ATTENTION: As MDF is made of natural raw ma-terials, it cannot be ruled out that the material may give and, as such, surface changes may occur despi-te treatment. There can therefo-re be warping on a millimetre scale within the slots of the door. The-re can also be a minimal irregula-rity in the joint between door and corpus, which however in no way in-fluences the functionality of the ca-binet system. The metal fittings are inserted into the slots (connecting element, shelf supports, door hinge).

The colour application concerning the MDF, is liable to vary in shade, due to its origin. This can also be found by waxed products. In order to eliminate large colour differences, orders will be sorted separately from production. Also, because our waxing is carried out by contract, ordering in masses with long time gaps in between can lead to uncontrollable differences in colour shade.

As a rule we recommend to fix the cabinet to the wall or the ceiling.

Aluminium Aluminium is a durable light metal, which is produced using a high level of energy. It can be recycled without residue and secondary aluminium can be prepared with only 10% of the amount of energy used for the first extraction.When exposed to air aluminium forms a thin oxide layer on the surface. This protects the metal from corrosion and weathering. Care:The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

Aluminium anodizedIn the eloxal-process a hard surface is produced using sulphur or chromic acid baths. This ensures that the material is visually refined and abrasion resistant.Care:The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

Aluminium powdercoatedsee Powder coating

BicolorBicolor is the MDF material. However the fibres have been coloured black. The coating can be in various colours.Care: Minor surface staining on the untreated edges can be removed using fine grained sandpaper. The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.

BlockboardThe block or block plywood is a wooden composite, also known as lumber-core plywood. It comprises a middle layer of parallel aligned wooden rods and on both sides covering veneer glued on laterally. Lumber-core plywood retains its form - even when subjected to fluctuating climatic influences, it does not bend and is highly resilient. It is also very light.It is a carrier panel for laminated plastic.Care:see corresponding surface and edge band: Solid wood.

ConcreteConcrete is a mixture of cement and graining. Due to production reasons small bumps on the surface of the base can not be ruled out. However they in no way the use of the furniture.Care:Minor surface staining can be removed using fine grained sandpaper.

Corrugated cardboard(E grooves, extra thin grooves, micro grooves)The internal grooves are made entirely of a composite of scrap paper and cor-

rugated cardboard waste from high quality recycling materials. The corrugated material is suitable as it delivers a high level of rigidity and elasticity. The outer cover is made of 80% virgin fibre cardboard. The particularly long fibres create a sturdy resistant structure (compared to recycled paper).

FlockFlocking is the process of depositing many small fiber particles (called flock) onto a surface. In a Flocking Machine the „flock“ is given a negative charge whilst the substrate is earthed. Flock material flies vertically onto the substrate attaching to previously applied glue. Flock is hard wearing and abrasion-resistand.Care: Flock can be removed with a soft, damp, clean cloth.

FU (birch plywood)Veneer plywood consists of pressed birch veneer. The individual layers are glued in a crosswise fashion on top of each other, to minimise material abrasi-on due to the opposing fibre direction. This means that plywood is considerab-ly more dimensionally stable than solid wood.Care: Minor surface staining on the untreated edges can be removed using fine grained sandpaper. The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

LaminateLaminate are high pressure laminates, which are produced from cellulosic web. Impregnated with curable synthetic resin they are pressed together under the influence of heat and pressure. Laminate is very abrasion resistant, shock proof, scratch resistant and food safe.Care:The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

LeatherAs it is a natural material there can be variations in colour. Colour variations can also arise from use and UV-Light exposure.Care: As necessary treat with neutral coloured leather fat.

Light-weight foam boardsLaminated sandwich construction made of a polystyrene core and two top layers impregnated with melamine resin and laminated onto the core.Care: The surface can be wiped down with a damp, soft cloth. If necessary you can use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

LinoleumLinoleum is made from renewable resources, such as linseed oil, cork flour and jute fabric. By using mixing and kneading techniques a surface is created, which is anti-static, bacteria-static and to a high level hard wearing.Care:The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth. Never use degreasing agents.

Magnetic boards (FNP sliding door magnetic) Backing material: FU (birch plywood)Surface: FU (birch plywood) is coated with HPL (high pressure laminate).The iron foil compressed in the layered compressed panel creates the magne-tic characteristics.The surface of melamine resin is hard wearing, scratchproof, waterproof and long-lasting.

MATERIAL - CHARACTERISTICS AND CARE


Black surface:The black surface is used to write on with chalk.Care:If required the cleaning can be done with water and a sponge as it is common practise for school black boards.

White surface:The matt surfaces are especially developed as projection surfaces for overhead projectors or similar and can be written on with board markers.Care:Writings of suitable board markers can be removed dryly. The quality of the board markers used has a decisive effect on the cleaning result (see bord markers). Due to the microrough surface it cannot always be cleaned dryly without leaving any residues. However the surface can be cleaned by using corresponding cleaning agents (see board markers) (often a damped sponge is already sufficient).

Waste disposal:Laminates are not classed as hazardous substances or dangerous goods. Wastes can be incinerated and then disposed of in sanitary landfills, according to local regulations. High pressure laminate waste is classified as “other harde-ned plastics” i.e., it is similar to domestic waste.

Board markers:General remarks on board markers:Writings with suitable board markers can be removed dryly. However a cleaning without leaving any residues is generally not guaranteed. Depending on the quality of the used markers or surface finish slight residues can remain visible (“ghost images”) which requires - depending on how intensively it is used - a thorough cleaning from time to time. For this thorough cleaning we recommend to use ethyl alcohol, the thinner V100 from EDDING or similar. Experiences show that quality, age, operating time and storage of the board makers have an enormous impact on the cleaning result. The ratio of mixture of the board marker ink (3 components), being necessary for the dry cleaning, is only guaranteed if the board markers are horizontally stored. Therefore absolutely observe the storage directions of the manufacturers. In case problems still arise concerning the dry cleaning of the boards we recommend to thoroughly clean the surface first of all. Afterwards different types of board markers should be tested.

Magnetic foil (Magnetique)The flexible magnetic foil is stuck to the rear side of the boxes. The protective coating on the magnet side guarantees a permanently high level of adhe-sive force. The material has been tested for skin tolerance. It is suitable for children’s’ toys and teaching materials. Care: Do not use acidic or abrasive household cleaners as these could under certain conditions limit the adhesive force of the foil.Due to the indeterminate variety of care product components we recommend that when changing the position of the boxes the foil and metal surfaces should only be cleaned with a soft cloth.

MDFMDF (Medium density fibreboard) is produced primarily from pine and spruce wood. The special fibres are mixed with synthetic bonding agents and are injected in the dry procedure under pressure and heat to homogeneous plates. Unlike the processing of solid wood this ensures that a considerable part of the tree can be practically used.As it is a natural product the colour of the wood based material MDF may vary depending on origin. This can in certain cases be visible even if the surface has been treated with wax.

Care: Minor surface staining on the untreated edges can be removed using fine grained sandpaper. The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. In the case of a waxed surface clean occasionally with a soft dry cloth, never wipe with a damp cloth!Melamine resin (FU white, coated MDF)Phenolic resin (FU black, FU red)The high quality procedure of film coating veneer (plywood, birch) can in certain cases lead to visible surface inclusions. Small surface scores can not be ruled out due to the nature of the material. The surface of phenolic resin or melamine resin is hard wearing, scratchproof, waterproof and long-lasting.Care:The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

OilWood oil is used for care, sealing and protection of the wood. By treating the surface the constancy and longevity, as well as its peculiar look and its usage property is preserved. Care:The surface may be cleaned with wet cloth. Avoid using acrid cleaning agents. Dampness emerges visibly on the surface and should be dried quickly. Oiled wooden surfaces should be cured regularly.Apply the colourless furniture oil thin and consistently in the direction of the grain of the wood, with soft cloth.Use white pigmented oil for the white oiled surface.(Note: oil-soaked cloth has to be depolluted by the package insert. Danger of autoignition!)

PolystyrenePolystyrene (PS) is a very common plastic, which is used in many areas of everyday life. It is distinguished by a high level of rigidity and stiffness.Care:A solution made from a neutral cleansing agent and water can be used for cleaning. A soft cloth should be used for cleaning and drying exerting minimum pressure on the product.Abrasive cleaning agents should never be used!

Powder coatingThe powder coating or varnishing is a coating process, in which an electric con-ducting material is coated with powder varnish. The procedure is very environ-mentally friendly, as the powder coating contains no solvent, and consequently there is no vapour emission either during the coating or the drying process. The surface is extremely scratch, impact and corrosion resistant.Care:Remove loose adhering dirt with a soft cloth. If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. Greasy or oily deposits can be removed with a soft cloth and white spirit, ensu-ring that the exposure time is kept as short as possible. Rubbing can cause the coating to become matt! Test on an inconspicuous area as necessary.After cleaning, the area should be rinsed well using clear water.Abrasive cleaning agents should never be used!

Solid woodOur solid wood is taken from European growing regions. As it is a natural pro-duct, there are inevitably deviations in the grain and colour. Colour variations

can also arise from UV-Light exposure. We intentionally did not carry out a surface sealing to ensure that the grain, impression and colour of the wood would not in any way be restricted.After a certain period of use a natural patina will appear.Care:Minor surface staining can be removed using fine grained sandpaper. Always sand in the direction of the wood grain!Surface oiled and waxed:If necessary the specific area can be treated again later with a colourless oil or wax.

StainWood is coloured with the help of wood stains. The colouring of the wood is effected by solvable colourants and pigments, which intrude into the wood, or settle on the wood. Stainless steelStainless steel is a term used for alloyed or unalloyed steel with a particular level of purity. Varnish Varnish is a liquid or powder coating material, which is applied in a thin layer to the product and using either chemical or physical methods (for example vaporising of solvents) restructures to form a continuous, hard film.Care: The surface can be wiped clean using a soft damp cloth.If necessary use lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. Clause 1: General

(1) The following General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Supply shall apply exclusively to the provision of all goods and services.

(2) No terms and conditions used by the customer shall be binding unless they have been expressly accepted or anything to the contrary has been agreed in writing, even if the sellers have not expressly rejected them.

(3) The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall exclusively govern the inclusion and interpretration of these General Terms and conditions of Sale and Supply as well as the conclusion and interpretation of contracts with the customer himself.

(4) The invalidity of any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The contractual partners shall be under a mutual obligation, within the ambit of the reaso-nable and in all good faith, to replace any invalid provisions with such valid ones that come as close as possible to them in terms of their commercial effect, provided this does not make any substantial difference to the content of the contract. The same shall apply if any significant loophole has not been expressly made good.

(5) The place of execution for all obligations arising directly or indirectly from this contractual relationship shall be Aschau im Chiemgau.

(6) The place of jurisdiction shall be Rosenheim. The sellers shall also be entitled to raise an action before the court geographically responsible for the customerís place of residence, place of business, registered offices or branch office.

Clause 2: Offers, scope of contractual performance, and conclusion of contract

(1) The seller’s offers of sale shall be non-binding. No contract shall be created until an order has been confirmed in writing, and this order confirmation shall be exclusively effective in defined the service to be performed under the contract.

(2) The seller reserves the right to make changes to the outer or inner design, the selection of materials, and the specification, even after the confirmation of order has been sent off, provided these do not affect the customerís specifi-cation. The right is also reserved to allow minor deviations in the structure and colour nuance of surfaces.

(3) Part-consignments shall be permissible.

(4) The documentation on which the offer and/or the order confirmation are based, such as illustrations, drawings, and data on weights and dimensions shall as a rule be defined as only being approximate unless they have been expressly designated as binding.

Clause 3: Prices and terms of payment

(1) Prices shall be defined as applying ex-works. Packing and other despatch and transportation costs shall be free of charge provided the total value of the goods being despatched exceeds the minimum stated in the price list. Packaging shall only be taken back if mandatory statutory regulations place the seller under this obligation.

(2) If the date on which the contract is created and the date of delivery are more than four months apart, and provided this is not due to any delay for which the seller is to blame, the seller can raise the price by a commensurate amount taking into account the costs of materials, labour, and other ancillary items which the seller has to bear. If the purchase price is raised by more than 30 percent, the customer shall be entitled to cancel the order.

(3) If the seller is required to meet the customerís requests for alterations, the additional costs thus incurred shall be charged to the customer.

(4) Payment shall only be deemed to have been rendered if and to the extent that the seller has free use of the amount on a bank account. Cheques shall only be accepted as a means of assisting payment.

(5) Should the customer fall into more than one weekís arrears of payment, or if legitimate doubts arise as to his solvency, the seller shall be entitled to revoke all payment terms and to cancel the unfulfilled part of the contract or else to require payment in advance.

(6) If the payment target is exceeded, interest at the rate of 2% above the re-levant applicable basic rate of the European Central Bank rate will be charged, without prejudice to further possible claims.Clause 4: Offset and withholding

(7) In the event of a direct debit mandate under the SEPA direct debit scheme a shorter time frame applies for the transfer of the pre-notification of at least three days before the debit transaction as stipulated, however we are in this case authorised to use a longer period of time for the pre-notification.

Clause 4: Offset and withholding

The customer shall not offset any accounts payable to the seller with any counter-claims unless these are either undisputed or have been established with final and absolute effect. In particular, in the event of a complaint he shall not be entitled to withhold or reduce any invoice amounts that are already falling due for payment.

Clause 5: Delivery period

The delivery date shall be stated to the best of the sellerís knowledge and belief, and shall be postponed by the commensurate length of time if the customer delays or fails in the performance of any necessary or agreed co-operative action. The same shall apply to any action taken in connection with labour disputes, meaning in particular strikes or lock-outs, the occurrence of unforeseen events outside the sellerís control such as the late arrival of goods or services from a sub-supplier, interruptions to traffic or transport or to ope-rations, or the shortage of any materials or energy. Changes requested by the customer to the goods to be delivered shall likewise lead to a commensurate postponement of the delivery date.

Clause 6: Transfer of risk

The risk of accidental perishing and accidental deterioration of the goods is passed to the buyer on transfer of the goods, or in the case of sale to destination according to buyer's instructions on delivery to the carrier, the hau-lage contractor or other person or organisation entrusted with implementation of the transport. This arrangement remains unaffected if the purchaser delays acceptance.

Clause 7: Return consignments

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS AND SUPPLY


No goods shall be returned unless and until the seller has given his express consent. The goods shall be properly packed and brought back by a forward agent or haulier of our choice. Acceptance of return consignments shall be refused if the customer fails to adhere to the foregoing.

Clause 8: Retention of title

(1) The seller shall retain title over the goods delivered until they have been paid for in full. This right shall also apply until all outstanding accounts, inclu-ding future and conditional ones, have been received relating to the business relationship between customer and seller.

(2) The customer shall not be entitled to transfer title to the goods by way of collateral, nor to pledge them, but shall be entitled to resell them in the normal way of business. He shall be deemed to have transferred the resultant claim to payment here and now to the seller.

(3) If the customer has worked on or processed the goods, the retention of title shall be extended to cover the newly created goods as well. The customer shall acquire co-ownership rights over that fraction of their value that corresponds to the ratio of the value of the goods the seller sells.

(4) If the value of all the collateral to which the seller is entitled permanently exceeds the outstanding accounts by more than 10 percent, the customer shall release collateral of his choice if the customer so requests.

(5) The seller shall be entitled to impose his rights of retention of title without having to cancel the contract.

Clause 9: Guarantees The warranty period is 1 year from the date of delivery of the goods.

(1) If both contracting parties regard the goods being sold as merchandise, the customer shall examine the goods without delay upon receipt, provided this is possible within the proper run of business, and inform the seller without delay and in writing of any defects or deficiencies. This notification shall include a full description of the fault and photographic evidence.

Should the customer fail to notify the seller in this way, the goods shall be de-emed to have been approved unless the fault was such that it could not have been recognised on inspection. Articles 377 et seq. of the Code of Commercial Law shall also apply.

(2) Guarantee claims shall be settled, at the sellerís choice, either by rework or by a replacement delivery. Should any attempt at rework or at providing a replacement prove fruitless, the customer shall be entitled, at his choice, to insist on a reduction of the selling price or cancellation of the contract.

(3) The customer shall not be entitled to any claims over and above the forego-ing, meaning in particular claims for consequent loss or damage, unless these are the result of the absence of any assured properties. The foregoing shall not apply if the seller has acted with intent or in gross negligence, or has violated any major contractual obligations.

Clause 10: Legal liability

(1) The customer shall have no claim for damages. The foregoing shall not apply if the seller has acted with intent or in gross negligence, or has violated any major contractual obligations.

(2) The above limitations as regards liability do not affect any claims of the purchaser arising from product liability. In addition, the limitations on liability do not apply to bodily harm or damage to health for which we are responsible or to loss of life of the purchaser.
