Asking For Help

The Beatitudes praise the poor in spirit. One characteristic of those who are poor in spirit is their ability to ask for help; they know when others can provide what they lack. Today’s readings encourage us to practice poverty in spirit by asking God for what we need. What could be more natural than to ask God for good things? God is, after all, the inventor of goodness and the giver of all good things. Asking God for help puts us in conversation with God. These conversations take many forms. The reading from Genesis shows Abraham bantering with God like a skilled negotiator, while Saint Paul’s letter to the Colossians praises God for answering us even when we don’t deserve it. In Saint Luke’s Gospel, Jesus not only gives us words to use in our conversations with God (the Our Father), but also promises that God always listens to our prayers. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

they had no opportunity even to eat. (Mark 6:31)

A leader must be brave and calm in the face of unexpected events, whenever or wherever they may come. If the leader achieves these qualities, the severest of challenges will be overcome.

Overwork leads to the inability to achieve; over-anxiety can lead to insanity. However busy you are, you should set aside some time for reflection, study, and especially prayer. In fact, the busier you are, the greater your need for reflection, study, and prayer. Through this, you will find peace.

Do not waste a single moment, do not utter a single superfluous word, do not waste a single opportunity. If you do this, you will improve your judgment, become more determined, and gain greater respect and admiration from others.

Learn how to maintain personal discipline, organize your life, and discern the value of every action. These are the conditions that will help you to be a leader who can proudly and heroically restore confidence when everyone is panic stricken and apprehensive.

Sunday, July 28, 2019 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus:

May the love, grace, joy and blessings of Jesus and our Mother Mary be with you, receive God’s loving care and peace.

He who loves wishes the best for his loved ones and family but not always do we, the members of the family, behave correctly. We let ourselves be driven by anger, negative feelings and temptations, which take us away from our home and our life with God. However, a mother or father who loves their son or daughter who is having strange behavior, with love, will speak to them with words from the heart - this will bring good to them. This is done with a heart filled with patience.

Equally, when parents have strange and erratic behaviors, and are strangers to family life, the children will talk, get angry and try to make their parents understand and realize that this is not the best way to continue the progression of a better family life. They often ask God for a miracle that will soon solve the painful situations that live in their homes.

In today’s first reading, Abraham has a loving dialogue with God where he intercedes for the life which is full of vices, drawn away from faith and the love of its inhabitants. And he asks that He not destroy it, to be patient, whether there are 50 righteous, or 45, or 20, or 10 in the city, and finds a favorable response in God. He will not destroy the city containing the righteous ones. With some reservation, Abraham, with a realis-tic point of view, asks God, there is so much evil, but I ask for patience that for a few, everyone should be saved. In our case, why not ask and expect the best of our children and our parents, who may be leading a life that makes them live in indignity; if we look at things with love, we will always fight for a better life, even if it seems impossible to achieve (Genesis 18:20-32).

In the Gospel, Jesus teaches us to pray and how to make requests of our Heavenly Father, but He tells us to insist. We must be persistent, since one of the faults we have is to be impatient and want everything fast, often seeking severe punishments, to correct and instill fear. That is why today we have prisons where few rehabilitate; the punishments are not effective, because no one wants to accept responsibility for their life, and neither accepts nor receives help or awareness when they are given the opportunity for a change and to live with love in their life.

This is an invitation for us to live well and to insist on our plea to God - to give us wisdom, understanding and a reverent fear of offending Him, and to ask with perseverance for what is good for our well-being and for the good of others (Luke 11: 1-13).

Chúa nhật, ngày 28 tháng 07 năm 2019 Anh Chị Em thân mến trong Chúa Giêsu Kitô, Nguyện xin tình yêu, ân sủng, niềm vui và phúc lành của Chúa Giêsu và Mẹ Maria ở cùng Quý Ông Bà và Anh Chị Em, luôn gìn giữ và ban cho Quý Ông Bà và Anh Chị Em được bình an. Chúa yêu thương và mong muốn mọi điều tốt nhất cho Gia đình và những ai Ngài yêu thương, nhưng không phải lúc nào chúng ta, những thành viên trong đại Gia đình, cũng cư xử đúng mức. Chúng ta để

cho mình bị điều khiển bởi sự tức giận, bởi những cảm giác tiêu cực và những mưu chước cám dỗ, làm cho chúng ta bị lìa xa khỏi cuộc sống với Thiên Chúa. Tuy nhiên, là một người cha người mẹ luôn yêu thương con cái mình, khi thấy chúng có những hành vi bất thường, sẽ nói chuyện với chúng bằng tình yêu từ tận trong đáy tim - hầu mang lại kết quả tốt đẹp cho chúng. Điều này cần được thực hiện với một quả tim đầy kiên nhẫn. Tương tự như vậy, khi Cha Mẹ có những hành vi kỳ cục và khác đời, làm cho con cái thấy xa lạ với cuộc sống Gia đình, con cái sẽ nói, sẽ bực bội và cố gắng làm cho Cha Mẹ hiểu ra rằng đây không phải là phương cách hay để làm cho cuộc sống gia đình được tiến triển tốt hơn. Họ thường cầu xin Chúa làm một phép lạ để sớm giải quyết được những tình cảnh đau buồn đang diễn ra trong gia đình. Trong Bài đọc một hôm nay, Áp-ra-ham đã có một cuộc đối thoại đầy yêu thương với Thiên Chúa, mà ông điều đình nài xin sự sống cho Dân thành đang mang phải đầy dẫy những tật xấu, làm mất đi sự tín nhiệm và tình thương. Ông xin Thiên Chúa đừng phá hủy nó, hãy kiên nhẫn, cho dù chỉ có 50 người công chính, hoặc 45, hoặc 20, hoặc 10 người công chính trong Thành và cầu xin Chúa nhận lời ông. Ông kỳ nèo xin Chúa đừng tiêu diệt thành phố khi vẫn còn những người công chính. Chúng ta phải kiên trì, bởi vì một trong những lỗi lầm của chúng ta là thiếu kiên nhẫn và muốn mọi sự phải được thật nhanh, chúng ta thường tìm kiếm những hình phạt nặng nề để sửa mình và gieo rắc nỗi sợ hãi. Đó là lý do tại sao ngày nay chúng ta có nhà tù mà không khôi phục lại được ai cả. Các hình phạt không có hiệu quả, bởi vì không ai muốn nhận trách nhiệm cho cuộc sống của mình nữa, người ta không chấp nhận và cũng không muốn nhận được sự giúp đỡ nào; họ không nhận thức được rằng họ có cơ hội để thay đổi và để sống một cuộc sống trong yêu thương. Đây là một lời mời gọi chúng ta sống tốt lành và liên lỉ cầu xin Chúa – xin Ngài ban cho chúng ta sự khôn ngoan, hiểu biết và một niềm kính sợ khi xúc phạm đến Ngài, để chúng ta luôn nài xin mọi điều tốt đẹp cho hạnh phúc chúng ta và cho lợi ích của người khác (Luca 11: 1-13). Chúa Nhật Thứ 17 Thường Niên - Năm C Chúa Giêsu Dạy Cầu Nguyện

Bài đọc 1: St. 18:20-32 Bài đọc thuật lại dân thành Sô-đô-ma phạm tội nặng nề. Chúa định phạt họ, nhưng ông Áp-ra-ham cầu xin Chúa tha, và Chúa sẵn sàng tha nếu thành đó có một ít người công chính.

Bài đọc 2: Cl. 2:12-14 Chúng ta chết vì đã phạm tội, nhưng nhờ phép rửa chúng ta được sống lại với Ðức Kitô, và cũng nhờ Người mà lời cầu xin của chúng ta được chấp nhận. Tin Mừng: Lc. 11:1-13 Ðể dạy các Tông đồ cầu nguyện, Chúa Giêsu bảo các ông phải có lòng tin mạnh mẽ, lòng cậy vững bền, lòng mến thiết tha, và thân thưa với Cha trên trời bằng Kinh Lạy Cha.

“Xin, tìm và gõ” Chúa Giêsu khuyến khích chúng ta hãy xin, hãy tìm và hãy gõ cửa. Nghĩa là đức tin của chúng ta phải là một hành động tích cực chứ không phải là một thái độ thụ động chỉ biết đợi chờ.

Tuy nhiên lắm khi vì tự phụ mà chúng ta không xin, nên chúng ta không nhận được; lắm khi vì chúng ta lười biếng mà không tìm, nên chúng ta không gặp; lắm khi vì chúng ta nhút nhát mà không gõ cửa nên không được mở cho.

Đừng thụ động ngồi chờ ơn Chúa như những quả sung từ trời rụng xuống. Hãy khiêm tốn, siêng năng và bạo dạn mà xin, mà tìm và gõ cửa. Nếu điều đó tốt cho chúng ta thì chắc chắn Thiên Chúa là Cha nhân hậu sẽ ban cho chúng ta. Xin điều này được điều khác

Ghi danh học Giáo Lý & Việt Ngữ tại Giáo Xứ

1. Ban Giáo Lý – Việt Ngữ vẫn còn đang nhận đơn ghi danh cho các em học sinh Cũ và học sinh mới. * Các em 6 tuổi (bắt đầu học lớp 1) đã đủ tuổi để ghi danh học Giáo Lý & Việt Ngữ tại Giáo Xứ. * Phụ huynh có thể vào website của Giáo Xứ hoặc đến Văn phòng Giáo Xứ để lấy đơn ghi danh. * Để kịp xếp lớp cho các em học vào tháng 9, xin Phụ huynh gửi đơn ghi danh về Văn phòng Giáo Xứ trước ngày 11 tháng 8. 2. Ngày 11 tháng 8, ngày Festival của Giáo Xứ. Ban Giáo Lý - Việt Ngữ sẽ ngồi ở bàn trong Trung Tâm Mục Vụ để nhận đơn ghi danh từ 11 giờ trưa đến 3 giờ Chiều. - Xin lưu ý: * Ngày 11 tháng 8 cũng là ngày cuối nhận đơn ghi danh học Giáo Lý & Việt Ngữ tại Giáo Xứ. * Học sinh mới chuyển từ những Giáo Xứ khác, xin nộp theo sổ điểm của các em tại Trường, để Văn phòng dễ dàng xếp lớp cho các em. Domingo, 28 de julio, 2019 Estimados hermanos y hermanas en Cristo Jesús:

Que sea con ustedes todo amor y bendición, gracia y alegría en Jesús y María nuestra

Madre, que reciban de Dios su cuidado y paz.

Quien ama desea el bien para el ser amado y para su familia, y no siempre los miembros de la familia nos comportamos bien, nos dejamos llevar por enojos, sentimientos negativos y tenta-ciones que nos alejan del hogar y de la vida en Dios, sin em-bargo, una madre o padre que aman a ese hijo o hija que está teniendo un comportamiento extraño al amor, hablan utilizando las mejores palabras del corazón que llaman al bien, y con un corazón lleno de paciencia.

Igual cuando los padres tienen comportamientos extraños y erráticos, extraños a la vida de familia, los hijos hablan, se enojan e intentan que sus padres comprendan y entiendan que ese no es el mejor camino que conduce al progreso de la familia, muchas veces piden a Dios un milagro que pronto solucione las situaciones dolorosas que viven en su hogar.

Hoy en la primera lectura Abraham tiene un dialogo amoroso con Dios en donde intercede ante la vida llena de vicios y alejada de la fe y amor de sus habitantes. Y pide que no les destruya, que sea paciente en orden si hay cincuenta justos o 45, o 20 o 10 en la ciudad, y encuentra respuesta favorable en Dios, no destruirá la ciudad si hay esos justos en la ciudad, con cierta pena Abraham pide a Dios y es muy realista en sus puntos de vista, hay demasiada maldad, pero pide paciencia y que por unos pocos se salven todos. En nuestro caso como no pedir y esperar lo mejor de nuestros hijos y nuestros padres que están llevando una vida que los hace vivir en indignidad, si miramos con amor siempre lucharemos, aunque sea imposible el poder lograrlo. (Génesis 18:20-32).

Jesús en el Evangelio, enseña a orar y como pedirle a nuestro Padre Celestial, pero nos dice que debemos insistir, que debe-mos ser perseverantes, ya que una de las fallas que nosotros tenemos es la impaciencia y el querer todo rápido, muchas veces buscando castigos severos para corregir e infundir miedo. Hoy por hoy tenemos cárceles donde nadie se regenera, castigos que no son efectivos porque nadie toma conciencia de su vida, ni recibe ayuda ni toma conciencia de un cambio invitado al cambio y ser estimado e invitado a vivir en el amor.

La invitación es hacer y vivir en el bien e insistir a Dios que nos de la sabiduría, el entendimiento y un santo temor de ofenderle. Pedir con perseverancia lo que conviene para nuestro bien y el bien de los demás. (Lucas 11:1-13).

PIDIENDO AYUDA

Las beatitudes alaban al pobre de espíritu. Una de las caracterís-ticas de quienes son pobres de espíritu es su habilidad para pedir ayuda; ellos saben cuando otros pueden proveerles lo que les hace falta. Las lecturas de hoy nos animan a practicar la pobreza de espíritu pidiéndole a Dios aquello que necesitamos. ¿Qué podría ser más natural pedir a Dios que buenas cosas? Dios es, después de todo, el hacedor de la bondad y el dador de buenas cosas. Pidiendo ayuda a Dios nos pone en una conversación con Dios. Esta conversación o conversaciones pueden ser de muchas formas. La lectura del libro del Génesis muestra a Abraham negociando con Dios de una manera graciosa, pero como un hábil negociador; por otro lado la carta de san Pablo a los colosenses alaba a Dios respondiéndonos aún cuando no lo merecemos. En el Evangelio de san Lucas, Jesús no solo nos da las palabras y frases para usar en nuestras conversaciones con Dios (el Padre Nuestro), sino también promete que Dios siempre escuchará nuestras oraciones. Tradiciones de Nuestra Fe

Por siglos, Latinoamérica ha desarrollado una larga tradición religiosa con mitología espléndida. La palabra “religión” del verbo latín religere significa “atar” o “enlazar”. Su función es unir seres humanos, los unos con los otros, con lazos de caridad y justicia. Una vez enlazados en comunidad, la religión los une al poder divino que rige el universo. Entre las culturas andinas se encuentran mitos religio-sos que muestran la importancia de este enlazamiento. Según la mitología inca el universo esta compuesto por tres mundos: el cielo (Janan pacha), la tierra (Cay pacha) y el bajo tierra (Ucu pacha). Estos tres mundos están unidos por dos grandes serpien-tes, Yacú-mama (ríos) y Sacha-mama (árboles), símbolos de la fecundidad. Muchos piensan que los mitos son leyendas cuya fun-ción es el entretenimiento. En realidad los mitos no son fábulas, son historias que explican la verdad profunda del universo. Nos muestran como unirnos y enlazarnos para vivir una vida fecun-da. En la tradición de la Iglesia ortodoxa, aunque no estén expresa-mente mencionadas como tales en los Evangelios, Marta y María se encontraban entre las “Mujeres Miróforas” (portadoras de miro o de mirra). Estas fieles seguidores de Jesús estaban en el Gólgota durante la crucifixión de Jesús y pasado el día de reposo, el primer día de la semana, muy de mañana llegaron a su tumba con mirra

(aceite aromático de alto precio )- de acuerdo con la tradición judía- para ungir el cuerpo de su Señor. Las Miróforas se convirtieron en los primeros testigos de la Resurrección de Jesús, la búsqueda de la tumba vacía y enterarse de la gozosa noticia por un ángel.
