    (Muneeswarar or God like sage is avery popular village God of Tamil

    eight muneeswaras to look after the beings of the earth. They are

    called $hivaMuni, Mahamuni , Thavamuni , aathamuni ,'adamuni , %harma

    Muni , Pandi Muni , aswara muni and &a)hamuni.. *ll of them are called

    Muneeswara .$ome of them have avery fierce form and some of them have a

    peaceful form. Munseeswara worshipis popular in Tamil adu, +arnataka ,
