The Series 75 manually operated pinch valve is the number-oneselling pinch valve in the world today. The Series 75 is areliable, maintenance-free, cost-effective valve designed fortough slurries, abrasives, and corrosive-chemical applications.The Series 75 full port design eliminates any dead spots orcrevices, seats or bearings where slurry can hang up and impairoperation or even cause complete valve failure.

The principle of design is very simple, with few moving parts.Two mechanical pinch bars open and close the elastomersleeve. The heart of this unique valve is the durable, flexiblerubber sleeve which is reinforced with high-strength fabric. Thesleeve, which is the only part of the valve exposed to the lineprocess, eliminates maintenance and the need for expensive,exotic body materials. Valve operation will not freeze andoperating torques remain constant, even if the valve hasremained in the open or closed position for years, making itideal for pump isolation.

Series 75 Pinch Valves have the same face-to-face as gate, plug,or ball valves, ANSI 16.10 up to 6" sizes. Sizes 8", 10", 12"available ANSI 16.10 with Cone Sleeves.

The Series 9000 high-pressure manual pinch valve isdesigned with ANSI Class 300 flange drilling. Theheavy-duty elastomer sleeves are reinforced with highstrength nylon, polyester fabrics, or Kevlar® material.Several heavy-duty sleeve designs are available. Theelastomer sleeve will close even on solids, and theflexing action of the sleeve eliminates the possibility ofscaling. Two heavy-duty pinch bars close the sleeve.All valve working parts are isolated from the process bythe sleeve. Combining these features with a sealed bodydesign and no packing to maintain results in a simple,rugged, no-hang-up, maintenance-free valve.

Several bevel gear actuators are available for On/Offmanual operation.

In order to accomodate the higher working pressuredesign, the valve is normally sized one size larger toallow for the thick double wall high pressure sleeve. Asshown on the chart below, a 6" port size valve requires a8" flange body size. Series 9000 designs are also avail-able in ANSI Class 150 designs, and are available withpneumatic, electric, or hydraulic actuators.

The Series 75 has excellent control characteristics and canbe used as a throttling manualcontrol valve. By simplyturning the handwheel,operators can fine-tune thevalve position to maintain aconstant rate of flow; fewmanual valves have thisthrottling advantage. Zeroleakage is maintained bi-directionally.

Series 70 Series 75BOur Series 70 Manual Pinch Valve is the counterpart tothe unique Series 75 and has the same design featuresand advantages, but the heavy cast iron housing iseliminated and a strong fabricated steel body is in itsplace. The Series 70 is less costly, lighter, more versa-tile, and can be used when the location of the valve isnot exposed to attack from corrosives or other volatilematerial.

The Series 70 is available in the same sizes and dimen-sions as the Series 75. Special face-to-face dimensionsare available.

The standard body material is fabricated carbon steel.Sleeve materials include: Pure Gum Rubber, Neoprene,Buna-N, Butyl, Hypalon, EPDM, and Viton®.

Operation of the Series 70 is the same as the Series 75,utilizing double pinch bars to compress the flexiblerubber sleeve from above and below, closing simulta-neously on centerline when the handwheel is turned.

The Series 75B manually operated Pinch Valve is areliable, maintenance-free, cost-effective valve designedfor tough slurries and abrasive and corrosive chemicalapplications below ground. This intrinsically safe PinchValve, which was developed specifically for under-ground service, is sealed with an epoxy coating and canbe supplied with an above ground position indicator forinstant identification if the valve is open, closed, or is inthe throttled position. There are no seats to grind, nostuffing boxes to repack, and no packing gland to adjust,ever, with the Series 75B. The pinching action is oncenterline so the valve closes on a smooth venturi and isself-cleaning.

The heart of this unique valve is the durable, flexiblerubber sleeve which is reinforced with high strengthfabric. The sleeve, which is the only part of the valveexposed to the proccess, eliminates maintenance and theneed for expensive, exotic body materials. Additionally,valve operation will not freeze and operating torquesremain constant.

Series 75B PinchValves have thesame face-to-face asgate, plug, or ballvalves, ANSI 16.10up to 6" size; sizes8", 10" and 12" areavailable to ANSI16.10 face-to-facewith a Cone Sleeve.

Fugitive Emissions Control — Emissions-Tight Package

Red Valve’s emissions-tight package, the ET Package,provides a low-cost solution for fugitive emissions. TheET Package provides a secondarycontainment, complete with a stemseal and body seal gaskets. The ETPackage also includes a standardpressure gauge for local indication,or an optional transmitter or switchwhich will send a remote signal inthe event of a pressure change inthe valve body, automaticallyindicating the detection of a leak.

Bevel GearsAre for high pressure serviceor large diameter valves.Suggested on all valves over6" diameter and above 75 psi.Standard WBG-16 1600 ft.-lb. 4:1 gear ratio with wheelaxis parallel to pipe axis.
