Hidantoine dactin, dibromantin, BCDMH
Some N-Halogenated derivatives of hydantoin are usedas chlorinating or brominating agents in
disinfectant /sanitizer or biocide products. The threemajor N-halogenated derivatives aredichlorodimethylhydantoin ( DCDMH ),bromochlorodimethylhydantoin ( BCDMH ), anddibromodimethylhydantoin ( DBDMH )

Prima Sulfamida Prontozilul rosuprodrug
Sulfonamide drugs were the first antimicrobial drugs, and paved the way forthe antibiotic revolution in medicine. The first sulfonamide was trade namedProntosil , which is a prodrug
Sulfonamidochrysoidine (KI-730), first synthesized by Bayer chemists JosefKlarer and Fritz Mietzsch, was tested and found effective against someimportant bacterial infections in mice by Gerhard Domagk , whosubsequently received the 1939 Nobel Prize in Medicine . Prontosil was theresult of five years of research and testing involving thousands ofcompounds related to azo dyes .

Sulfanilamida
Jacques and Thrse Trefouel and their team at the French PasteurInstitute found in 1936 that prontosil is metabolized to sulfanilamide (para-aminophenylsulfonamide), a much simpler, colorless
molecule, redefining Prontosil as a prodrug . Prontylin became thefirst oral version of sulfanilamide by Bayer. Its synthesis had been first reported by Paul Gelmo, a chemistry
student working at the University of Vienna in his 1909 thesis, but hehad not realized its medical potential.

Cefalosporine Cephalosporin compounds were first
isolated from cultures of Cep halospor iumacremonium from a sewer in Sardinia in1948 by Italian scientist Giuseppe Brotzu [2].He noticed that these cultures producedsubstances that were effective againstSalmonella typhi , the cause of typhoid fever ,which had beta-lactamase . Guy Newton andEdward Abraham at the Sir William Dunn
School of Pathology at the University ofOxford isolated cephalosporin C . Thecephalosporin nucleus, 7-aminocephalosporanic acid ( 7-ACA ), wasderived from cephalosporin C and proved tobe analogous to the penicillin nucleus 6-aminopenicillanic acid , but it was notsufficiently potent for clinical use.Modification of the 7-ACA side-chainsresulted in the development of usefulantibiotic age nts, and the first agentcephalothin ( cefalotin ) was launched by EliLilly in 1964

Aspirin (USAN ), also knownas acetylsalicylicacid (abbrev
iated ASA ), is a salicylate drug ,often used as an analgesic to relieve minor
aches and pains, as an
antipyretic to reduce fever, andas
an antiinflammatory medication.
Aspirin was first isolatedby Felix Hoffmann , a chemistwith the Germancompany Bayer in 1897. [1][2]

(RS )-2-(4-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl)-propanoic acid
Ibuprofen (INN) (from iso- bu tyl- pro panoic - phen olic acid) is a nonsteroidalanti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for pain relief, fever reduction, andagainst swelling.
Ibuprofen has an antiplatelet effect, though relatively mild and somewhat short-lived compared with aspirin or prescription antiplatelet drugs. In general, ibuprofen also acts as a vasoconstrictor. Ibuprofen is a 'core' medicine inthe World Health Organization's Model List of Essential Medicines necessary tomeet the minimum medical needs of a basic healthcare system.
Ibuprofen was derived from propanoic acid by the research arm of BootsGroup during the 1960s and patented in 1961. Originally marketed as Brufen ,ibuprofen is available under a variety of popular trademarks, includingMotrin, Nurofen, Advil, and Nuprin. Generic formulations are available as well.
In Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, ibuprofen lysine (the lysine salt ofibuprofen, sometimes called "ibuprofen lysinate" even though the lysine isin cationic form) is licensed for treatment of the same conditions as ibuprofen. The lysine salt increases water solubility
