The County House in Martin was built around the year 1740. There were some offices of the District Nastional Committee. It was originally two-storeyed building, later there was built another storey and the exterior of the front buiding was arranged in the style of classicism. The building 's eastern façade turned into the square and the longer front of the building led to Daxner Street.Okolo roku 1740 bol postavený župný dom, v ktorom neskôr boli úrady ONV. Budova bola pôvodne jednoposchodová, len neskôr nadstavili aj druhé poschodie a upravili jej fasádu v klasickom slohu. Budova je východným priečelím obrátená do námestia, dlhším priečelím je postavená do Ulice Daxnerova.

The Slovak National Museum was built from 1929 to1932 and designed by the Slovak architect Harminec .Slovenské národné múzeum bolo postavené v r. 1929 - 1932 podľa projektu slovenského architekta M. M. Harminca.

ATICE SLOVENSKEJNew building of the Slovak Mother was was originally built as the seat of the Slovak Mother in Martin. Due to historical developments and considering the historical importance of Martin in cultural and political history of Slovakia it was built as the third headquarters building of the Slovak Mother. The new building is the dominancy of our town which is placed in the part of Martin called Hostihora. The building is owned by the Slovak Republic and today it is administered by the Slovak National Library which has been settled here since 2005.

Nová budova Matice slovenskej je budova pôvodne postavená ako sídlo Matice slovenskej v Martine.Vďaka historickému vývoju a vzhľadom na historický význam mesta Martin v kultúrnych a politických dejinách Slovenska bola postavená ako tretia budova sídla Matice slovenskej. Nová budova tvorí v meste dominantu, pričom jej umiestnenie na vyvýšenom mieste Hostihory to len umocňuje. Budova je vlastníctvom Slovenskej republiky v súčasnosti v správe Slovenskej národnej knižnice, ktorá v nej sídli od roku 2005.

EŤAThe first building of the Slovak National Museum was built between 1906 - 1908 according to the plans prepared by M. M. Harminec . There were the collections of the Museum Society placed here. Since 1964 it has been the seat of the regional museum. It was named after the founder of the Slovak care of museums Andrej Kmet . This building was renovated in the years 1972 - 1975 and it belongs to the national cultural heritage now.Budova prvého Slovenského národného múzea - postavená v rokoch 1906 – 1908 podľa plánov M. M. Harminca. Boli v nej umiestnené zbierky Muzeálnej spoločnosti. Od roku 1964 - sídlo regionálneho vlastivedného múzea. Bola pomenovaná po zakladateľovi slovenkého múzejníctva Andrejovi Kmeťovi. Budovu v rokoch 1972 – 1975 renovovali a dnes je národnou kultúrnou pamiatkou.

ARTINAIt is the Catholic Church in the centre of

our town Martin. In the middle of 15th century, it was firstly expanded so-called south chapel, which was completed in 1462. Then the north chapel was completed in 1953. There is also an arch dated by the inscription above the altar .V polovici 15. storočia rozšírený najskôr južnou tzv. jahodníckou kaplnkou, ktorá bola dokončená v r. 1462, potom severnou tzv. priekopskou kaplnkou dokončenou v r. 1953 sieťovou klenbou /datovaná nápisom nad oltárom/.
