Introduction: We had decided to release two products related to the medical application. Our products are MED-WATCH and MED-WATCH+. Our product MED-WATCH can measure the blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature. In MED-WATCH+, the extra feature is GSM technology. Identification of Problem: 1. It is advisable for the adults to check their blood pressure in regular intervals. But in modern busy life they don’t get time to go to the hospital to check their BP. Because of this many adults get BP problem. 2. The persons who do exercise in gym equipment especially in thread mills have to check their pulse rate .Because if the pulse rate goes high they have to stop doing the exercise and have to take rest. But this facility is available only in costly equipment.

We had decided to release two products related to

the medical application. Our products are MED-WATCH

and MED-WATCH+. Our product MED-WATCH can

measure the blood pressure, pulse rate and body

temperature. In MED-WATCH+, the extra feature is GSM

technology.

Identification of Problem:

1.  It is advisable for the adults to check their blood

3.  In hospitals the patient monitoring system for

heart patient are very costly which cannot be

affordable for all hospitals.

Objectives:

1.  Our product will be helpful for the adults to

measure the BP, pulse rate and body temperature

whenever they want. They no need to go to

hospital to check their BP.

2.  It will be helpful for the persons who do exercise

in the gym to check their pulse rate while doing

exercise. So that if the pulse rate increases above

the particular level they can stop doing the

exercise and take rest.3.  Our product MED-WATCH+ is a cheapest patient

monitoring system. It measures the blood

pressure, pulse rate, and body temperature. If any

of the values goes higher than the fixed critical

level it will send a intimation to the doctor or to

the relative whose number is already stored in the

system.

Scope:

1.  Our product reduces the difficulty in measuring

the blood pressure, and pulse rate.

2.  It helps the sports persons to do a safety and a

healthy exercise.

3.  Our product MED-WATCH+ reduces the cost of the

patient monitoring system.

4. 

It also reduces the size of the patient monitoringsystem.

Limitations:

1.  The watch has to be tightly tied in the wrist.

2.  Battery has to be charged daily.

3.  Further improvement in the watch may result in

increase in the size.

Project Description:  We will produce two variants MED-WATCH

(without GSM kit) and MED-WATCH (with GSM

kit).

 

We are producing a peculiar watch, whichconsists of a digital display for time and the

machine which we are going to use will be

purchased a TITAN, a TATA product.

  The machine which we use in the watch should

be supplied as per our requirements of 

dimensions.  The GSM kit which we going to install in the

“MED-WATCH+” will be bought from the market

leader SAMSUNG.

  A single digital display will be used for the SIM-

Network coverage notifications, which are the

main factors of this “MED-WATCH”. 

They are;

(i). Pulse rate,

(ii). Blood pressure measurements,

(iii). Body temperature.

  The critical levels of the three major readings

will be inbuilt and if there is any abnormal

difference in the measurements it will send a

sms to the person’s family doctor, and to a

family member with the location details.  A buzzer and lighting device will be installed to

‘alert’ the neighbor’s attentions, wherever an

abnormal difference happens to the body.

  The parts used for the medical measurements

will be produced by ‘our-organization’. 

 The body and strap of the ‘MED-WATCH’ will

also produced accordingly by our own

organizations.

  The battery used in MED-WATCH will be a

‘Lithium-Ion’ battery, so it on be recharged using

an external supply. The battery life will last long

for about “200hours”. 

  The numbers to which the message to be send

can be allotted by connecting to a system, using

data cable.

Market analysis:

Market Description:

Our product is a new invention in this market. We

had integrated the medical application instruments withthe watch. Actually in the market there is no such

product available. But there are some other medical

instruments available for the measurement of blood

pressure, pulse rate, and body temperature.

Market Size:Our aim is to cover the market of adult persons. The

population of Tamil Nadu is nearly 7 cores. Among that

nearly 55% of the people are adults. So we have to

concentrate on them. And also in Tamil Nadu there are

nearly 27% people with heart problems. So we have to

concentrate on this 27% people. In Tamil Nadu there are

many Jims. We also want to concentrate on it.

Industry life cycle:

Medical application products have more demand in

present life. Since our product is a cheap medical

instrument it will have a good acceptance in the market.

Since our product is a medical application product

we had decided to release our product in the doctor’s 

association meeting so that every doctors will come to

know about our product.

Advertising strategy:

 We had decided to sponsor a medical awareness

program in sun news. 

 We had decided to print the medical subscription

sheet with our advertisement on the back side for

some of the popular hospitals.

 Our product advertisement will be given in the

manual of Jim equipments.

 

Banners will be placed in the beaches where manypeople used to go for walking. 

Promotion:

  We had decided to conduct awareness program

about the importance of measuring the blood

pressure. 

  As the introduction price we had decided to give

20% discount in the price of the product. 

  Sales representatives will be appointed, who will be

visiting all the doctors, sports shops and give canvas

about the product.  We had decided to conduct free medical checkup. 

  Free samples will be given to the doctors, and the

doctors will be asked to prescribe our product for

the heart patients.
