    3 An experiment is carried out to determine the rate of reaction between excess calcium

    carbonate and 50.0 cm3

    6 Diagram 6.1 and 6.2 shows the readings of the burette for two set of the experiment to

    study the effect of the amount of catalyst on the rate of reaction.

    0.2 g of manganese (IV) oxide powder is added to 30 cm of 20-volume hydrogenperoxide solution. The volume of gas released is collected and the burrette reading is

    recorded at every 30 seconds intervals.

    The experiment was repeated using 0.6 g of manganese (IV) oxide powder.
