Multiplexadores – 1/4
• A função de multiplexar consiste em transmitir por um só canal de
saída alguma das informações presentes em várias linhas de
entrada.
• O dispositivo mais elementar que realiza esta função é o
computador.
• Os circuitos combinatórios que realizam esta função chamam-se
multiplexadores (multiplexers) e são construídos por N linhas de
entrada de informação, uma saída e n linhas de controle. A relação
entre as entradas de informação e as de controle é a seguinte: N = 2n.

• Tecnicamente os circuitos comerciais podem ser utilizados como
desmultiplexadores ou como descodificadores.
• Assim, o CI 74LS42 (multiplexer) funciona como desmultiplexador se
utilizarmos o terminal A3 como entrada de dados e os terminais A0,
A1 e A2 como entradas de controle. Nesta situação, obteremos um
desmultiplexador de 8 saídas (0 a 7).
• Multiplexador 74LS151
– O CI 74LS151 é um circuito de 8 entradas (D0 a D7), 3 entradas (A, B e
C) de controle e uma de inibição S.
