General

The AC Kit for Battery Cabinet Heater adds an AC connection into the MircoPower Outdoor

Battery Cabinet. This AC connection is necessary for installing the Heater Kit into the

MicroPower Outdoor Battery Cabinet.

The Heater kit is intended for systems situated in cold climates. If the cabinet temperature

drops below 5°C the heater will start and heat up the cabinet. When it reaches 15°C it will be

turned OFF again. The Heater kit will ensure that the system, and especially the batteries, last

longer.

Installation must be done by authorized personnel only.

Recommended tools

Standard equipment used by an authorized electrician. NOTE: All tools must be insulated.

Torque settingsThe screw terminals on the AC terminal blocks must be tightened with 1.5Nm.

Installation

Eltek Energy recommends that the system is powered down before installation of the kit.

Step Description Comment OK 1 Mount the heater to the

cabinet wall.

See the installation manual for the Heater kit.

2 The system must be

powered down before

installation of the AC Kit.

Turn OFF the external mains input breaker!

3 Mount the double pole

AC breaker on the DIN

rail and lock the breaker

with the End Stop on theleft side.

4 Connect the blue cable

from the neutral pole on

the double pole AC

breaker to connector 1 pin

2 (CON1-2). Connect the

black cable from the live

pole to connector 1 pin 1

(CON1-1).

Torque: 3.0Nm

5 Make sure the AC breaker

is switched OFF.

6 Remove 1 of the

appropriate size knock-

outs to accommodate the

supplied cable gland.

Refer to the Installation

Guide MicroPower Outdoor System (Art. No.

351433.033) for an

overview of knock-outs in

the cabinet base.

Put a flat screw driver

between the 2 tags that

support the disc. Give the

top of the screw driver a

knock with a hammer.

Put the screw driver to the

other side between thetags and knock again.

Start knocking cautiously

and gradually increase the

force. Repeat the

knocking until the tags are

so fatigued that the disc

drops out.

7 Mount the cable gland in

the opening. Run the

mains input cable through

the cable gland.

8 Connect the mains input

cable.

First connect the

green/yellow earth cable

at the same green/yellow

terminal block (E).Torque: 1.2Nm.

Connect the neutral (N)

cable at the right pole and

the live (L) cable at the

left pole.

Torque: 3.0Nm.

9 The AC Kit has now beeninstalled. Turn ON the

AC breaker and thereafter

the external AC breaker.
