St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon
On Tuesday, March 17th, come celebrate St.
Patrick’s Day with corned beef sandwiches
and cole slaw served at 11:30. Entertainment
will be by Monroe’s very own Loretta Egan Murphy,
who will be playing traditional Irish music on the accor-
dion and concertina. Lunch reservations must be made in
person with the $5.00 cash payment by Friday, March
13th at noon.
Balance Screening Select Physical Therapy will be here Tuesday,
March 3rd, at 10:00 am for a FREE balance
screening. Learn your risk and decrease it with exercises
and stretching designed with you in mind to prevent falls,
get stronger, gain flexibility and promote your overall

Come enjoy this musical twist with your favorite
game. Put your skills to the test while you ‘name

Legal Roundtable with Linda Eliovson
On March 19th at 6:00 pm, join Attorney
Eliovson for a legal roundtable discussing pro-
bate and estate administration. She will review
the probate process, explain the consequences of not having
a will, and avoiding probate. Bring your questions for a
beneficial discussion.
AARP Driver Safety Course Sign up for AARP’s Driver Safety Course.
The class will be held on Tuesday, March
10th, 9:00-1:00, AARP members’ fee is $15.00; non

SWCAA Information Session for Senior Related
Programs Join Katie Regan, the Community Resources Manager, of
the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging and Independent
Living, to learn about the various programs offered and
coordinated through SWCAA. These programs can help
you or a loved one maintain and improve the quality of
your life in the community. Many services are provided
free or at a sliding scale. The session will take place on
March 11th at 1:00 pm. Please sign up!

History Series—Mikhail Gorbachev Join Art Gottlieb, LCSW, CSA, on Tuesday, March 10th, at
1:00 pm to learn about Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, the
last leader of the Soviet Union. Although committed to the
preservation of the Communist State, Gorbachev is remem-
bered for ushering a new era of reforms not previously tol-
erated in the Soviet Union.
Caregiver’s Series: Parent-Child Role Reversal While it is natural and expected to take a position of authority
and responsibility towards one’s own children, it is un-natural
and awkward to assume such control over one’s parents. It is a
role many adult children are emotionally unprepared for. This program will discuss common situations that are encountered
between caregivers, parents and siblings as senior’s safety and
well-being is increasingly in the hands of adult children. Join
Art Gottlieb, LCSW, CSA, for this discussion on Tuesday,

Monroe Passport Club for Monroe Residents The Board of Education offers free admission to most sport-
ing events, musical concerts and theatre productions with
the passport club. Applications are on the bulletin board in
