Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD).
▶CEI-RD is the official agency responsible for the promotion of exports and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
- To promote the Dominican Republic in the international markets for goods and services;
-To offer technical and policy assistance to improve new markets, identify new products with potential for exportation and enhance competitiveness;
-To support export promotion and expansion for sustained economic development in the Dominican Re-public;
- To support capacity-building efforts of Dominican policy-makers and entrepreneurs to attract interna-tional investment.

Export Promotion Strategy: Dominican Republic Experience.
•KSP for the Dominican Republic began in June 2006.
•The Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) selected the Dominican Republic as the first beneficiary country for the KSP in Latin Amer-ica.

•Provision of assistance through capacity building and competitiveness enhancement of working-level officials involved in the mission;
•Support capacity-building efforts of Dominican poli-cymakers and entrepreneurs to facilitate the pro-motion of export’s and sustained economic devel-opment in the Dominican Republic.

Project Background KSP I-VI.
KSP I (2008): •A comprehensive policy advisory service was carried out for the export development policy of the Dominican Republic.
KSP II (2009): •Policy advisory services concentrated on the construction of structural infrastructure in order to improve SOC for export promotion and modernization of the power system, among others.
KSP III (2010): •Efforts were concentrated on the export financing sector in order to support the establishment of an Export Credit Agency (ECA) in the Dominican Republic.

KSP IV (2011):• Aimed at export credit capacity building and ex-
port industry promotion for the Dominican Repub-lic.
KSP V (2012): • Provided continued support for export credit ca-
pacity building as well as a training courses.
KSP VI (2013):
• Policy advisory services concentrated on:• - Follow-up support in launching DEXIM for Export
Credit Capacity Building of the Dominican Republic; • - Improvement of Food Quality System by establish-
ment of DFRI (Dominican Food Research Institute) in Dominican Republic;
• - Establishment of the CIBAO Trade Center in the Dominican Republic.
