause].Iwillelaboratelater.I

    didnt fabricate the healingpower, itwaswritten in theMahamayuri Sutra.

    TheMahamayuri sadhana canbe cultivated to cure all kinds of sicknesses.

    YesterdaywasFriday[GrandMasterpauses],todayisSaturday,andtomorrow

    isSunday[GrandMasterandaudiencelaugh].Asyougetolder,youllforget

    what day it was yesterday. Yesterday was Friday. I worked on spiritualconsultation from3:30pm to6:30pm, for threehours.Manyofmystudents

    are sick. Iamglad thatyou came today!Whenyouattainyogicunionwith

    Mahamayuri,your illnesswillbe cured. Iwill transmit the illnessremoving

    practicelateron.Afterthededication,youshouldperformthegreathomage.I

    have just finished talking about a complete session of the Mahamayuri

    sadhana: the four preliminary practices, great homage, fourfold refuge,

    engenderbodhicitta, mandala offering, visualizing Mahamayuri with three

    theMahamayurisadhana.IwillhandovertheproceduretoMasterLianning

    and the True Buddha Foundation. They will note down the details of the

    sadhana from A to K [audience laugh]. Let them do it. Just now Master

    Lianning gave me homework, so now Im giving him homework [Grand

    Master and audience laugh]. Anyways, you should write out the sadhana

    procedures[audienceapplause].

    Iwill first teach the earthquake suppression practice. Everyone is afraid of

    earthquakes. Indonesiajust experienced an earthquake, so you [Indonesian

    students] shoulddiligently cultivate it after returninghome.Mahamayuri is

    fullycapableofsuppressingearthquakes.Youshouldallocateanareainfront

    oftheMahamayurishrine inyour[main]shrine,and thenacquiresoilfrom

    thefourdirections,soilfromtheeast,south,west,andnorth.Forexample,we

    liveinWashingtonstate,whatareourfourdirections?Fromthewest,digupa

    catty of soil [catty is a unit of weight used in various countries of

    SoutheastAsia;inChinaitisequalto500grams,whereasinTaiwanitisabout

    cattyofsoilfromSpokane;fromthesouth,dothesameinthevicinityofthe

    weonlyneed togo to theborder todigupacattyofsoil.Thereyouhave

    gathered soil from the fourdirections. In front ofMahamayuri, stick four

    peacock feathers in the soil you have collected. If you are a Mahamayuri

    practitioner,andhavealreadyachievedunionwithMahamayuri,youshould

    be able to perceive the presence of Mahamayuri. You can then recite the

    mantra 10,000 times. Om, moyuli, geladi, soha, om, moyuli, geladi,

    soha,om,moyuli,geladi,soha,om,moyuli,geladi,soha,om,moyuli,

    geladi, soha, om, moyuli,geladi, soha, until you have reached 10,000

    times.Then,youwillreturnthesoilfromthefourdirections,backtowhere

    you got it from.You have tomark downwhere you dug up the soil from[audiencelaugh].Youcanstickapieceofbamboointheareawhereyoudug

    upthesoil,andthenyoucanreturnthesoil.Sendthewesternsoilbacktothe

    west,easternsoilbacktoSpokane,southernsoilbacktothebridgeand,lastly,

    the northern soilback to theCanadianborder.After sending the soilback

    home, earthquakes will be suppressed in Washington state [audience

    applause].

    Remember!There

    is

    one

    very

    important

    point

    to

    note.

    If

    you

    return

    the

    soil

    from theeast to thewest,put thesoil from thewest in theeast,put thesoil

    fromthesouthinthenorth,andputthesoilfromthenorthinthesouth,then

    anearthquakewilloccur!Anotherpoint, ifyouarecarelessandonly return

    some of the soil to where you got them from, that will also cause an

    earthquake! Ifyou takeacattyofsoil,youshould returnacattyof soil.

    Youmustweighitprecisely.Takeacattyofsoil,returnacattyofsoil.This

    istheearthquakesuppressionpractice.

    Youhaveheardabout the88floodandmudslides inTaiwan [thedisastrous

    Typhoon Morakot that flooded Taiwan on August 8, 2009]. Wow! Xiaolin

    Village was totally buried underneath the mudslides. We have one TBS

    studentandhisfamilywholivedinthatvillage.Themudslidessurgeddown

    anddemolished thewholevillage.While the roofwasshaking,ourstudents

    weresnoringdeepintheirsleep.IamnotsureifIsnoreornotbecauseIsleep

    alone.However, Iknow thatShimudoes snore [GrandMasterandaudience

    laugh]!Thesoundofhersnoreisverygentleandsoft.Once,MasterLianhuo

    andI traveled toJapanbecausewewere invited there,butIrushedoutwith

    myblanket in themiddle of night. Iwas sleeping in the same roomwith

    MasterLianhuo,andinthemiddleofthenight,Irushedoutinmyunderwear

    [GrandMasterandaudience laugh].Icarriedmyblanket tosleep inanother

    room.Itwasahorribleexperience[GrandMasterandaudiencelaugh].

    Whenthemudslidesstarted,ourstudentsfamilywasasleep.Thenextday,he

    wokeupand lookedout from thewindow.Howcomehisneighborshadall

    disappeared?!Hishousewas theonly one left.That is thebenefitof taking

    refugeinGrandMaster.Theragingmudslidesfromthemountainsbehindhis

    housemanaged to create enough force to push his house up and then the

    mudslide continued on its path. His neighbors were all buried by the

    mudslides,buthishousefloateduponthemudslide.Iwassostunnedthathis

    housewas able to float, andhewas still snoring!Whenhewokeup in themorning,rubbinghiseyes,helookedoutthewindow.Oh!Whathappenedto

    all the houses? Only his was left! That is the protection for TBS students

    providedbyourdharmaprotectors[audienceapplause].

    Doyou clearlyunderstand theearthquake suppressionpractice Ijust talked

    about?Ihopeso.IvisitedTaiwanand livedthereforthreeandahalfyears

    duringmyretreat.IamTaiwanese,andIreallymissedthesoundoftyphoons

    blowingthrough.

    Ireally

    missed

    it.

    Ishould

    have

    experienced

    at

    least

    one

    typhoonduringthethreeandahalfyears,right?Ingeneral,typhoonsfrequent

    Taiwanabouttentimesinayear,orsometimesevenuptotwentytimes.Some

    pass by Taiwan, some dont. A typhoon is called a hurricane in America.

    During the course of my retreat, typhoons always managed to change

    directionsawayfromTaiwan[audienceapplause].Once,anofficerworkingin

    customsattheairportfoundandmatchedthedateswhenIenteredandexited

    Taiwanwiththetyphoonhistory,andprovedthatduringthattimetherewas

    notone typhoon inTaiwan [audienceapplause].Whydid the typhoons turn

    away?By forming theMahamayurimudra,andhavingachievedunionwith

    Mahamayuri,youcan face the typhoonwith thepeacock feathersandchant

    theMahamayuriMantra 10,000 times [to turn the typhoon away]. You are

    probablythinking,Wouldntthetyphoonhavealreadycomeandgonebythe

    timeyoufinishedchantingthemantra10,000times[GrandMasterlaughs]?Its

    notlikethat.Youshouldchantthemantra10,000timesduringregulartimes,

    andwhenthetimecomes,chantOm,moyuli,geladi,soha,andcommand

    the typhoon todetour.Use thepeacock feathers to face the typhoon,andas

    longasyouhaveunitedwithMahamayuri,Mahamayurispowerwillawaken

    and the typhoonwill change course, and then turn towardJapan [audience

    laugh].We also have twomasters inJapan,Master LianhuaJingxiang and

    MasterLianchang,esteemedas theYellowPadmakumara. If theyalso recite

    the samemantra, and have also learned this sadhana, theymight turn the

    typhoonback to Taiwan [GrandMaster and audience laugh], thenwewill

    haveadharmaduel.See,wherecanthetyphoongo?Letsaskthetyphoonsto

    turnback toGuam,butDharmaBrotherHantao lives there.What ifhealso

    uniteswithMahamayuriandformsthesamemudra,hecanturnthetyphoon

    towards Saipan! So the typhoon can settle in Saipan. You can apply this

    method to change the directions of typhoons, or demand the receding of

    floodwaters. Ifyouwant touse this for fire, chant theMahamayuriMantra

    10,000 times, form the Mahamayuri mudra, face the fire and say,

    commandingthefiretoquicklyextinguish.Thentherewillbepouringrainfromthesky,orthewindwillblowthefiretowardssomewhereelse,andthe

    firewillbegone[audienceapplause].

    Thebig fire inCalifornia still has notbeen put out yet.After chanting the

    mantra10,000 times, the firemighthavedied itby itself [GrandMasterand

    audiencelaugh].Youshouldcomplete10,000timesonnormaldays.Then,you

    canperformtheritualbyformingthemudra.Thepeacockfeathersfunctionas

    asubjugation

    mudra

    to

    recede

    water,

    put

    out

    fires,

    turn

    away

    typhoons,

    and

    suppress earthquakes.This is theMahamayuriunion recitationpracticeand

    howitcanbeused.

    Isthereamethodtocounterthefinancialcrisis?Youmaybethinking,What

    aboutthemoneyIowe?Duringthefinancialcrisis,amancalledhisfriendin

    Taiwan, Buddy!Could you loanme $500,000US dollars? I lost all ofmy

    money in this financial crisis. The friend heard that he wanted $500,000

    dollars and answered, Speakmore clearly, I cant understandwhat youre

    saying[audiencelaugh].Ineedtoborrow$500,000!Iwasdevastatedbythe

    financial crisis. Im totallybroke. I need toborrow $500,000 from you for

    reinvestment.Doyougetit?$500,000!$500,000!Istillcanthearyouclearly.

    Canyouspeakmoreclearly?$500,000!Icanthearyouclearly!Finally,

    theTaiwaneseoperatorinterrupted,Ihearditquiteclearly.Thenthefriend

    inTaiwanresponded,Sinceyouheardhimclearly,youloanhimthemoney!

    So, what do you do in this case? Theres a solution. I will transmit the

    enrichment practice. The purpose of auspicious fruits is to enhance your

    wealth.Wewill use oranges to represent the auspicious fruits.You should

    offerorangestoMahamayuriaswellasrecitethemantra100,000times.Thatis

    90,000 times more than the subjugation practice. Money is hard to earn

    [audience laugh]! [Grand Master feigns complaining] The enrichment

    practice requires chanting the mantra 100,000 times! The subjugation of

    disastersonlyrequires10,000times.Thisis90,000moremantrarecitations.

    Typhoonscanruin[ourlives]injustthreeorfourdays,andthentheywillgo

    away.Watercausesdamageatmostforoneweek,andfirelastsforafewdays.

    However,theimpactofthefinancialcrisiscouldlingerforaseveralyears.You

    certainly have to recite at least ten times more to make 100,000 mantras.Therefore,ifyouwouldliketoenhanceyourwealth,oneshouldofferoranges,

    andcomplete100,000recitationsoftheMahamayuriMantra.Then,youshould

    eattheorangesyouoffered,andvisualizetheorangepeelstransforminginto

    millions ofUSdollars,withBenjamin Franklinsportrait on thebills.All of

    thembecomebillswithBenjaminFranklin on them, covering the entire sky

    andcarpetingthewholeground.Then,youshouldputtheorangepeelsunder

    your bed fortune will then ring your door bell. That is the enrichment

    practice[audience

    What is a bijapura? For a bijapura, we will use a pomegranate. The

    pomegranate has two tops, whereas regular fruits only have one. The

    pomegranate is red in colorwith slightlyprotruding tops.For thispractice,

    you shouldofferpomegranates and fulfill the 100,000 recitations.Then,you

    will eat allof the seeds, save thepeels,visualize thegirlyou like,hold the

    peels dearly to your chest and then shewill run into your arms [audience

    laugh].No,thatisnotwhatImeant.Youshouldputthepeelsunderyourbed

    aswell.Afterall,youcannotpossiblycarrythepeelsaroundeveryday,right?

    Putting the peels underneath your bed will enchant her to come to you.

    LianhuaBochangdidyouask[forawife]?GrandMasterblessedandfulfilledyourwish.Didyoucultivatethepomegranatepractice[audiencelaugh]?You

    musthaverecitedtheKurukullaorRagarajaMantra,andthatswhyitwasso

    effective.Mahamayurialsohas thesamepower.100,000 times!Whethermen

    likewomen,orwomenlikemen,youcanallchantthemantra.Letsdukeitout

    We sometimesperform thebardodeliverance and recite themantra for the

    deceased [in theSeattleTemple,]because thedeceaseddependsonmeritsof

    sutrastobedelivered.Ifyoufeelsomeyinornegativeenergyafterwards,asif

    some souls have followed you home, then it must be because you have

    offended them. Later on, you are unable to drink, eat, or sleep. Your

    complexionbecomesdark, and slowlyyoubecome tired, thin, andhaveno

    energy.Youdontwanttodoanything.Youbecomelethargicanddepressedas

    ifyouaresufferingfromdepression.Whatshouldyoudo?TheMahamayuri

    sadhanaincludesapracticeofPurificationofBodyandMind.Writethethree

    seed syllables,MO,YU,BAM theSanskrit seed syllablesareMA,YU,and

    VAM.Write these threeseedsyllables [onpaper],andburn them intoashes.

    Youthenmixtheasheswithwater.Afterdrinkingthemixedwater,yourbody

    andmindwillbepurified andpacified.Nomoredepression.Depression is

    gone. Gone [audience applause]. The practice of Purification of Body and

    Mind isveryeffective.ThepracticeGrandMaster is transmitting isgenuine,

    notsomethingfake.Itisntajoke.Ifyouhaveattainedyogicunion,aslongas

    you recite the mantra and perform the ritual, you will receive spiritual

    responses.Thispracticeisagenuinepractice,notafraudulentone.

    Iamnotlikesomeonewhoclaimstosellspeciallytrainedpolicedogsonthe

    internet,claimingthatthedogsweretrainedbythepoliceforce.Someonethen

    boughtadog fromhim.But,whenhe receivedhisorder,hediscovered that

    the dogwas a regular dog.Hewrote letters to and called the seller, You

    rippedme off!You said that youre selling police dogs,but you soldme a

    regulardog.Thesellerreplied,Onthesurface,itdoesnotlooklikeapolice

    dog,but it is indeed a police dog. It is an undercover police dog. [Grand

    Masterandaudience laugh.]Itwasdefinitelyascam.Swindlersarerampant

    inTaiwanand theyarealsospreadoutaround theworld.Youallhave tobe

    careful.Theyaresellingfake items,butwhatGrandMastersells isauthentic

    [audience applause]. A police dog is a police dog, I will not sell you anundercoverplainclothespolicedog[audienceapplause].

    Thereisalsoanexorcismpractice.Ifyourhomehasanyghosts,youcanusea

    vajrasceptertoexpelthem,butitshouldbeathreeprongedvajrascepter,not

    a fivepronged one.Japanhas them. ShingonBuddhismuses threepronged

    vajrasandtheonestheyuseareopenthreeprongedvajras,nottheclosedones.

    This is[GrandMasterholdsupavajra]aclosedfiveprongedvajra.InJapan

    theyuse

    the

    open

    five

    pronged

    vajra,

    while

    in

    Tibetan

    Buddhism

    they

    use

    closedprongedvajras.Get anopen threeprongedvajra, andput itonyour

    Mahamayuri shrine. While facing the threepronged vajra, chant the

    Mahamayuri Mantra and direct your chanting towards it. Om, moyuli,

    geladi, soha,om,moyuli,geladi, soha,om,moyuli,geladi, soha, for

    three consecutivenights.You should recite from11pmuntil sunrise, staying

    upfortheentirenight[audiencemurmursinsurprise].Youmaysleepduring

    thedaytime,andrecitethemantrafrom11pmuntilthenextmorningforthree

    consecutivenights.Thevajrawillbeeffectiveafterthreenights.Ifyouenshrine

    thevajrascepterinthehouseofsomeonethatshauntedbyghosts,thenallthe

    ghostsormonsterswillrunawayfromit.Thatistheexorcismpractice.

    Ihavementionedtheillnessremovingpracticebecausemanypeoplearesick.

    Illness is difficult to dealwith.Oneman suffered from a skin disease and

    soughtouthelpfromme,Iaskedhimhowlongheshadthisproblem,andhe

    replied,twentyyears.For twentyyearshehas tried allkindsof remedies

    andmedicine,seenallkindsofspecialistsindermatologyforhisskinproblem.

    Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. You could try the

    illnessremoving practiceby reciting the mantra 600,000 times [audience is

    shocked].That shouldbe sufficient.Getwhite sandalwoodandgrind it into

    powder,mixitwellwithhoneyandkneadthemixtureintopills.Aftermaking

    the pills, put them in front of your Mahamayuri shrine, and chant the

    MahamayuriMantra600,000timestowardsthesepills.Forthispersonwhose

    skindiseasecantbecured,havingseenallkindsofdermatologists,appliedall

    sortsoftopicalmedicine medicineappliedtotheskin andtakenallkindsof

    medicine,givehimoneofthepillstoingestandtakehisregularmedicineand

    itwillwork [audienceapplause].According to theMahamayuriSutra, itcan

    healhundredsoftypesofdiseases,andthis isnt limitedtoskindiseases,but

    anykind ofdisease or sickness.However, thismethodmayviolatemedical

    laws.Ifyou tellotherpeople that thispillcancureanything,andyouaccept

    peoplesmoney,thisviolatesmedicallaws,sobecareful!

    Ablendofwhitesandalwoodandhoneyisedible.Sandalwoodhasasoothing

    effect,andhoney isedible.Afterkneading them intopillsandblessing them

    withmantras,youcankeepthosepillsforyourself,orgivethemtoothersas

    gifts.Givingthemawayisfine,butyoushouldnotacceptmoneyfromothers

    for it. Ifyouchargepeople,youwillbe indangerofviolatingmedical laws.

    Youmustbemindful of legal issues,because those pills couldbe used for

    medicalpurposes.

    However,

    you

    can

    simply

    give

    those

    pills

    to

    others

    for

    soothingreasonsbecausetheyareedibleanyway.Thosepillsareempowered

    because of the mantras. Our pills are only blended with two ingredients,

    unlike theTibetanpills,which aremixedwithvarieties ofunknown herbal

    medicines.Milarepausedpowderedrustfromhisrustyhoe[forpills].Healso

    usedthepowderofgold,silver,copper,iron,andcombinationsofallsortsof

    herbalmedicines.Heblessed the nectar pillswithmantras. I have received

    manyboxesofpillsfromhighTibetanlamaswhentheyvisitedme.Thosepills

    werepackagedinboxes,coveredwithredcloth,andknottedwithfivecolored

    threads.Pills andpills,boxes andboxes. Ihave lost trackofhow long they

    havebeenjustsittingtherecollectingdust.Iamafraidofeatingthem[Grand

    Master laughs].Those longignored,oldpillsmayhavebeenmade from the

    rustofMilarepasrustyhoe.Whatifthesepillscontainheavymetals,Iwillbe

    doomedifIeatthemandlosemymemory.

    Weonlyusewhitesandalwoodandhoney.Sandalwoodhasacalmingeffect

    and honey is edible.After kneading them into pills, you should recite the

    mantra 600,000 times. According to the Mahamayuri Sutra, the pills can

    eliminateillnesses,sothisistheillnessremovingpractice.Manypeoplesuffer

    fromosteoporosis,cancer,diabetes,chronic illnesses,andevennowthereare

    RecitingtheMahamayuriMantrafacilitatesyogicunionwithMahamayuri,as

    themantraisabletounveilyourBuddhanature.Thephysicalbodyisnotvery

    advantageous. What is really beneficial to us is the revelation of our

    Buddhanature. It is critical to unite with Mahamayuri and reveal your

    Buddhanature.UponrecitingtheMahamayuriMantra600,000times,youwill

    definitelyberebornintheMahaTwinLotusPonds[audienceapplause].This

    themostimportantthing!InJapaneseShingonBuddhism,theprimepurpose

    of the Mahamayuri shrine is to protect their country; theirNational Peace

    CeremonyalsoreveresMahamayuriasthemaindeity.Mahamayurisadhanascan alsobeutilized for smallscalepurposes such as curingdiseases or [for

    largescale purposes, like] revealing your Buddhanature. Those are very

    important.Aslongasyoucultivateasinstructed,unitewithMahamayuri,and

    chantthemantra,yourwisheswillbefulfilled.

    Onemanwentmountain climbing,he exhausted allhis energy andhewas

    starving.Hewasalsolost.Ashewanderedaround,hetrippedoveramagical

    said,

    These

    days,

    people

    are

    very

    busy,

    and

    so

    am I [audience laugh].Dontbotherme toomuch. Iwillnotgrantyou three

    wishes,insteadIwillgiveyouonewish.Whatdoyouwant?Hewasstarving

    andlostinthemountains.Hewassohungrythathewasoutofstrengthand

    wasneardeath,sohesaid,IwantawifeThegeniereplied,Youreabout

    tostarvetodeathandyouwantawife?Fine,asyouwish.Thegenieconjured

    upabeautifyladyforhim,andimmediatelyvanishedintoairwithouthearing

    another word. The man actually didnt manage to finish his sentence. He

    wantedtosayIwantawifecake[audiencelaugh].Hedidntutteroutthe

    wordcakebeforethegenieleft.Timeshavechanged,youhavetohurryup

    and talk faster. Iwant awife cake,which is a famousand tastypastry in

    Taiwan.Afteryoueatthecake,youwillbefull.Then,youwouldhaveenergy

    toleavethemountain.Tothemanssurprise,thegeniereplied,Imtoobusy.

    Asyouwish,awifeforyou.Thenhedisappearedbeforethemansaidthelast

    wordcake.Heendedupstarvingtodeath.

    TheMahamayuriSadhanaGrandMastertransmittedtodayistofeedyouwith

    eightsofrecitation foronlyonesutra,orsevenhours to invokeonedeity. In

    addition,youalsohavetocallupontheSevenBuddhas,Maitreya,pratyekas,

    sravakas,EightHeavenlyGods, TwentyEightYaksas,Nine Luminaries and

    TwelveZodiacs.Then,youcanstarttorecitetheMahamayuriSutra. Finally,

    you can setup the shrineand invoke the retinue todescendand confer the

    empowerment. Bythattime,itwillalreadybetoolate.

    In summary, the sadhanas in our True Buddha School, like the recitation

    sadhana,areespeciallyfast,andtheyareeffective[audienceapplause].Iwill

    give each ofyou awife cake andyoullbe full, andyouwillbe energized.Everyone can cultivate, so everyonesdisease canbe cured and [everyones]

    wisheswillbe granted. TakeGrandMaster as an example,while I lived in

    seclusion for three and a half years in Taiwan, typhoons all turned away. I

    enteredTaiwanafterthearrivalofTyphoonXiangshen.Duringthethreeanda

    I taught theMahamayuriSadhanaat theSeattleTemple inAmerica.Youcan

    GrandMasters212thbook]tolearnmoreabouttheteachingsandprocedures.

    Youshouldbecontentwiththeeightymillionalready.ButIwilltopthatand

    reiteratethepithteachingsoftheMahamayuriSadhana.TheFourfoldRefuge

    of this sadhanadiffers from theone thatweare familiarwith.TheFourfold

    Refugewegenerally recite isas follows:Namogurubei,namobuddhaye,

    namo dharma ye, namo sangha ye. The corresponding version in the

    MahamayuriSadhana isNamogurubei, takingrefuge in the transmission

    root guru; Namo Mahamayuri, taking refuge in buddha; Namo theMahamayuriSutra, taking refuge in the scripturesofMahamayuri; Namo

    the Retinue of the Mahamayuri Assembly, taking refuge in the sangha

    communityandherentireentourage.

    AbovetheMahamayuriAssembly,therearetheSevenBuddhas.Inthecenter

    of the assembly, there is Maitreya Bodhisattva flanked with the

    pratyekabuddhas and sravakas on the left and right sides. The Eight

    HeavenlyKings,

    Twenty

    Eight

    Yaksas

    and

    all

    constellations,

    the

    Nine

    Luminaries,andtheTwelveZodiacs,arealltheattendantsofMahamayuri.

    MahamayuriisasambhogakayaofShakyamuniBuddha,astheBuddhaonce

    reincarnatedasthePeacockKinginapastlife.Thus,Mahamayuriisregarded

    as the sambhogakaya of Shakyamuni Buddha. Mahamayuri is also the

    nirmanakaya of Amitabha Buddha. As depicted in the Amitabha Sutra,

    jivanjivas,peacocks,parrots,andkalavinkasinhabittheWesternParadise.The

    residentpeacocksaremanifestedbyAmitabhaBuddha.

    Mahavairocana Buddhawears the fivebuddha crown and appears solemn.

    His face resembles that of Mahamayuri; actually, they are identical.

    Mahamayuri isanisyandakaya,an identicalembodiment,ofMahavairocana

    Buddha.Inanutshell,MahamayuriistheembodimentofthreeBuddhas.You

    mayhaveseenapeacockfeatherinsertedintheVajrayanaempowermentvase,

    which symbolizes that the empowerment vase is a representation of

    Mahamayuri. The empowerment vase embodies the manifestation of

    Mahamayuri.

    Most importantly,we shouldhave totalconcentrationwhenwepractice this

    sadhana. Every time we cultivate, we shouldbe fully immersed in it. We

    shouldnot take it lightlysuchascasuallychanting themantra,visualizing

    without a sincere attitude, or rushing in and out of samadhi. We should

    practiceinaccordancewiththeprocedures,onebyone,withoutbeingcareless

    ormissinganysteps.Furthermore,weshouldfocussinglemindedly.Someone

    oncewrotemeajoke,itgoeslikethis:Thereweretwoflies,amotherandher

    son,andtheywereeatingmanure.Thesonflyaskedthemotherfly,Whydo

    we eat this every day? The mother fly replied, Hush! Dont talk while

    eating.Themottoofthejokeistoconcentrateoneating.

    Weshouldapplythesameprincipletoourcultivation.Ifyouconcentrate,you

    willbe on the rightpath. Ifyoudont,your cultivationwillbe invain.Thefoundationofcultivationisbuiltonconcentration.

    Cultivation [beginswith] thepreliminary section, inwhichyou should fully

    concentrate.Thefocusedmindoughttobeextendedtotheconcludingsection

    of thecultivation.Thecriticalpart lies in themainsession. Iwillsummarize

    the main points for todays teaching. You should form the mudra like me

    [GrandMasterformsamudra].TherearetwoMahamayurimudras:oneisthe

    neifumudra

    [the

    internal

    handclasp

    mudra]

    and

    the

    other

    one

    is

    the

    waifumudra [externalhandclaspmudra].The waifumudramimics the

    flying motion of Mahamayuri, whereas the neifu mudra represents that

    Mahamayuri isat rest.Eitheroneof them is fine.You should first form the

    mudra, and then you should do the visualization. You would begin by

    visualizing emptiness. Visualize the [Sanskrit] seed syllable YU, which

    somewhat resembles a peacock, transforming into a peacock. Next, we

    visualizetheseedsyllableBAM[VAM inSanskrit] transforming intoawhite

    lotus flower.Lastly, theseedsyllableMO [MA inSanskrit] transforming into

    Mahamayuri. This is the visualization visualizing the emergence of

    Mahamayurifromemptiness.

    TheVajrayanasadhanastipulatesthatMahamayuristhirdeyechakraradiates

    abeamofwhitelightontoyourthirdeyechakra;herthroatchakraradiatesa

    beamof red lightontoyour throat,andherheartchakra radiatesabeamof

    blue light ontoyourheart chakra.The three raysof light completelypurify

    yourbody,speech,andmind.Afterthat,youcanchantthemantra.Chantthis

    mantraafter thevisualization:Om,moyuli,garladi,soha.Theji [Chinese

    crucial.

    We have talked about entering samadhi. If you can enter samadhi, you can

    attainyogicunion.Ifyoucannotentersamadhi,thenyoucannotattainyogic

    union. Itsas simpleas that.What is thedifference?Onehasachievedyogic

    union,whiletheotherhasnot.Someonewroteajokethatgoeslikethis:

    XiaoMingwenthomeandsaidtohisfather,Todaymymathteacherhitme.

    Hisdadasked,Whydidtheteacherhityou?

    Myteacheraskedme,Whatisthreetimestwo?

    Hisdadasked,Whatwasyouranswer?Irepliedthatthreetimestwoissix.

    Hisdadsaid,Thatscorrect,verygood!

    XiaoMingthensaid,ThenmyteacheraskedmeWhatistwotimesthree?

    Hisdadthenretorted,Damn!Whatsthedifference?[TheChinesetermfor

    Damnistamade].

    XiaoMingreplied,ThatwasexactlywhatIsaid.

    Youcannot

    howareyou?[ma,nihao]arereally[similar],sothereisntmuchdifference.

    Butitsoutrageoustosaydamn[tamade]likethefathersaid.

    Thedifferencelieshere.Ifyouwereoriginallyabletounite[withyourdeity],

    whyarentyouabletodoitanymore?Youmustbeseechthedeitytounitewith

    you.Therearemanymethods for that.Youmustpurify thedharmavessel

    you.Ourphysicalbodyisadharmavessel,whichcannotbeconcealed.Didyou

    knowthat?Ifyousealthedharmavessel,youcloseyourhearttothissadhana.

    If you dontbelieve in this sadhana, then you should not practice it. The

    dharmavesselthatisplacedlikeanupsidedownbowlcanneitherunitewitha

    deitynorreceivedharmamilk[whichnourishesspiritualnature].Youcannot

    attainyogicunioninthisway.

    Adharmavesselcannotbebrokeneither.Whywoulditbebroken?Itisbecause

    youoftenviolateprecepts.Youfailtoabidebytheprecepts,preceptssuchas

    the Bodhisattva Vows, the Monastic Precepts, the Five Precepts, the Eight

    Precepts [of serious lay Buddhists], or any of the Ten Precepts. You didnt

    followanyoftheprecepts,soyouareabrokendharmavessel.

    Thepouringofthedharmamilkentersintoyou,Ruwo,thedeityenteringinto

    you,willimmediatelysensethatyouareabrokenvessel,andthedharmamilk

    willleakaway.Thatisanothercaseoffailedyogicunion.

    There is still another type of failure to achieve yogic union. This particular

    dharmavesselisnotfractured,anditfacesupwardduetoonesfaith.Itdoes

    nothave any cracks.However, as soon as thedharmamilk flows into it, it

    becomesdirty.Yourheartisdirty,andyourthoughtsarefilthy,soyoucannot

    enterthestateofRuwoWoru.Apartfromthesethreefaults[ofnotbelieving

    inthesadhana,notfollowingtheprecepts,andhavingadirtyheartandmind],

    youcanbeinfusedwiththebrillianceofthebuddhasandbodhisattvas.

    Every time I practice a sadhana, I always attain union. Every session of

    cultivation I do is successful, and I am energizedwith the dharma stream

    everysingletime.Ifyoupracticeasadhanaandachieveyogicuniononce,then

    youshouldachieve itduringyournextpractice,and thesessionafterthatas

    well,aslongasyoupracticeasinstructed.Onceyourbody,speech,andmind

    arepurified,you can attainunionwithout adoubt.Makenomistake about

    that.Many

    people

    have

    practiced

    for

    ten,

    twenty,

    even

    forty

    years,

    and

    some

    havepracticedfortheirwholelives,buttheyhaveneverexperiencedthestate

    ofunion.Why is that?Youhavemademistakes.What is themistake?First,

    youdont concentrate.Second,yourbody isdirty,your speech is filthy,and

    your thoughts aredefiled.You have committed offenses. It is impossible to

    reach unionwith a filthy heart and defiled thoughts.As soon as themilk

    streamsdown,itbecomesdirty,oritleaksthroughthecracks.Itisimpossible

    toachieveunioninthatway.Theattainmentofyogicunionisattributedtothe

    purificationofbody,speech,andmind.Youmustfortifyyourfaithinthedeity,

    youmust concentrate,youmustnotviolateprecepts, andyoumust cleanse

    yourthoughts.

    Therewasadoctorwhodinedoutatarestaurant.Whileservingthedoctorby

    takinghisorder,thewaiterkeptrubbinghisbottomwithoneofhishands.The

    doctornoticedthisandasked,Doyouhavehemorrhoids?Thewaiterreplied,

    Pleasesir,justorderwhatwehaveonthemenu.Wedonthavehemorrhoids

    here.Whatwasgoingon? Itwas amiscommunication.Thedoctormade a

    mistake.Thewaitersbottomwas itchy,but thedoctor thought that he had

    hemorrhoids.Thewaiteralsomisunderstood thedoctor.He thought that the

    doctorhadorderedhemorrhoids.Itturnedoutnottobethecase,sothewaiter

    alsomessedup.Itturnedouttobeamessuponthewaiterspart.Hethought

    thatthedoctorwantedtoorderhemorrhoids,whichdidntexist[onthemenu].

    Ivetoldthisjokebefore.Two loverswerecuddlingtogether,andthewoman

    whisperedtotheman,Ihaveabitofaheadache.Themanrespondedwitha

    peckonherforeheadandaskedAreyoufeelingbetter?Thewomanreplied,

    A littlebit.She thensaid,Myshouldersaresore.Themanmovedcloser

    andkissedhershoulders,Areyoufeelingbetter?Yes,abitbetter.Anold

    Buddha as Lord Buddha for his unlimited compassion. Your dharmakaya is

    endowedwiththetranquilityofnirvanareferstotheSupremeTruth.Yourpower

    andabilitiesareboundlessatteststohereffectiveness.WhatdoesAndallofyour

    meritsandvirtuesareperfectinclude?Doyouknow?Itcontainsperfectmerits

    andvirtuesofcompassion,greatcompassion,emptiness,andthegreattantras.

    Allbuddhasandbodhisattvashaveboundlesspower.Greatcompassionisan

    expedientmeans,and itsnature isemptiness.Thesetwoaddupandbecome

    essence, form, and function. The essence or the primal essence is the

    Buddhanature; the form is the identical form of Shakyamuni Buddha;

    function refers to great power. Achieving all merits and virtues is most

    supreme.

    Asweknow,theFourarmedMahamayuriiscapableofsubjugationwithher

    peacock feather. The peacock feather is used for subjugation purposes.

    Mahamayuri can also pacify with a white lotus flower, attract love and

    harmonywithabijapura,and enhancewealthwith anauspicious fruit.Her

    armsconductthefourkarmarituals:pacification[purification],harmonization,

    enhancementandsubjugation,withnopracticemissing.Therefore,practicing

    the Mahamayuri Sadhana is equivalent to cultivating pacification,

    harmonization, enhancement, and subjugation. She is capable of

    accomplishingthefourmajortypesofVajrayanapractices.

    IfyoucanunitewithMahamayuri,youcanalso flybypracticing theFlying

    Sadhana. Iwilldetail theFlying Sadhana today,which Ididnt teach at the

    Whatisgoingon?Sometimesinonenight,GrandMastercanvisitahundred

    studentsintheirdreams,orimpartteachingstoathousandstudents[audience

    applause].How can Ido that?Nomatterhow faryou are, I can reachyou.

    Why?As long as there are stars in the skywhereyou are, I can enteryour

    dreams.This is thesecret[audienceapplause].AfterMahamayurienters into

    myheartchakraandsitsonthelotusfloweronmyheart,Ivisualizethedeity

    shrinking andbeing elevated to the crown chakraby pushing the qi that I

    developedfromtheTreasureVaseQiYoga.By[visualizingthedeity]sittingon

    theheartchakra,youhavealreadymergedwiththeBuddhanatureofGrand

    Master and Mahamayuri. That is a manifestation. Then, you push

    MahamayuritoemptinesswiththeTreasureVaseQi.Thedeitywillabsorbthe

    starlight,thestarsbrilliance,mergingwiththestarsatnight.TheMahamayuri

    intheemptinessisanemanationofGrandMaster.

    SoImtellingeveryonethatifyoupracticethissadhana,youcancultivateyour

    own emanation: appealingMahamayuri to enter and reside on your heart,

    unitingyourselfwith thedeity as one entity, exertingyourprimordialqi to

    send Mahamayuri into emptiness, and then merging yourself with the

    starlightonthesky.Ifyourepeattheprocessahundredtimes,thenyouwill

    have a hundred emanations [audience applause]. If you repeat a thousand

    times,youwillhavea thousandemanations [audienceapplause].Appearing

    indisciplesdreamswithanemanation is called starlightemanation in the

    dream,which is amanifestationoutsideofmyphysicalbody, the starlight

    emanationthatvisitsyouindreams[audienceapplause].

    Therefore,GrandMasteroncelostfiftystarlightemanationsduringthehoma

    thatIconductedforthe88Floodvictims[amajornaturaldisasterinTaiwan

    onAugust8th,2009].IsacrificedfiftystarlightemanationsofPadmakuamra.

    However,thefiftystarlightemanationswererestoredbyfiftysadhanasessions

    [audienceapplause].Thatisthereasonwhythebuddhasandbodhisattvascanfulfillyourdreams,becausetheyareeverywhere,ineverysinglecorner.They

    can realize thedreamsofallTrueBuddha students [audienceapplause].No

    onewillbemissed.Aslongasyoucanattainunion,GrandMasterwillappear

    beforeyou.Ihavesaidbefore,thebuddhasandbodhisattvaswillalsoappear

    toyou.Notjustindreams,butevenintherealworld,wewillappearbothin

    yourdreamsandinreallife[audienceapplause].Thatisfulfilling.Wefollow

    Buddhism because it is fulfilling. We call Shakyamuni Buddha the World

    HonoredOne

    because

    he

    is

    honored

    by

    the

    people

    of

    the

    world

    [audience

    applause].Thatisveryimportant.

    TheTrueBuddhaTantraandVajrayanaarequite fulfilling.Notonlydo they

    answer your mundane wishes, but they also grant your transcendental

    aspirations.Theyalsohelppeople live inpeaceandharmony,andarequite

    perfect.Hereisajokethatsomeonewrote,soitsnotmine.Thereoncewasa

    bear, rabbit, and a chickenwhoplayedhappily together.They thought that

    theyshouldcomeupanicknameforeachother,andthiswillbringthemcloser

    together.Thebear said,YoucancallmeLittleXiongxiong [little cub].The

    rabbit added, You can callmeLittleTutu [littlebunny].The chicken then

    groanedandsaid,Iamnotplayinganymore![audienceburstoutlaughing;

    this is another Chinese pun, where the logical progression of the naming

    schemewouldhave left thechickenwith thenicknamelittlepenis].Think

    aboutit,ifoneofthreedoesntwanttoplayanymore,itwillnotbeperfector

    fulfilling.Ifyouhavefourpeople,andoneofthemdoesntwanttoplay,then

    youcannotplaymahjong.

    Therefore, the essential nature ofVajrayana is perfect, and its sadhanas are

    fulfilling.Worldlysadhanasareregardedasexpedientmethods,whereas the

    transcendental sadhanas are categorized as fulfillment stages. Ideally,both

    worldly and transcendental sadhanas would be accomplished. Vajrayana

    sadhanas are fulfillingpractices. Sadhanas that fulfillmundanewishes exist

    because of great compassion. Transcendental sadhanas exist because of

    emptiness, the Supreme Truth,withboth types of sadhanasbeing fulfilled.

    Great compassion, emptiness, and The Scriptural Text of theRitual of the

    GreatKingoftheTeaching,theAdamantineOnewithGreatCompassionand

    KnowledgeoftheVoid[theChineseHevajraTantra]constitutesShriHevajra.

    Mahamayuricanachieveperfectlybothworldlyandtranscendentalsadhanas.

    I have mentioned that Mahamayuri can suppress earthquakes. Taiwan hasmany earthquakes, and so does Indonesia.Master Lianzhe can practice the

    EarthquakeSuppressionSadhana. If thereareearthquakes in the future,you

    can look for him. There is also the enhancement practice to increase your

    wealth.As far aswealth is concerned, Prithvi andMountainGods are the

    richestdeitiesonland.Therefore,wehavethePrithviSadhanaandMountain

    GodsSadhana.TheDragonKingistherichestintheocean,andwealsohave

    theDragonKingTreasureVaseSadhana.Therichestdeitiesintheheavensare

    noneother

    than

    the

    Four

    Heavenly

    Kings,

    and

    we

    have

    the

    Yellow

    Jambhala

    Sadhana. Yellow Jambhala [or Vaisravana] is the richest in the heavens.

    Therefore,wealthgodstemplesareboominginTaiwan.Therichestbeingsare

    actuallyPrithvi,MountainGods,theDragonKing,theFourHeavenlyKings,

    andtheEightHeavenlyKings.Theyareloaded!Theyaretherealwealthgods,

    whiletherestarejustminorwealthgods.Therefore,thewealthgodofTaiwan

    Leizang Temple is a greatwealth god [audience applause]. The rest of the

    wealth gods areminorwealth gods. If youwantmoney, you should go to

    TaiwanLeizangTemple.MasterLianzai is theassistantabbot. Ifyouask for

    wealth,hepracticesthewealthgodpractices.Ifyoudontbecomerich,golook

    forhim!

    As far as magnetization or harmonization sadhanas are concerned, Grand

    MasterhastransmittedtheKurukullaSadhanaandtheRagarajaSadhana.By

    chantingthemantraorconductingtheRagarajahomaorKurukullahoma,you

    willbe lovedandrespected[audienceapplause].Thepeachfloweror love

    thatwewant is an abundance of love luck, not someminor love luck.An

    abundanceofloveluckiswellreceivedandlovedbyallsentientbeings.Ifyou

    havegoodaffinitywithsentientbeings,whenyoudebut,orgetofftheplane,

    thecrowdwillwelcomeyou.Whenyouareabout todepart, thecrowdwill

    sendyouoff.Thesecelebrities,politicians,entertainerscangainpopularityor

    socialstatusbycultivatingtheKurukullaSadhanaorRagarajaSadhana.Heor

    shewillbe loved immensely.Sothosepeoplerunning inelections,remember

    this! Election! In this democratic era, we should vote for the virtuous and

    talented.Ifyouareelected,youmusthaveanirresistiblelovelucktomagnetize

    peopletosupportyou.Ifyouaspiretobeapolitician,youshouldpracticethe

    KurukullaSadhanaorRagarajaSadhana.Yourwillhaveanabundanceoflove

    luck.

    ThereoncewasapersonwhocametoseemeattheSeattleTemple,andItaught

    him the Kurukulla Sadhana. He returned home and recited the KurukullaMantra diligently until hebecame a legislator and then later hebecame a

    countymagistrate.Afterawhile,he stopped chanting themantra, so things

    wentdownhill.Really,ifyouhaveplentyofloveluck,youcanbecomealeader

    orafamousstarlikeJayChou.Amongourmasters,MasterLianmingisafan

    ofJayChou.Remember,onemustpracticetheKurukullaSadhanaorRagaraja

    Sadhana.Withjustaflingofyourhair,yourfanswillbescreaming,fainting,

    wowingandwhooping.Thesepeoplecanbecategorizedasagroupies.Do

    youknow

    what

    groupies

    are?

    If

    you

    dont,

    that

    is

    okay.

    Current

    celebrities,

    leaders,famousstarsarealllinkedtoKurukullaandRagaraja.Ifyouwantthe

    sameaffinity,youshouldpracticethemagnetizationpractice.Youtwo(Master

    LianzheandMasterLianzai)shouldberesponsible.Thepeacockfeatherisfor

    subjugation,whichIwonttalkabouttoday.

    Cultivatorsshouldusewisdomonanymatter.Knowledge isknowing,right?

    Wisdom is called prajna. When the sun was shiningbright, Grand Master

    formed a sword mudra, and chanted, Maha prajna paramita, om mani

    padami hum, trili, quickly block the sun! I recited like that [audience

    applause].

    We shouldhavewisdom toclearly identify theguruyou take refugeunder.

    Afterthat,youshouldwholeheartedlyfollowtheguruspath.Hewilltransmit

    all sadhanas, including theworldly and transcendental ones. The guru can

    unitewithdeities,achieveattainment,transformoutsideofthephysicalbody,

    appearinyourdreams,fulfillyourwishes,unitewithyou,andhelpyourealize

    theSupremeTruth theSupremeTruthoftheTathagata.Withintheteachings

    theBuddha taught, therewere four typesof teachings: the first typewason

    properhumanconduct; thesecond typewasonperforminggooddeeds; the

    third type was on subduing greed, anger, and ignorance with precepts,

    meditation,andwisdom;andthefourthtypewasontheSupremeTruth.Grand

    Masteriswellversedonallfourtypesofteachings[audienceapplause].

    What is a shang shi [This is the Chinese term for a Vajrayana master,

    equivalent to the Tibetan term lama and Indian term guru]?What is a

    vajramaster?Vajrawillneverchange itscolorandform.What isshang?

    Shangissupremeandultimate,whatShakyamuniBuddharealizediscalled

    theUnexcelledPerfectEnlightenment, and there isno teaching that ismore

    profoundandenlighteningthanthat.Ourvajramasterswillnotchangeshape

    or color, and there isnomaster that isbetter than avajramaster [audienceapplause].Therefore,youshouldusewisdomtoidentifyandfindagoodguru,

    and follow thegurus teachingswithundividedattention,and thenyouwill

    naturallyattainworldlyaswellastranscendentalaccomplishments[audience

    applause].

    Everyone shouldhavewisdom,butwisdom isnotknowledge.Therewas a

    superintendentwhowasarepresentativeoftheDepartmentofEducation.We

    usedto

    call

    this

    position

    dushen,

    but

    now

    it

    is

    called

    duxue.

    The

    superintendantaskedonestudent,Whoburneddown theEpangPalace [or

    EpangGong]?Whodidit?Astudentstoodupandanswered,Notme!The

    superintendentfeltthestudentreallylackedbasicknowledge.Whatisgoing

    on?Howdidtheystudyhistory?Whatamess.Thesuperintendenttookthe

    studenttoseetheprincipalandtoldtheprincipal,Iaskedhimwhoburned

    theEpangPalace?andhereplied thathedidntdo it.Theprincipalagreed,

    He is right.Hewas not involved in that case.The real culprit is someone

    else. The superintendent sighed, Ah, this principal also lacks basic

    knowledge.So,thesuperintendentdecidedtotaketheissuetotheheadofthe

    DepartmentofEducation.Afterhearingthestory,theheadoftheDepartment

    ofEducationsaid,Ah,thestudentsaidthathedidntburnthePalace.Itwas

    indeedtrue.Theprincipalalsoreconfirmedandsupportedhim.Itwasnothim.

    Itwassomeoneelse.Thesuperintendentheard thatandconcluded,Forget

    aboutthat.Thatsnotthepoint.LetsallocatesomefundstobuildanewEpang

    Palace.The studentdidntknowwhoburneddown thepalace,andneither

    did theprincipalnor theheadoftheDepartmentofEducation.Whoburned

    down theEpangPalace? In fact, Idontknoweither.According tohistory, it

    ABuddhistshouldhavewisdomtoclearlyrecognizeaguru,aprincipaldeity,

    and adharmaprotector.As long asyou canpurifyyourbody, speech, and

    mind,andyoucanfullyengageinTrueBuddhasadhanas,youwilleventually

    attainyogicunion.Iwillalsotellallofyouthataslongasyouunitewithone

    deity,youwillbeabletounitewithotherdeitieslikeMahamayuri.Unitewith

    one,unitewithall.Failtounitewithone,failtounitewithall.Thatisavery

    importantpoint.

    adispersal;

    if

    health,

    there

    is

    sickness;

    if

    there isbirth, there isdeath; if there is youth, there is old age.You should

    observecauseandeffectandtheTwelveLinksofDependentOrigination.You

    will discover the path of liberation,which is the path of the Emptiness of

    DependentOrigination.
