Gender Care Initiative (GCI) – Lagos State
What they did: Advocacy visits to Lagos Ministry of Health (MOH)
What they achieved: The Lagos State MOH agreed to partner with GCI and invited the organization
to participate in the next immunization plus exercise week
Next steps: Organize activities in partnership with Lagos State Ministry of Health during the
immunization plus exercise week 21st – 26th of April 2017

Women’s Initiative for Self-Actualization –Akwa Ibom State
What they did: One day training for staff of WAVA members in Akwa Ibom
What they achieved: Capacity building of staff on sustainable immunization financing and advocacy.
Next steps:
• Conduct a baseline survey to gather enough data and information on the current immunization status in AkwaIbom State
• Develop a Fact sheet to enhance engagement with stakeholder
• Conduct an advocacy meeting twice with key representatives
• Organize a one day (each senatorial district) round table meeting with media and other key stakeholders in three senatorial district
• Conduct a Bi - Monthly meetings and follow up visit to stakeholders
• Conduct end of the project meeting with project team and key stakeholder
Project objectives:• To secure a level of funding needed to achieve
enough vaccines and strengthen immunization services in Akwa Ibom State
• To ensure equitable and sustainable immunization services through engagement with key stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State
• To promote advocacy on immunization financing to key stakeholders

Name of Project: Youth Advocacy for Sustainable and Equitable Vaccine Access (YASEVA)
What they did: Engaged other CSOs as implementing partners for advocacy on vaccine financing
What they achieved: Five CSOs in FCT and three CSOs in Enugu agreed to partner with AfrYPoD in advocating for vaccine financing
Next Steps:
• Develop YASEVA Advocacy Guide for youth advocates
• Develop YASEWA debate guide
• Conduct one day workshop for youth advocated
• Continue preparations for school debate
