Urban legendFinal project
In the eye wear collection I have created, I hope to raise questions about visibility and optical illusions in the urban environment. The urban environment forces the individual to cope with feelings of chaos, loneliness and fear and it thrusts upon him the choice between assimilation and maintaining his own individual identity. In the collection, I investigated the manner in which different forms and materials could create another way of looking at reality, while relating to the human head and face as a mirror to the individual’s inner depths.

sWeet and go
Since the dawn of humanity, two major passions have motivated men. The passion of the momentary pleasure itself, and at the same time, the concern for tomorrow. The passionate pleasure of food and the routine of keeping ‘leftovers’, I present with this multiple use serving dish. The dish is for personal use and intended for desserts. Serves as a preparation, serving and storage all at once, through the thought of an eating celebration, continuous or otherwise, thinking of a sweet gastronomic passion. The dish consists of two different parts, both made of plastic is intended for repeated usage. The dish’s shape is inspired by paper cupcake cup and various food containers. The purpose of the cream shade is to highlight the dessert itself. While contemplating on the question, what’s the definition of “a personal serving”?
Screw out the original lid, and then screw in the bottom part on the top as the new lid. And eat passionately ;)

We all know this moment: walking in the house and suddenky seeing a bug! A huge multi-leg creature is on his way towards you! We all know this moment but not all of us the same way. I’ve always liked bugs. They were my favorite pet possibly because no one else liked them…
My design is a ring, A flower-Ring that acts like any other ring, except that when you meet A bug at your house, you can open this ring, collect the bug from the floor, holding the bug in your hand just like it was your favorite pet and then set the bug free by the window.

candle’s hoUse
This Hanukiya was created out of the desire to merge contemporary Judaica with existing Israeli architecture. Different Judaica elements, especially Hanukiyot, are a popular attribute of Israeli homes, but they lack a specific traditional placement. I have chosen to place the Hanukiya on the windowsill, where it is used on the holiday. This creates a synthesis between a typical modern Israeli invention – the window-shutter, and the most common Jewish custom, the custom of lighting the Hanukiya during Hanuka. The Hanukiya is built-in as part of the shutter, in its bottom segment. Throughout the year the shutter functions normally, and during Hanukkah, by a slight pull on the shutter, the Hanukiya appears with its compartments for the oil candles.

panther’s Food
The “pots project” was born out of a challenge to design a mini collection of products that is aimed at a specific community. The community I chose to focus on is the “Black Panthers” -a social protest movement that emerged in the neighborhoods of Jerusalem during the 70’s. The movement protested the situation of immigrants from North Africa who were underprivileged by law and had less opportunities in society, leading to social and cultural oppression. Looking back retrospectively, I have chosen to contribute to the community by preserving its unique heritage. Globalization has allocated equal opportunities to all in the Israeli society, but has also caused a blurring of the unique characteristics of different communities and has lead to a loss of knowledge and appreciation of the different traditions and customs. In response, I chose to create a set of pots made for cooking the most traditional food of this Diaspora - couscous. The set consists of three pots, each one representing a different generation: the grandparent’s generation, the parent’s generation and the grandchildren’s generation - my generation. The biggest pot is aimed at the grandparent’s generation, and its size is proportional to the number of family members which was customary at that time. The medium pot is smaller and its lower part has a device that requires it to be fastened upon the big pot, in order to be used. The same mechanism exists in the smallest pot, whose size reflects the amount usually used nowadays. The handles of the pots are designed to be held by multiple people, enabling several generations to hold them simultaneously.

please hold
Ever since my childhood, I had always held drinking cups in an odd way. Although I am right-handed, I would grip the cups using my left hand. I would intentionally break the cup handles, arguing that they are not comfortable for me to hold. When I grew up, I realized I was not the only one acting this way. Although I hadn’t noticed it before, my brothers were also holding cups in a different way than the usual, and I found that quite a few other people also challenge the conventional grip and hold cups in a unique way, sometimes without even being aware of it. As an antithesis to the individuality of the grip, we find the disposable generic coffee cup, trying to impose a uniform grip on everyone.
The “Please hold” design retains the familiar shape of a cup, but offers a variety of surfaces that allow the user to instinctively find his own unique way of holding the cup. The “Please hold” cup design allows endless forms of holding the cup, to the comfort of the user.

Worn Wings
As children, we hold the dream to be “superheroes”. Holding a dream to be the most powerful, ruthless people, flying over in any time you wish. Adulthood, most of us give up this dream and hold the understanding that we humans, with restraint. The garment I designed basic form is a male collared shirt. But there are hidden pull straps, which continued to allow easy access to the garment form transformation and gives the garment wearing a new identity.

eternal FlaMe
As a silversmith, I admire the inherent wonders of fire. One of fire’s biggest wonders, is it’s ability to split and divide without losing any of it’s size and power . A single flame can be divided into a thousand different flames of equal size.
As a tribute to this uniqueness, I created a candlestick that has two handles, both fashioned in the form of gripping hands. The user slips his hand into one of the hand-shaped handles, while the facing handle invites another user to insert his hand into it. In this way, two people can hold the candlestick at the same time, and together, enjoy the marvelous features of the fire.

The slipper is made of natural bath sponge fibers which remove the dead layers of skin through friction with the foot.
The slipper encases the foot with rubber fibers braided in a manner similar the natural braids in the fibers, thus creating a new and interesting visual integration between the natural and the industrial.

As a starting point, I chose to study the working process of a carpet restorer. Monitoring and studying his working methods, as well as investigating his work environment, shed a light for me on many of my own working methods.
Observing the work of the restorer and his work environment, raised for me questions about the relationship between an object and its space, questions that discuss the enclosing framework of an object and the possibility that an objects frame will not be uniform and consolidated. Does an object that transcends its enclosing framework invade its surrounding area? If so, in what manner? The object I created aims to impart an experience of a “layered creation”, a composited mixture that creates a unified fabric.
By ignoring the regular and accepted frameworks assigned to the body, by marking the joints and by searching for movement and volume, a new fabric can be created, one that is different, yet still uniform. Is it possible?

In the Jewish tradition, at Hanukkah children and adults play the dreidel. Which on it you can find the first Hebrew letters of the” words great miracle happened there” or, a “great miracle happened here”, when the term “here” refers to Israel and “there”, is the term refers to the rest of the world.
Tribute to the dreidel and the manner in which he implicitly represents the constant relationship between Israeli Jewry and Diaspora Jewry, I created consists of the tow forms, one of the “here” and one of the “there”. The letters themselves appear on the top patterned pixels, representing the basic shape of each route.
Then, by spinning it the two separate dreidels merging into one, missing letters and reference location. Merge into one solid Jewish culture.

Jewelries are more than an accessory that makes your outfit looks better, a jewelry is a little game, a grown up’s game, that give us the ability to play again. We touch our jewelries all the time, we take it off and then put it back on. My goal was to design an interactive jewelry. Jewelries that actually react to their user while he plays with them. These two rings emphasize the way we use jewelries, every movement you do with your hands impacts them immediately. Take a look and watch the way we use jewelries. – You might be surprised to find out they are actually a grown up game.

The project consists of a game console and a stage. On the stage, which is designed to resemble a circus, are three puppets. Each puppet is operated by motors, enabling it to move in a similar fashion to hand puppets. At the game console the user can select one of the puppets, and using a built-in microphone, he can contribute his voice to the puppet. The puppet then “sings” in the voice of the user, combining it with voice sound effects that are unique to each puppet.
Since the three puppets ‘sing’ together, and the recordings are ever-changing, this results in a unique sound experience, which is interactive and fun.

One of the ways to define people is by whether they like wearing hats or not. More than any other clothing or accessory, pattern hats are disliked the most. Some, really do like wearing hats but most people say hats do not compliment them. Why are pattern hats so disliked and how can we change them so they can fit anyone in any way they like? I designed two hats which give you the ability to change them the way you like to. The hats are made from hardware materials using craft techniques such as embroidery, sewing and painting. Mixing both craft techniques and industrial materials begs the question about how big can the influence of a part on a pattern can be.
