Sub: Open Tender Notice

Sealed tenders are invited for running of Buses for Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya for

School going students as per annexes enclosed. The last date of submission of the bid is 11th May,

2012 upto 1:00 p.m. Tenders will be opened on same day at 2:30 p.m. and authorized representatives

of applied parties can also attend the same.

1. Running charges per K.M. per standard bus/ (52 seater).

The term & condition for submission of tender are as follows:

1. Earnest Money @ Rs. 4000/-per bus to be deposited to the Principal, Bharatiya Vidya

Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya payable at Delhi in the form of Demand Draft only.

2. Earnest money of the successful bidder will be converted into security deposit and earnest

money of the unsuccessful bidder will be refunded without interest within one month from the last

date of depositing the bid.

3. In case of a bus has not been provided on a particular day an amount equal to two days

bus charges will be deducted and in case of failure of bus on duty to run any particular trip full

day charges will be deducted. 4. In case bus starts late by half an hour from the Originating Station 1 /4th of the day’s bus

charges shall be deducted as penalty. In case bus is late by more than an hour, half day bus

charges shall be deducted as penalty. Timings of the bus be strictly adhered to, failing which

penalty clause will be invoked.

5. The Bus Operator will have to ensure that, only bonafide Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s

Mehta Vidyalaya school going students travel in the bus & Rs.50/-will be deducted as penalty for

every unauthorized student/passenger traveling in bus.

6. Period of contract – One year from the date of receipt of acceptance letter from the bidder

which can be extended for another one year on mutual agreement.

7. While quoting rates, tenderers are requested to keep in view the fact that the bus would be

required normally on working days of school only but in case the bus is required by Bharatiya

Vidiya Bhawan’s Mehta Vidyalaya on a school holiday also or during the period beyond the

scheduled time for which, extra payment will be payable on KM basis.

8. The bus should have 52 or more seats and a standard quality bus as certified by the

authorized representative of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya administration should be

provided.

9. The bus transport agency should have quick replacement arrangement, in case the bus

becomes unserviceable for the scheduled trip.

10. Copy of PAN issued by Income Tax Department.

11. Ownership status of the firm copy of proprietorship/partnership deed, articles of

association, proof of registration with registrar of firms/Companies etc. as applicable.

12. Proof of Experience : Proof of experience of operating private / hired Bus services for at

least two year during last five years. Road permit, route permit, hiring agreement etc. to be

submitted.

13. Copy of Registration Certificate Book of available vehicle in his/her firm’s name with

evidence like road tax, insurance etc. showing vehicle is in running condition as on date of

publishing of tender.

14. Model of the offered vehicles should not be more than 10 years old on the date of issue of

tender.

15. Copy of Registration Certificate Book, 1 st party comprehensive Insurance, Road Tax,

Fitness certificate, road permit, pollution certificate, drivers license for the offered vehicle. Driver

should have minimum 5 years experience as on date publication of tender along with valid driving

license.

16. Declaration in affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper duly countersigned by Notary that

they have not been banned or debarred by Govt./ Quassi Govt.or PSUs.

17. The contractor/transporter can apply for minimum five or more buses.

18. Offer submitted/received through E-mail/Fax will be ignored.

19. All other details will be available in the tender documents. No postal transaction shall be

accepted for obtaining tender documents.

20. The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya reserves the right to accept or reject any

or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

21. Each and every page has to be signed by the tenderer / bidder as token of their consent.

22. This tender document consist of thirteen (13) pages.

23. There should be one conductor in each bus. A penalty of three hundred rupees per day

will be deducted if conductor is not present in the bus.

TENDER NOTICE Sealed Tenders are invited from reputed resourceful

firms/individuals having ownership registration etc. to undertake the following work at the

School. The closing date of submission of bid is 11 th May, 2012 by 1:00 p.m.

Note: The number of buses can increase/decrease depending upon the number of Students.

1. Eligibility Criteria

The Transporter/Contractor who own five or more than five buses can also submit his/their tender. The vehicle to be deployed should be Registered. The tenderers should submit all the required documents including Road Permit of the offered vehicle as per tender document along with tender documents.

2. While the vehicle should not be more than ten years old on the date of issue of the tender, preference will be given to the latest model if their rates are at par with L 1 rate.

3. The Tender documents can be had from the office of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya on deposit of Rs.500/-as cost of tender document in the form of Demand Draft (Non refundable) during any working day and working hours. Tenderers can also download tender documents from the website www.bvbmehtavidyalaya.org .

xiii) Model of the Bus to be deployed should not be more than ten years old on the date of

issue of tender document i.e. 30th April, 2012.

xiv) There must not be any police/legal case against the vehicle or Driver, or substitute or

owner of the vehicle. A self declaration in this regard to be submitted in the form of affidavit or of

the firm does not come under purview of service tax rule self declaration is to be submitted in the

form of affidavit.

xv) Proof of ownership of minimum five buses/ copy of Registration Certificate Book.

xvi) One conductor in each bus is mandatory.
