Sometimes lle most obvious things take the longest. arnreminded of all the wild hype thatsurrounded Tesla's work backin the 1980'sand the crazy new theories lat were put forth onhow his vireless power systemsuPPosedlyoperated.Smeuinga rubber fuh in the pan, BSRF railed against tre madness andeventually released a video presentation of Tesla's wirelesspower system in action. Remarkably, all it took was the geniusof Eric Dollard andgoing ba.cko Tesla'sfatent.Tlte model bujltfrom dre parent performed as claimed. No new theories orexplanadonswere needed. This video, Teslats lrngitudi-nal Electricity is prool enough tlat going back to theoriginal design is the best place o starl when n-ying to under-stand, r duplicalcsomeone'swork,So, tlre question is, has anyone ever tried to duplicaleLa.klovsky's I\{ VO as t is described in his patenr? After ffnallyasking myself the right question, I careitlly read *rough TheLalrhovsky Multiple Wave Oscillator flandbookfor the answer. \Vhat I forurd is quite interesling. Every singleMWO schematic printed in *re book, except for Lakhovsky'spatent diagram, s a model of or a va.riationon one of Tesla'selectrGtherapeuticdevicesl It seems hat for the last 30years,people have just be en putting Lakholsky's famous multi-ringedanterura at t}Ie end of aTesla circuit atrd fiinking tiat they hadrhe real rhing. All of tlese unis. vaiiacioruon a circuit presentedby Bob Beck in 1963,spark proftrsely betweenthe rings of theatrtenna. sob has repeatedly told experimenters o bujld theirMWOs with more and more power so that they will produceiDcreasing anounts of sparking on the anaerura.Oru fflescontainletters from people who report excellent results ftom thesedevices. The accolades. owever, have notbeen universal.Thebig problern with this style of MWO is that people who areseLsitive o subtle energy, ike myself, can't stand to be in thesame oom with one of thern whjle drey are operatingbecausethey are so irritating. Something was not right in all of this, andI wanted to ffgureit out.

E bltI\{ VO (sirn- Figure Iphffed). Afterstudying these circuits for a wbile, I realized that there werenumber ofbasic diflerences. Lakhovsky had plac ed the spark gand the capacitor iI] a different relationship in t]re middle sectof the circuit thanTesla and the others. Could this be importanLakhovsky had also stepped the volage down in the ffnal stof the circuit where Tesla and ttre othen all stepped the voltaway up . Was this signiffcant? What was Lakhovsky trying tathar was different tran what Tesla was t-ying to do?'l"here were some other tlings that also puzded me. BLakhovsky and Tesla had well developed subde sensi[vitLal,drovs\ used a pendulum to help him in his design work aTesla's expanded sensory abilities are menlioned tlroughohis writings and t}le writings of his biographers. Because of tI assume hat both of their electrotherapeutic deviceswtotally benign to be near, even to very sensitivepeople, lthemselves. assumehis becausenothingleavesmy laboratthat I don't personally like. ExPeriments I have run stronsuggest lrat a]l of the efiece that causeseDsitive eople toiritated by these rnfts (Becly'Kent style MWO) come from sparking betl'reen the rings of the anterura. This brings upques[on of whether or not tle MWO a.ntennas supposespark. Tesla is very clear in his writing tlat his units workrnuch better when all electrical discharges from the terminwere suppressed. t onepoint, he even describeswing 2 ncof wax to cover the teminals (antennas).Likewise,Lakholnever mentions sparking dischargesbetween the rings ofalteruras.Somephotos showabn$h or coronadischargeolloutermost ring of his MW

Figure 3between the rings of the antenna.Having resolved these issues to my own satisfaction, decided that the only way to ffnd out the rest of the lacts was toacnrallybuild acircuit drat behaved like the circuit in Lakhorsky'spatelt. To do this I had to decidewhat components o use, asno parts valuesare given in the patent. Even f they were, theseparc would not be available today. What io do? ln Figure l,Laklovsky begirx by powering the primary coil of a traruformeron DC (direct current) that s rapidly intrrupted by a device hecallsa "trembler" (V in Figure l). The purpose and finction ofthis trembler is to provide a sequence of DC puJses o theprirnary of the transformer by mechanically making and break-ing the DC power feed to the primary whding. I decided thatone of Klark Kent's 12VDC power supplies&iving the primaryof an automobile ignition coil interrupted by a solid statetransistor circuit was a suitable modem substihrte. It performedthe same fi.urctions that La}hovsky speciffes in ttre patent. I'acquired'one of Klark Kent's MWO unis from the Borderlandcollection and went to work.

Besides ttre ffrst stage power supply driving the primary ofthe coil, everything else n the Klark Kent MWO was essentiallya Tesla ctcuit, so I took it apart. I rernoved the high voltageoutput coil completely and rewired the capacitors andspark-gapso that f}ley were in the right place in the circuit according toLakhovsky. 'Ihe Ll and L2 output coilsI decided to build, since

no suitable replacements were available. Without ary cleardirectiom from the palent about ttre proper dimensioru for thesecoils, I actually had to liiz,t about it. Small, tightly wound coilsusually block high frequency signals and, for this reason, aresometimes called "chokes". Obviously, these coils were notsupposed o be extremely small beca.use assinga wide spec-trum of high frequency currents was their purpose. By cortrast"one of Tesla's designsspeciffes a 2 foot diameter coil set in thislocation in the output. But photos of Lakhorsky's MWOs clearlyshow no coils that large. I decided io y/ind two coils about 2inches in dianeter o begin my experimens. Ll, the primary, Iwound with 7 urrns of bare #18 single strand copper wire. Thehrrns a.reabout lp of an inch apad and stand free in the openair with no dielectric material or coil form near'by. L2, thesecondary, is only 5 urrns of similar wire and dimension. The h,/ocoils are placed end io end about an incb apart. The ends of L2are connected to rings I and 2 of the prinied circuit board MWOanterun developed by Eric Dollard and BSRI, as UushatedinLakhovsky's patent. Ll is connected to the capacitor and thespark-gap.

capacitor discharge creaiesa very difierent kind of "spark" thanan inductive collapse. (Anyone not understanding this shouldwatch the 6rst 20 minutes of the BSRF video Free EnergyResearch,Init Eric Dollard demonstrates oth inductive andcapacitive arcs ald discnssesthe differences betrveen them.)The Becl,rKent sgvle of MWO uses the circuit primarily as asource ofhigh voltage to produce arcing bet'aeenthe rings of theantenna. The various lengths of sparks at the antenna becomethe sourceof the wide spectrum offrequenciesproduced by thedevice. While thismethod mayproduce the requted wide bandof emissions,t \easnot the method Lakhorsky was working on.The patent is dear ou this poin Lakhorsky envisioned thecapaciior discharge as the source of his wide spectrum offtequencies and dre multi-ringed antenna as a resonator s)temto draw out even more aad higher harmonics by induction. Asuual, the simple ueation of multiple frequencies is not enough. The subtle naoueofthese requenciesandhow they arecreatedis also inporta-olMany experimens need to be tried on all of the possiblenethods of drivmg the anterma that are covered by the patent.Beyond tbat, the patent describes using or y one antenn4whereas all of the photos of Lakhovsky's MWOs show him rsinghvo antennas. The exact alterura hook-up is still urknowrt. Ihave no*' &iven the altenna bodr electro+tatically, asspeciffedin the patent (ngrue 5), and electromagnetically by eliminating

The efiects subjectively seem shongin the direct connectionmode, but both aregendeandpeneting. I have also driven two phi ratio spiral anteryras ill telechcstatic mode facingeach otler, eachspiral conneciedits center to one end of [2 (Figue 7). The effects n the spabehveen he two antennas retJremostpowerfrrl I have seenyWhile use of these golden section spirals is a deviafon froLakhorsky's designs, the conffguration of usitrgtwo antennasset up an area of high frequency electrostatic oscillatiobetween them was his intent, it seems. The effect n the arbetween lhe anteruras s quite skong and lends credence to telectro-static mode of operation, 'l-esla also experimented wthis method of driving the antennaswhich he called terminalsas shown in Figure 8. He used large copper plates for theterminals, and as such, did not expect them to augment the tofrequenry response of tle s)stem as Lakhovsky djd with multi-ringed antelmas. My experiments suggest hat when usione antenn4 the electro-magnetic hook-up ist}le shongest,asLakhorsky's RCO chcuis. When using two antnnas, telectastatic hook-up is the strongesl as n Lakhorsky's MWcircuits.

In futrue articles, I plan to address the construction of areLakhowky MWO anbnnamade from copper tubesstspendon silk threads asspecified in thepatent. I believe that thecopprings, rurencumbered by fie proximiy of any dielectric marial, will be able to 'ring' Aeely up into the very high harmonLa.khorsky euvisioned. Thls could be the 6nal 'improvemennecessary to get us all the way back to where Lakhorsky was1931.The design or the real MWO may havebeen with usalong.
