Welcome,

In deciding what I would want students considering an intern-ship at HSA to know about us, several things came to mind pretty quickly. mean? It means that we tend to be on the cutting edge; us-ing best practices and often creating new strategies to solve problems.

with outstanding staff in a challenging and fluid environment. dedication of all of it’s employees.

Leadership Development is a primary commitment of our intern supervisors. They are molding and nurturing the upcoming group of professionals. We will ultimately be turning over our work and our clients into their hands. It is imperative we give them everything we have to make them successful. There will be 78 million leaving the workforce in the future and only 48 million entering, so not only must we train them well, we must also give them the tools to maintain a nurturing and safe work environment. Our regional efforts will continue to foster the entire region’s excel-lence and maintain our linkages with the future of our agency. Our multidisciplinary efforts and strong collaboratives are vital to the welfare of HSA and our clients.

I look forward to supporting your efforts while you are at HSA and encourage you to embrace our agency values while you develop the core competencies we all strive to achieve. Meeting the needs of the San Mateo County community takes all of our indi-vidual and group effort. If you come to us with an open mind and heart, we promise to fill both with courage, conviction and many new and valuable skills.
