MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY I desire to elevate Jesus above all things, calling people to live their lives in light of the truth, hope, and power of the gospel. I wish to exercise the gifts of leadership, discipleship, and teaching to grow and empower the global church.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND Childhood I was born in Santa Maria, CA and spent my childhood years on the island of Oahu. My family relocated back to the Central Californian coast when I was in the eighth grade. Conversion & Calling In late 2003, very dear family friends invited my family to attend a Bible church in Rockwall, TX. Up until that Sunday we frequently attended a nearby Roman Catholic Church. Having been raised Roman Catholic I believed in God and knew things about Him but never read the Bible nor experienced a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Listening to the sermon that Sunday I began to experience God the Father and His Son in a much different way: he was a God of grace and mercy not a God who demanded my goodness for acceptance. That very Sunday I purchased a Bible and began to devour God’s word. Shortly thereafter I was born again by the Holy Spirit and baptized in 2004. Serving vigorously in our local church, short-‐term missions in Africa, leading a home group and serving the homeless in downtown Dallas ultimately led to attending seminary. Through authentic Christian friendships, mentors, local church leadership, and my seminary experience God continues to affirm a ministry calling for my family and me. Marriage & Family I met Jodi Lynn Parsons in San Francisco, California and we married in February 1994 at a small gathering in Napa, California. Jodi graduated from California State University at Northridge and had built a successful retail management career in Northern California, which she left to stay home with our first son Max who was born in November 12, 1994. She is a godly and prayerful woman with the gift of exhortation and hospitality. In addition to Max we have been blessed with Veronica (born March 23, 1996) and our younger son A.J. (born February 1, 2000). Spiritual Gifts & Strengths Preaching, teaching, and leadership through guiding and empowering others for communal ministry. Articulating clear vision and purpose. Passion for evangelism, discipleship, and multiplying church-‐plants.

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE
Children’s HopeChest, Palmer, CO February 2011 – Present Children’s HopeChest connects Christian churches in the U.S. and Canada with impoverished communities of orphans overseas. These sponsoring communities are providing help, training, and discipleship for over 10,000 orphans through 100 active partnerships in Russia, Swaziland, South Africa, Ethiopia, Uganda, Haiti, Guatemala, Moldova, and India.
Vice President of Advancement In my current role I oversee the development and advancement of strategic partnerships with Western churches, businesses, and social networks to empower an indigenous led response to orphans and widows in developing countries as a means of demonstrating and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am responsible for partnerships in all current countries of operations, manage the Strategic Partner team and oversee key initiatives for the organization as it relates to partner development and ministry growth. As a member of the executive leadership team ministry revenues grew from $4.189M in FY2011 to $6.800M by the end of FY2013 (http://www.ecfa.org/ComparativeFinancialData.aspx?ID=9968&Type=Member).
World Orphans, Castle Rock, CO January 2007 – December 2009 World Orphans is a registered 501(c) non-‐profit organization empowering the global church to rescue and care for an estimated 143 million orphans worldwide. Over the past 15 years, World Orphans has changed the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children through over 500 projects in over 50 countries.
Executive Vice President World Orphans is a mid-‐size, non-‐profit organization with an annual budget of $2.5M – $3M dollars and staff of 24 people. World Orphans solicits funds from individuals, businesses, and churches to assist indigenous churches all over the world in their efforts to make a difference in the lives of orphans. As Executive Vice President, I was responsible for the overall day-‐to-‐day operations, key initiatives, and financial aspects of the organization. I oversaw the organizations communication strategy, including website development
(www.worldorphans.org), media creation, and communications (fundraising) materials. I played an integral part in the development and implementation of the Social Networking and Internet search engine strategy to raise awareness, involvement, and funding. At the time of my resignation, World Orphans had created the largest Orphan Related Facebook group on the Internet. As Executive Vice President, I presented, spoke, and led breakout sessions at conferences like Together For Adoption, Saddleback’s HIV Summit, and the annual Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit. I’ve also had the privilege of speaking about and training pastors from various cultures on how the local church can and must respond to orphans, widows, the poor, and the travesty of human trafficking as a means to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Vice President of Advocacy I led the strategic development of a Church to Church partnership model and built a team of 7 regionally based directors of church-‐to-‐church partnerships, individuals responsible for engaging Western churches to support international church-‐based orphan projects. Vice President of Mobilization I led the strategic development and implementation of www.Journey117.org, World Orphan’s mobilization ministry. Through J117, hundreds of individuals and western church teams were mobilized all around the world to work in partnership with indigenous church partners in the context of the orphan, the widow, the oppressed and poor. I led the development of the J117 website, spiritual formation materials, mission team training materials, resources, and managed the internal J117 team.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Criterion Imaging, Dallas, TX December 2004 – December 2007 Criterion Imaging (CI) is a privately held multi-‐modality diagnostic imaging center. CI owns and operates high-‐end, outpatient diagnostic imaging centers, providing diagnostic services to patients and physician practices in the Dallas-‐Fort Worth area.
Vice President of Business Development I joined CI to address the lack of profitability due to underperforming marketing and sales initiatives. I addressed these challenges by, 1) developing, implementing, and managing key marketing, brand communication, and sales initiatives, 2) unwinding a failing physician Limited Partnership investment model while retaining and increasing a significant portion of the former Limited Partners’ diagnostic imaging referrals, and 3) opening additional diagnostic imaging centers to leverage existing operational and sales infrastructure resulting in system wide profitability.
Integrated Diagnostic Centers, Houston, TX March 2002 – November 2004 Integrated Diagnostic Centers (IDC) is a privately held, venture capital backed company. IDC builds and operates integrated diagnostic imaging centers and leases pre-‐determined blocks of time to physician practices. IDC operates in 5 states with annual revenues of $10 Million.
Vice President of Sales I was recruited by IDC to address the lack of revenue growth. In the two years prior to my employment, IDC had experienced tremendous turnover in the sales force. Upon entering my position I evaluated the existing sales team, the markets we were selling in, and the process of how we sold. Over the first year I replaced 50% of the existing sales team, closed unprofitable markets, and re-‐engineered vital internal support processes to improve sales performance. From March 2002 to March 2003 IDC experienced top line revenue growth of 85%.
Matrix Rehabilitation, Dallas, TX March 2000 – February 2002 MATRIX Rehabilitation, Inc., then a subsidiary of Beverly Enterprises, is a $100 million, 160+ site outpatient rehabilitation and occupational medicine division, a $5 million managed care organization and a start up Women’s Wellness business.
Vice President of Marketing & Business Development I Reported directly to the division President and assisted in the development, execution, and management of all corporate affairs. As a Senior Manager I was responsible for determining and executing sales, marketing and business development initiatives to achieve the overall strategic and financial goals of the company. I oversaw market research, competitor analysis and continually identified customer and market need for new revenue growth opportunities.
